Hi I just bought this jacket and upgraded to CE level 2 shoulder protection but the elbow pro is sewed in, you said you can upgrade to CE2 am I missing something and not finding the Velcro?

@@KatMak-qz7myyou have to go through the bottom of the jacket where the opening for the back protector is and then reach through to the elbow. I just had to do it, it’s awkward but doable.

It depends on which jacket you try on some how a euro fit and others have an American fit and it doesn't tell you which is which. I don't know about this jacket but the t-gp plus r v3 is an American fit and is very relaxed I can fit into a medium and it's a little snug. The Smx air jacket is euro and an XL feels snug on me. Since they do free returns try the jacket out. I have the v3 and love it. I wanted the Smx air because it looks cooler but it feels too tight in all the wrong places especially the arms and my arms are small.

@@trsskater I just bough the SMX from SA in XL and it is a bit of a weird fit. It's like a 1/4 size too big but only in certain spots and right on everywhere else. I tried this jacket on at a local store and it fit similar but honestly more consistent. I'm 5'10 195 with an athletic build and like I said it's only off by a hair and I'm not sold on the looks of this jacket so I'll rock the SMX. Just goes to show you need to try something on because everyone is built different and every jacket has a unique fit despite the universal sizing.
I usually stick with the same brand when combining jacket and pants. There is no wrong choice. Alpinestars has good options if you want more ventilation or protection.

If you turn the jacket inside out, you should find the spot to remove the Nucleon armor.

@@ninji5226 You are right. I've tried that jacket and now the new TGP Plus R v4 and it has the same weird fit when the V3 fits very good.
About Airflow, do they flow more or same air when compared to Klim Baja s4?
Comparable to the Baja S4.

Hi! I wear 52 in Alpinestars gp plur r v3 leather jacket, should I go for L or M for this jacket?
We found the jacket to run true to size. If you go by the Alpinestars sizing chart, you should be in good shape.
Cool jacket but I feel like I’d get more bang for my buck with the Sedici Podio jacket.

i disagree, not as flexible, not as durable and the pads are very thick and uncomfortable. sedici is more breathable tho.
