Motocross Action Magazine was on the floor to capture some raw video of some of the fastest riders in the world of Supercross. Today athletes were able to get a look at the track and shake down their race bikes before Saturday night. There is a huge 110ft triple on the track and Hunter Lawrence didn't quite make it! Feld is now pushing the jump closer together and there is rain on the way in Atlanta. A lot of action already and the gate hasn't even dropped for the East vs West shootout. Jett Lawrence, Eli Tomac, Justin Barcia, Hunter Lawrence, Jo Shimoda, Austin Forkner, and more were able to get a little extra seat time today and try out the massive booter. Check it out in the video. Lap times will be extremely long tomorrow in Atlanta, Georgia.

After 30 years of saying open stadium races need to be at super speedways, the last few years of these have been great.
Yeah I agree, the indoor stuff are to small now. This track is awesome best this year.

@@EarthSurferUSA it was better when it was on 2strokes the tracks were tamer and the racing was better more so with the 125s the jump that was make or break was the triple, outside to get over it inside double single. 4strokes have been bad for supercross not bad for the outdoors.

Saw a few guys worried about it on IG especially after Hunter cased it and had that pretty big get off. It'll probably get changed before race day if riders are concerned about it as you never see these dudes voice concerns on social media. If the track builders do keep it we'll see
some real madness come race day on that bad boy.
Is it possible that’s the biggest Triple in Supercross history nice to see it showing the guys there true potential!
@suzuki7204eva Stupid in my opinion, arent they professionals ? They should know their own limit then, Hunters Crash was not becouse of the jump, he scrubbed it and didnt have enough speed, simple as that.

@@daniellarsson3699 it doesn't work like that in a race. A cased a big jump I had no business doing at the time on a supercross track, crashed hard. Thing is during a race you have adrenaline and you want to win. In a race for a big jump like this you'll see guys getting away with cutting the turn or battling someone and barely clearing it. Sometimes you know you don't have the speed but you go for it anyways to stay ahead. That's why really big jumps should always be after an established section, ie whoops. Big jumps out of a turn where you got people banging bars and trying sketchy inside lines is dangerous.

You are talking about adrenaline with an ADHD person you know, if i can stay within my limit with grave ADHD coursing through my veins, then others can also. Its about discipline, and these guys for sure has discipline. If the jump is dangerous enough, then you have to be able to control yourself and not do stupid things like ''going for it just to stay ahead'', dont cut the corner do clear the jump then. Be intelligent even while riding.
But someone also said this, their corner speed is not as good as when 2 strokes were a thing, becouse then you had to be fast in the corners to clear the jumps. The massive torque in these 4 strokes makes people lazy. And not as good of a rider, becouse they can be ''slow'' (SLOW COMPARED TO OTHER PROS BEFORE NOT COMPARED TO MEE!!!!!!) and still make the jumps becouse off the torque.

Absolutely MASSIVE! Hope Hunter 96 is ok. That's exactly how I completely shattered my ankle last year. 🤕 Ouch!

@@farmerkevin I think normal triples are round 65' and this one was around 110-120 I think? Absolutely massive lol

I was just about to say how amazing these guys are at getting the exactly right distance over that huge jump and then. Whaa Ohh.
The 450 guys were making it look easy, even if a few of them were over jumping it.Always better to over jump than to come up short.Coming up short is how necks and backs are broken and Careers cut short if You're still able to walk!

@@MX304 Supercross = Super Motocross. These aren't B riders. Otherwise race at chicken licks raceway. Triples have been 65 feet since the 1980s.

@@GT-mn3bx I'm with you 100% back in day guys would play on 150+ foot jumps on 250 2 strokes so this isn't crazy just for some first time seeing it like this. this is more like 90+ footer and it seems so massive but some of the quads they bust out are about that and more technical being rythem sections I hope the rain holds off so we can see how it races . Would totally suck to have the best track design be a mudder

Yep thats a huge triple, but I worry about the guys landing on lappers or others that aren't jumping it. It's definitely a send and a half. Glad Hunters alright.

@@jdubya-fh6mv Welp, I was Watchung qualifying just now and I noticed the triple was a double, DB said they cut it from 120ft to 100. So I stand corrected, they actually fixed it. Good on em. I'm not one to usually say you know change this change that, but that triple was gonna be a death trap. Especially for Supercross.
