*Correction to the measurement of sugar. The amount of sugar captured in this video is actually 1 1/2 cups not 1 cup. The caramelization of sugar is for the other hard coconut candy not this one that you just watched. So use 1 cup of sugar if you prefer a not too hard coconut candy and more if you prefer a harder coconut candy.*

@@SpicyDeliciousGoodness how many cups of suger should I put with 5 coconut
Thank you ma
@@afnanalolo734 You can use 4 - 5 cups of sugar or more, depending on the texture you want. Less sugar means it would be soft and more sugar makes it hard and crunchy.

Mmm yummy yummy
Thanks for subbing!
Nice
Thanks
I need to do this
You should because it is so delicious. Thanks for watching.
Apart from the sugar what else did you add to it, That makes it that delicious
Pls I need more explanation pls
You only need sugar, every other thing na jara. The ingredient list is in the description box. I just added a pinch of salt. I have another coconut candy recipe made with condensed milk. If you are interested you can check it out. Search for how to make coconut candy with condensed milk on my channel.
This is my husband to be best food oo let's just go with the name food,he love it so😮much
🤣🤣🤣 I bet he does. Thanks for watching.
Hello ma
Thanks for teaching
Please my coconut candy did not stick together, please what can I do
Maybe you used too little sugar or the coconut still has some moisture. If the coconut has moisture, cook it longer or preferably squeeze out any liquid from the coconut before adding it to the caramelized sugar. Thanks for watching.

Thank you ma
How long can this last.
Can it last for weeks or a month?
It can last longer if you refrigerate it. But like I said earlier it doesn't spoil easily. It is dry and coated with sugar so the chance of it spoiling quickly is very slim. I hope that answers your question.
Now I have a size hustle business
But please ma if I’m making a large quantity , wat preservative can I use ma ?
I don't know much about preservatives but it does not go bad quickly. You can refrigerate them if you are worried. My advice is to start your business small and increase the quantity as it grows so that you do not have to worry about leftovers.
Please I tried its but not hard and crunchy how do you do the hard and crunchy one with measurements of sugar please do the video
Use 1 1/2 - 2 cups of sugar. The more sugar you use, the harder it becomes. Read my pinned comment. I hope this answers your question. Feel free to ask any follow up question. Thanks for watching.
Pls can I use brown sugar?
Yes of course.
Hi ma’am I tried this your coconut candy recipe it came out looking delicious but it tastes bitter
Sorry to hear that. I think the sugar was burnt. if the sugar is burnt the coconut candy is going to taste a little bit bitter. Try not to burn the sugar the next time you make it. When it begins to turn black that means the sugar is burnt. Make sure you cook it on medium to low heat and stir the sugar if you discover that some parts are not melted but the color of the melted part is changing so fast (but do not stir frequently to prevent crystallization of the sugar). This will help melt the sugar uniformly and quickly. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching and giving it a try.
Pls how long can it last.
Thank you
It doesn't go bad easily and I have never left it for a very long time. From my experience it can last up to 3 weeks if not refrigerated. Thanks for watching.
Ma the sugar you use is not one cup of baking measuring cup
You are right. I made two types as stated in the video but I only captured the sugar caramelization of the one that needed more sugar. I apologize for the confusion. I should have mentioned it in the video. Thanks for watching.
Ma how many coconut do u use
I used coconut chunks so it is difficult to say how many coconuts I used. That's why I measured the flakes. So grate one coconut and measure it, if it is not up to 4 cups, grate another one until you get 4 cups. I think you are going to need more than 1 coconut. Thanks for watching.
Please is coconut water not necessary in making coconut candy?
Just asking
You could use it but that means you will have to cook it down. I have never used it but have used water when I was younger. My question is what is the purpose of adding coconut water. Does it add more flavor or help to dissolve the sugar? I know that some people add water to the sugar and cook it down before adding the coconut flake. If you ask me, I think it is unnecessary and a waste of time and energy. Sugar can caramelize without adding any form of water. Adding liquid is just a method that could be done without because it extends the cooking time. Thanks for watching.
Please can you use honey
You can use honey but It won't be crunchy or hard. Thanks for watching.
Please what can I add to make it strong
I added enough sugar but its still not strong and customers were complaining....
The only thing that makes it harder is more sugar. I have you tried squeezing out the moisture from the grated coconut (if you are using fresh coconut) before adding it to the caramelized sugar? If not, you can cook it longer until it begin to clump in the pan. Hope it was helpful.
That’s a whole lot of sugar oh lord 😮 but the coconut Candy looks delicious. This is not something to eat all the time oh no
It is okay not to love it. The recipe is for people interested in making it.
Please is not Going to be sugary?
You mean sweet? Yes it is sweet. I am guessing that you are worried about the amount of sugar used. I pinned a comment to explain what happened. You can use less sugar if you don't want a hard coconut candy. Thanks for watching.
