- This is a recording of a battle against a Frostclaw in Horizon: Zero Dawn with only music audio enabled. (The Frostclaw is a machine found in the new DLC for Horizon, The Frozen Wilds.)
Horizon, along with this music, is owned by Guerrilla Games. This video is only intended as a convenient way to enjoy the music of the game.
The picture is a screenshot of a Frostclaw from photo mode. I took it; you may use it however you want to.

@@koniczka2000 Not quite. The Fireclaw theme is far more robust and dangerous-sounding...because it IS more dangerous.
It's all fun and games until you hear this music, but you don't see the enemy in sight.
Frostclaw is not a big deal but the fucking fireclaw is.
And then you hear the roar.....

@@manchest100 Completely disagree, I destroyed the fireclaw in the Frozen Wilds DLC. The frostclaw is a bitch.

That thing was modeled after a bear so at least that makes sense
its Winnie the poo made of metal with ice powers they, like the real life bears can stand on its 2 feet and leap across the battle field to sit on you

I don't know how Hephaestus managed to create a machine more intimidating than the Rockbreaker, but the Frostclaws/Fireclaws blow it out of the water.. or ground, I suppose. There's just something so blood-chilling in just *hearing* the Frost/Fireclaws from a distance, never mind when this track starts up. Terrifying.
Frostclaws aren’t that bad, Fireclaws are ridiculously hard to get down half health.
It’s not that they are too difficult; they’re easy once you know what you’re doing. But they are definitely intimidating. Between their size, their speed, and that theme of theirs- you can’t deny the stroke of fear when you hear that theme, but have no idea where the Frostclaw is!
The rockbreakers still the bigger threat since those assholes spend 75% of the fight burrowing underground especially the Daemonic Rockbreakers. I play on ultra hard so to me every big machine is a challenge. I cannot play this game in any other difficulty. I get bored.

@@AMaidenlessRunt yea fuck rockbreakers man. especially if they are in pairs. its a nightmare on ultra hard.
Frozen wilds starts off by throwing a jet engine scorcher violently lunging from a mile away at you...it only gets harder as you run into those regenerating trees. then the long legs and 1 scorcher combo threw me for a loop. can only imagine what the final challenge awaits.

Fighting Fireclaw in the volcano with this music in the background, I couldn't breathe from the epicness.
Arataks challenge... i did not know how to deal with 3 frostclaws + a demonic one. I hid in the little rock passages and thought: i dun come out. Nuh-uh. You come out. I stay!
My hands were sweating along with everything else 😂😂
The fireclaw theme is different
Frostclaw and Thunderjaw themes are the most memorable imo

The ranged ground attacks. Those friggin ground attacks will always haunt me
The Fireclaw's theme in the cauldron is more brutal
I've actually never heard it! UH mode is a pain; I haven't gotten around to finishing the cauldron.
When you have a chance record the theme in the cauldron final boss fight, the drums there are more epic compare to the frostclaw
Eventually! I definitely won't be able to do it on UH mode, but I have a Story mode save I'm (very slowly) working on.
And I thought I'd be terrified dealing with a Thunderjaw on UH mode when I went up against one. Turns out I gotten myself harden in battle after dealing with scorchers and frostclaws along with fireclaws on hard mode itself on my first play of the game. Easy kill for me. lol
Probably won't be any good though when I go up against deathbringers and fireclaws on UH mode.
Welp. I ran into my first Fireclaw today. They are definitely harder than Thunderjaws, Frostclaws, and Deathbringers :)

This thing can body slam you if your not careful

when i play this on ultra hard i dont know what i be more scared of, either the thunderjaw, stormbird or frostclaw & fireclaw.
Fireclaws are scariest for me, but I've been having a lot of trouble with Stormbirds lately... :)
I take on thunderjaws and birds over claws and scorchers anytime.
I actually never had fought a Frostclaw or fireclaw yet. So what do they do.
@@ginogameplayer2255 i beat them on ultra hard once and let me tell you it was not easy. i will say, whatever you pick up during the game the first time around it will carry over when you play a new mode.
@@ginogameplayer2255 when fighting the fireclaw, i use the ice rail and ropecaster. also i hit them with two and three arrows. when you fight the frostclaw, i use the sticky bombs and ropecaster and arrows too. dont forget to dodge

So, i'm the only one that has found the stalkers harder to take down compared to this thing? I can destroy both variants even with bad mods, but the stalkers just kills me in one hit when they go melee.
yeah stalkers are tough!!! especially on the higher difficulties, where there is really _no_ leeway: if you aren't dodging their attacks, you are dead. still, if you pay attention to sound cues, their motions are predictable -- just try not to get surrounded by two of them :D
Thunder jaw vs this guy
NargacugaKing Thunderjaw beats it hands down, these guys are tough but go down very quickly.
Disc launchers would probably blow up the Frostclaw's freeze sacs (and the freeze unit) pretty quickly; then it's basically dead! :D

In terms of the gameplay Frost/Fire Claws are harder than a ThunderJaw
because they relentlessly attack you with that stupid claw swipe and the tearBlast arrow doesn't work on their shoulder armor fu*k, they're kinda like the Giant Fish humanoid from bloodborne's DLC the ones guarding lady maria's Rakuyo. plus they're under the influence of Daemon, it makes them more stronger like the corrupted machines.
thunderjaw on the other hand has Disk launcher and Rifle cannon that you can tear and use against them making it an easier fight but the redmaw or a corrupted Thunderjaw is a different story, try taking two thunderjaws at the same time R.I.P.
but in terms of reality a thunderjaw would be stronger than a Frost/Fire Claw. think about it as T-Rex vs a Bear
