Great bike, I've had one for 5 months and it's a lot of fun to ride, people are saying it's a bit heavy and under powered but I really doubt they ride them at the total limit anyway so it's a bit of a mute point. I have changed the stock pipes to Akra's which really sweetens the sound.

Ktm Does not have a bike in said class, the only ones are the Duke 690 and 1290, but the 690 costs about 500 less but is not as powerfull, granted its lighter and more flickable but the shiver does not want to be light and flickable. The 1290 is just in a very very different Class and the only thing you can compare this bike too would may be the 790 wich isn´t out yet.

Bè l'ho comprata. E sono veramente contento. Allora: telaio eccellente nei cambi di direzione agile e stabile anche nelle sconnessioni e nei curvoni a velocità elevata. Avantreno perfetto non ti tradisce mai, composta, sembra una lama. Freni fantastici, nel misto fra staccate e cambi di direzione è veramente notevole. Motore pieno e corposo fin dai bassi regimi, ammortizzatori entrambi regolabili in precarico ed estensione. Sono ancora in rodaggio quindi non l'ho ancora tirata oltre i 6.500 giri. Performance oltre questi giri non le ho ancora provate. Ti trasmette una sensazione di sicurezza e stabilità che poi sono reali ed effettive. Altro che i telai e i freni delle Mt09 e mt 07, quando ti trovi un curvone con sconnessioni o devi frenare nei curvoni, non ti devi più fare il segno della croce. Poi se vuoi fare un viaggetto è comoda sia per te che per il passeggero. Insomma sono ancora incantato. Difetti? Un pò più pesante della media ma ci si abitua subito, il raggio di sterzo che è un pò limitato e il TC che è invasivo ma si può escludere o usare al livello 1.

Ma quale moto di una certa cilindrata, nelle stesse condizioni quando ti fermi al semaforo d'estate, non butta fuori un calore fastidioso? Nessuna.
They finally released the thing with the riding season half over huh? I was very interested in this bike but got tired of waiting, bought a Kawi Z900 instead. Fast, smooth bike, Hard seat, corners well. I like it.
It's a little pity Aprilia restricted it to 95hp to make it A2 legal (35kw). It should have around 115hp to be a competitor to ST, MT-09, Z900 and even GSX-S750 with much less cc. Ducati Monster has around 110 i belive with 821cc V2.
secondo me la moto è ottima (l'estetica è soggettiva) xrò sul mercato ci sono la MT09- e la street triple a circa lo stesso prezzo( 8.500e) che secondo me di motore hanno qualcosa in + sopratutto l' MT09.....e poi purtroppo la rete apriia in italia è troppo frastagliata....secondo me la casa di noale avrebbe dovuto fare di + per sopravanzare la concorrenza proprio x invogliare l'acquirente a mettere in secondo piano questo problema... peccato
la zeta è un tollone, l'agilità della shiver se la sogna. senza contare che la z800e è fatta con materiali molto più economici... anche io ho dovuto fare la tua scelta, alla fine ho scelto la shiver 750 (2 anni fa!) ma non me ne pento assolutamente. Fa anche la sua bella figura.

I due cilindri fanno meno cavalli, hanno meno velocità massima ma hanno anche più accelerazione rispetto ai 4 cilindri. Se ti piace avere una moto con tantissima accelerazione allora prendi il 2 cilindri, altrimenti se ti interessa la velocità massima prendi una 4 cilindri. Considera altre 2 cose: 1- con una naked oltre i 200km/h non ci vai perchè 1- i limiti di velocità su strada sono ben più bassi, 2- ti arriva un vento della madonna e non riesci più a stare attaccato al manubrio. In generale con una naked ti diverti da morire sui passi di montagna o collina. 2- il 2 cilindri a causa della sua accelerazione è anche molto più nervoso rispetto ad un 4 cilindri... però, per conto mio, è l'unico motore che ti emoziona ogni volta che ci sali sopra; ma questo è soggettivo. scegli bene miraccomando! Inoltre prova anche la ciclistica come ti trovi meglio, è importantissima. in tutto ciò, io ho una shiver 750 del 2015. lamps! (v)
Yea I’m on the fence about MT09 or the Shiver. Personally I like the looks of the Shiver better but the MT09 has a quick shifter standard I think now? the MT09 seat is shit and so are the lights for night riding. Seat alone is 250-450 bucks. Not a huge Ducati fan. But that’s just me.
Stupid A2 trestricted crap. I was hoping BMW would finally adapt the Nuda engine and introduce the F900R but noooo ... F850R with 95 crappy A2 hp ... fuck all of them. The real shame is the Shiver is a beauty and a V2 engine. The monster got less displacement and needs quite a bit of revs and is weaker than even the GSX s 750. Why cant we have a V2 900-1000cc nakedbike with ~110-120 HP? Instead the next step us is 130hp on a 1200 V2 Monster or 125hp on that ugly ass BMW Boxer.
Js3000 because the Sensor is in the gearbox. Some bikes have the speed sensor in the front wheel, so they show 0 kph after a long wheelie. There is not a perfect way to measure speed without GPS. They could probably program the Speedo to show 0 in neutral, maybe it'd just a problem with the pre-release software
