1:50 that barking dog play is pure genius
Im coppin this for our summer time cookout water ballon fights. First raid on the neighbors 🤹♂️💥😁🍺🍗
I love how there are so many trick plays from all sports, not just football
I didn't know Rick James was a goalkeeper 🤔
If any of these failed they would be considered the dumbest plays lol 😂
Well, they say the line between brilliancy and utter stupidity is razor thin. 😎
Especially 1:51
Or the most desparate (like throwing your racket up in the air when you have no other options). That is the definition of a trick play. Super desperate high risk, high reward - success=victory and/or fame, failure=defeat and/or ridicule/infamy
@@flard1754 especially the last one of the soccer goalie, one miss and your the laughing stock moron, stupid is as stupid does fool, I bet he had all the women wanting him after the game.....
@@jameslaw3740 Yeah that was just dumb .... he easily could of just caught it with his hands ......
The tennis player throwing his racquet 20ft in the air is a beast
That’s not allowed in tennis. As far as I know you need to touch the racket while it hits the ball.
@@m.r.sportedits6153 Yeah, I think I saw that in the sports segment of my local news. The sports anchor said it didn't count.
BTW, I think it was Jimmy Connors.
I always thought it was possible to do I had just never seen it. I'd say if you can do it, it should be legal. But since it's not it's still a highlight reel level play
@@justinthompson7404 it is not legal
@@mrmacross you are right that was Jimmy Connors
10:09 love how you can see the joy on his face when he realized that it worked
Holy smokes, that goalkeeper at the end is an absolute legend for having the balls to do that! Crazy!
To be fair, it was a 'friendly' game meaning it was just two teams getting together to practice and make a bunch of money from the fans.
Where’s the colts trick play against the pats? That was the best play of all time
I remember that! That fooled everybody
dude what a play that was big brain level
What... in the world...
Lmao
The Dolphins one looked like a modified version of that, but they had guys on both sides of the field, not one, so the formation worked a lot better
5:36
“He doesn’t even touch it”
How’d he get it in the basket then? Did he just blow it in?
He is built different
Women
I guess she meant he doesn’t grab it.. give her some grace loo
10:09 I didn't realize Rick James played soccer
yall fr have such hard times understanding things
I don't even like soccer, but the goalie at the end steals the show.
Ja tak samo chociaż mieszkam w Polsce, gdzie prawie wszyscy grają w piłkę.
You're right! I feel like he's Genghis Khan reincarnated.
Facts
Why did he even do that? I feel like it wasn't too difficult of a save if he just jumped normally?
You know he’s a true showman when he pulls out unnecessary theatrics at a time like that. Man risked a goal to get the stadium hype again 🤣
There's two I remember, but can never find;
1. Scottie Pippen [NBA] was with the Blazers (post Bulls era) and his team was down by two. He was at half-court, realized he didn't have enough time to make a play, so he started to walk away and chucked it behind his head... *and it went in for a 3-pointer.* His team starts celebrating, and Pippen looks confused, before realizing what happened.
2. In the early days of helmet-microphones [NFL] they didn't always work perfectly. One time a quarterback (for the Miami Dolphins, I think?) was ready to take the snap, but looked over to his coach, confused. He jogged down to a foot away from being out of bounds, tapping his helmet to say "i can't hear you". When he stopped, the Tight End rushed in and *snapped the ball as the quarterback,* the QB took off as a Wide Receiver.
There was a Cleveland Browns with the ole Johnny Manziel who did that same "helmet cant hear you" thing and then took off a WR. Not a great career for that kid, but that play was great.
That Columbian goalkeeper was definitely geeked off the scamas lol
I don’t even know what the point of that was 😂
Skooma?
The tennis one where he throws the racket up in the air is from an exhibition game. Not sure you’ll allowed to do that in a competitive game.
you're not allowed to do it
Well it’s still pretty cool
Connors did it and yes it counted, they made the rule after that
5:59 - Intentional safeties are pretty common in Canadian football. The rule differences are subtle in many cases, but one result is that if you’re punting out of your own end zone, you’re probably going to get scored on shortly after. It’s usually smarter to just give up the two and hopefully get better field position for your next drive.
Except you have to punt out of the enzone after a safety so you give the ball right back to the other team.
@@koolkitties8552 Uh, no. You make a kickoff from your 20 after a safety.
10:07 Rick James doing the Super Freak.
10:12 that moment when you find out Rick James played soccer...
"Cocaine is a helluva drug." -Rick James on that last play.
That Columbian goalkeeper was definitely geeked off the scamas lol
i feel sorry for people who likes that stupid quote
@@NBUltra187 I expect a card in the mail. I will in turn send you some tissue to wipe your tears away. Your sympathy means so much to me. I am certain that without it I would have gone on suffering. @@NBUltra187 how could I not with a friend and scholar like you by my side?
how about the browns trick play when they were pertending to be good
This video is about trick plays that actually worked.
It did work until people saw them play
Damn as a browns fan that kinda hurt
@@garetthudson5544 sorry man
I can't like ur comment cuz its on 69😫 sorry I would but
hey, at least the guy in the "wrong ball" play didnt trip like daniel jones
Man this like me on PlayStation 1 Madden 2000
“That shot will be shown for decades” this is my first time seeing this
sounds like that clip is well on its way to being shown for decades then
That last soccer play was nuts! I didn't know Rick James played goalie
This was a high quality video. Really good selections that I’ve never seen in multiple sports on multiple levels types of play.
That screen pass to the Screen pass that Taylor drew up for Cincinnati U was one of the most brilliant plays I’ve ever seen.
9:59 - Needing a break from his hard partying lifestyle, Rick James takes up soccer.
Tony Orlando with the dolphin kick save at the end left me in stitches.
0:47 That was pretty cool. Trick play in MLB. Nice one.
10:09 I didn't realize Rick James played soccer
3:40 Lmao the ref was so confused trying to see the ball 😂
That Buerlhe play was a 10 on the Buerlhe-meter all year.
Fantastic collection ty SBS
And winner of Goal Keeper of a lifetime goes to that man.
That last one.... MEGA CLASSIC!
The racket throw and the soccer goalkeeper were the best ones hands down.
This may have been the best collection of trick plays. most I have never seen.
I love how this channel includes vids abt all sports, not just any singular one
I didn't see any swimming lol
@@johnbush5347 not in this vid but check other ones
The photo on the video title brings back memories from middle school, this was an actual formation we did for trick plays called "muddle huddle"
That scribner QB trick play (the the #45 one) was my middle school P.E. coach lmao. He was on Letterman for that play.
dude this vid is intense.... well done
The goalkeeper at the end even managed to get in a sort of half-worm.....thanks for this.
Throwing the tennis 🎾 in the air imo and the goal keeping save was the best and their were some great ones
10:03 he’d be on a different kind of top video if he missed.
@Ethan Yeah it was a completely unnecessary move, and didn't provide any advantage.
Higuita was quite a character just like the rest of the Colombian national team at the time.
Also one of the England players was offside (you could see the referee signaling it after Higuita's stunt) so even if it went in it wouldn't have count.
This guy actually used Aphex Twin for his outro what a legend
best thing about the buerhle play is that was opening day. best play of the entire season in the first game lol.
That last clip 🔥🔥🔥🔥
LOOK AT THE PLAY BY BUEHRLE!!!! MERCY!!!!!!!!!! Man I miss Hawk. I know a lot of people couldn’t stand him but he had the best calls and was a great announcer for the Sox
Legitimately thought the goalie at the end was part of a Key and Peele skit or something with that hairdo hahaha
DAMN, WAS THAT RICK JAMES PLAYING GOAL TENDER??? LMAOOOOOOOO!! 10:01
My high school team was up 3-0, 4th and 11, 12 secs left on our own 5 yd line and our QB scrambled for 11 secs before being run out of bounds in the endzone and scored a safety. Then kicked an onside kick during the kickoff and the game was over when they rushed the player with the ball. We won 3-2.
7:03 We did that one day in a wreck basketball league but on tip off. We knew we were gonna win it so we set up on the wrong side and everyone bough it
Great video. Fun to watch.
Although a quarter do to rule changes can't be run exactly as displayed here. But, still fun to watch.
@5:41 this is possibly the greatest sports highlight I’ve ever seen
What a legendary kick by that outfielder, lazy play turned miraculous.
9:08--Wide receiver Al Toon of Wisconsin pulled off that play back in the 70s against Ohio State.
The goal keeper at the end... I'm Rick James Bit@#😂
3:58 punter takes the snap
5:36
“He doesn’t even touch it”
How’d he get it in the basket then? Did he just blow it in?
I had a teammate in high school that would always try to make plays like that Buerhle one at the beginning of the video. He'd always throw it away instead of just eating it no matter how many times we told him to not try to make a miraculous play.. He got cut his senior year because of that and other attitude issues even though he was a decent player.
That Goal Keeper was cool doing that
That was a hell of a save by Rick James there at the end.
Cocaine is a helluva drug! :)
Bruh...That second one on the whole video, the baseball one, that was sick, reminds me how I wouldn't feel any pain during competition (darn sure felt it afterwards tho & had to try & think of when it happened) with adrenaline & just being so focused on my job & the game as a whole (coming from a soccer player altho I played everything growing up & baseball was what I was second best at, playing first as a lefty who wasn't afraid of digging very hot ones outa the dirt coming from shortstop & third & always batting lead since I always got on base but they were singles & doubles with my boy hitting second who did the same but had to power to put it over the fence, or pretty consistently bring me home if I was on second & I batted righty, us lefties are weird), he took a pretty darn hard driven ball off of either the foot or the ankle (neither would be fun but the ankle especially) & didn't miss a single beat chasing it down & delivering & high skill & high concentration move, that was dope, no way there was any room in his head or body for pain at that moment & it probably didn't even hurt till he took a seat at the end of the inning & was like damn, that doesn't feel good...Major League ball deflecting off any part of u besides your glove from the mound & making it past the 1st baseline (& woulda made it to the wall if he hadn't intervened) is gonna leave a mark no doubt.
Edit: Rewatching it looks like it wasn't moving fast enough to make it to the wall, but still impressed.
Nice to unexpectedly hear Ian Darke at 9:59 Wish he was still doing boxing
Yo goalie Rick James with that kick at the end was sic
If you listen close you can hear that last goalie say "I'm Rick James bitch!"
2:20 THIS IS MY HOMETOWN TEAM
The one defending the play
Some really cool plays.
He’s a super keep.. super keep.. a super keeperrrr
Wait the picture to lure you in is Marino's clock play against the Jets. But the video they showed for Miami was great as well.
The one where he blew the baseball got me
Me too! That’s a lot of nerve. I’d be super pissed if I hit that ball & it had the chance to be fair.
The barking dog trick 😂
The blocking at 3:00 is insane
Gotta appreciate Federer and his dominance but I personally would’ve been so mad to see that happen to Nadal 😂
That goalkeeper's kick was super freaky, super freaky, yow.
The boomerang tennis racquet was the best!
That Mark Buhrle play was the Sox opening game too.
Rick james goalie save was dope!!!
The “wrong ball” play is poor sportsmanship in anything under Collegiate football.
One play you'll NEVER see: the fake 2 point conversation!
Yessir Colombia’s own 🇨🇴
You know you’re at an all time low when your kicker scores a touchdown😂
I didn't know that Rick James played goalie.
The last one made me LOL
Highlight Heaven and Savage Brick Sports need a highlight off
7:30 I tried this in highschool and they blew the ball dead because I was out of bounds when the play started
SBS somehow compiles the best and most famous clips for every one of his vids, idk how he thinks of them
@@brentgibson8810 agreed, its like you took the words straight outta my mouth
1:04 was sick!
If you have another video on this please include stauton river vs Patrick Henry trick play
that flint hills game vs elk valley game is in kansas. I live like 45 minutes from flint hills
Okay the baseball one…he was safe haha
I'm not really a soccer fan but that last clip was just amazing 😂👍👍
That goalie was a real "Superfreak".
Shame that this was posted before the Packer vs Rams game. Davante with that sauce
Higuita Colombian goalkeeper
The Best in the end!
🇨🇴
10:07 Little Richard? Rick James? Little Rickard!
04:50 all these years I had no idea the guy snapping the ball could be an eligible receiver.
Not supposed to be unless he reported eligible to the refs before the play
The Rick James goalie was awesome
The golf one was pretty cool.
The fake spike Western Michigan pulled out last night was pretty solid
Even I have done the golf shot off the wall, and I think I actually got it closer to the hole (about 15 feet, in my case).
The baseball. Kick is like the shoe polish play
Do best onside kicks plz
that scribner guy was my 8th grade gym teacher. he had a lasso as his “thing” he would just lasso things lol
The keeper’s save at the end was so unnecessary 🤣
You know it was cool tho😎
@7:00 , only in women's basketball would that work
Quite shocked, that she didnt miss.
That was done by Kobe and the lakers against Charlotte but ok whatever makes you feel better
Edit: correction: against the New Orleans hornets. Not the Charlotte hornets/bobcats
Completely different situation in that Lakers hornets game it was fourth quarter and the hornets were down by 2 they were trying to prevent an inbound pass they ended up getting mixed up in the traffic jam and Kobe got out and sprinted away and dunked.. In the DukeLou game the Blue Devils literally set the defense up on the wrong side they had no idea.
@@theflyingelvis8628 100% wrong. look at how they're lined up at the start. Davis for instance is behind Artest to the offensive side. There's not tangle up, Kobe just sprints the other way. no screens used. Why would the hornets only guard the wrong side of the court unless they were duped?
