I just got my license and drove 8 hours. At first I was scared of the highways and the new places but by the end I was driving like a pro. I wasted a lot of time on door dashes that were 8 -10 miles away but it gave me experience and an understanding of what not to do. I was just taking every order now not so much. I did learn the power strips in my area and now I just plan on staying there. I live in northeastern pa and it can take you way out in the sticks if you aren’t careful but always restaurant orders never stores. I don’t do by hour because it’s $15.25 and every order will guaranteed be in a farm town 40 minutes away with no tip. So I just do by order.
Mike, I've never done any gig job ever, and have little interest, to be honest. But I love watching your videos because they are very entertaining. Keep it up!
You can live the gig life vicariously through me! I get to keep the money tho 😂
So I’m not the only one!! Yes and it’s interesting to learn about even if I’m not doing it! & gives me a new perspective when I’m ordering DoorDash 😆
well let me tell you that you are lucky you have the best teacher to learn everything in delivery, excellent 👌 👍 good luck
She def in good hands. Good luck on your journey.
She is so so beautiful 😍😍😍
(I’m her sister btw😂)
Hi Ayna hope you're doing well! 👋🏻she really is a catch haha
That's a chemistry right there 😊❤️
Aww she is beautiful Mike.
❤❤
Whoww Mike congratulations to both amazing couple ❤🎉
Thanks Josh!
Just did my first amazon flex block 5:15-8:45....a lot harder than I expected. 45 packages or so, but it was the apartments that were really slowing me down in the city with trying to get in the buildings, parking etc...Not to mention I ran out of day light and had to call it quits about 9:00 with a lot of packages left that I couldn't finish delivering. Not sure I would do it again, just for the simple fact of not knowing where I would be assigned and having to deal with busy city parking and the challenges of apartments.
Intresting, I'd like to see where this goes a pov from a literal new driver in a car but a new driver to gigs.
She's brand new! Still needs to get her license but she'll be signing up, stay tuned!
You should shadow her as she does each of the apps so you get a good perspective as a new person.
Then at the end break down what she did right out wrong and break down her actual earnings.
Definitely going to shadow her first shifts. Stay tuned!
Do videos together for the time being, so this can help out the community
Yes more to come!
Thank you for this video. I am new to DoorDash as well as I am to Pittsburgh but hope to learn a lot from you guys. God bless you 🙏
Appreciate you!
I am Brand new this side gig
Welcome! More to come
Hey Mike. I'm trying Uber eats. I have a mileage app but in order to keep accurate track do I calculate both my time to the restaurant from my location or just the time from the restaurant to the drop off?
When you're online you're actively looking for, or already have an assignment. This is active time that you WILL include in your hourly calculations. Basically if you're online it counts as work hours (assuming you're actually looking for work and not just leaving it on).
I got a Ford edge what kind of car do you drive
2015 VW Passat
Aw man. That Red card with DoorDash can be a nightmare. 🙄
It can be, but for me it works 99% of the time
She’s very pretty, Mike :) happy for you my brother
Thank you! She's wonderful 🙏🏻
Rahima seems so genuine
She’s an incredible woman 😄
Do you have any video where you analyze the use of your car while doing all this gigs? You offer a lot of data on your vids so your take on the wear and tear on cars would be interesting. I lean to think 30k-40k miles per year is not sustainable in the long run. Thoughts?
This video discusses how to understand gig earnings/numbers etc it may offer some insight: czcams.com/video/VzFOJQhyng8/video.html&t
Or were you looking for a walk around of the vehicle itself?
did you get my message, twice i asked for a refund on the data sheets for 14 dollars, did you get them
Yes! My apologies Lynda, I processed this on 6/12
mike show her how to do a catering order, on dlivrd, deliverthat or zifty please she would love catering because it pays the most ;)
She actually joined on my DeliverThat shift and will be joining for Flex, another DeliverThat shift and more!
Which do you find to be the best and which area you in? Or general area.
Can you do some videos on Uber Eats on a bicycle because that’s what I do Uber Eats on
I’d be interested in testing that 🤔
Maybe a first for this question but what car are you driving in the video? Also, where is the key? 😳
Volkswagen Passat, key is auto detected via the FOB. Push to start
I always have pepper spray in my car lol
I always had it when doing rideshare
I don't understand how you would track it when every day is different.
Track mileage or overall success? So using our tracking spreadsheets (or any method) we're looking for trends. So basically are there any trends in the data? This will push you to possibly drive more during certain days/times and towards certain apps. Even DoorDash has said it's hard to predict repeatability though so yes there's definitely variability here (about.doordash.com/en-us/news/only-the-recipe-is-predictable).
@@YourDriverMike Thank you.
Too much pressure for a brand new driver. Need to have been driving for at least one year. It’s really easy to mess up your driving record in your first year.
Definitely risks as a new driver, I encourage her to just stick to DoorDash or Uber Eats to start and go from there. Seeing the starting/ending destination will help become familiar with the roads first without getting pulled away to completely unknown areas.
Your girl is super cute
Point pickup went out of business GOOD! it's about time because they SUCKED!
I liked the margins here in Pittsburgh just not enough order volume at all and that’ll def sink the ship 🆘
What sweet people you both are! I am new to DDash as of last week(Pittsburgh here too)~Not sure of my self completely yet..
Question:How do you keep your car from stinking?🤣😳🫣Ugh~ I plan on signing up for your newsletter, Can’t wait to follow more of your content you give lots of great info and ideas..Cant wait to watch Rahima learn as I’m learning!💕Good luck Rahima!
