I genuinely hope they heard what you said or watched this video so the can get some feedback on how to improve the restaurant!
Not meaning to sound harsh, but it's lunch time on a Sunday and there there is hardly anyone there, that should say a lot about their marketing. I know this is biased to the video but from what I see their focusing more on how much toilet paper there should be rather the pricing and quality of food, it's a ramen restaurant not a toilet roll gallery 😩

Ichiran ramen is my favorite in Japan! My father is half Japanese and whenever we go visit Japan, we always have to eat at Ichiran. My family is bias towards Ichiran though. My grandfather is British and his first Japanese dish when he moved to Fukuoka was ramen. My grandpa started dining at Ichiran back in early 1971 and he took my father, grandma, and aunt there at least once every 2 weeks soon after. They literally saw my family grow up and I'm glad to see their business expanded as well. However, I was born and lived in NYC most of my life and the taste at Ichiran in Brooklyn is a little different. Not bad by any means, but it's not as amazing as the one in Japan. It's my 3rd favorite ramen in NYC after the extra fatty tonkotsu ramen at Momosan and the tonkotsu ramen at Ippudo.

I totally agree that Ichiran ramen in Japan was the best ramen I have ever had in my life, I cried knowing I would only be able to have it like that in Japan.

i guess the egg wasnt runny bc for some reason americans are always afraid of getting soalmonella of everything that is a bit raw xD

Fabienne you're right. If you didn't know, salmonella resides on the shell, so the runniness has nothing to do with it.

I tried to order soooo many times half cooked eggs in america and they would always say they only sell hard boiled ones bc of salmonella. Salmonella can get into the eggs if you boil them and get a crack through which the conterminated water could get into the egg. If you hard boil them the salmonella gets "cooked off"
I have never had issues getting runny eggs in European counzries except in spain

it depends on how long it was boiled. b/w 6-13 mins will get you a nice runny *soft* boiled egg. what mike got was a *hard* boiled egg

I think there are food safety regulations that require eggs to be cooked at a specific temperature in some states?

I went to the ICHIRAN in New York and the ramen was so delicious. Ofc I’ve never tried the one in Japan but the one in New York was the best ramen I’ve ever had 🤭

I'm from California, I went to Kyoto Japan last year and stayed for about 7 weeks and in that time period I had gone to ichiran 2-3 times a week seriously phenomenal food!!!! Now I'm back in the States trying to recreate or find some ramen like it, I'm almost depressed that I can't have that flavor again literally debating getting a plane ticket to either new York or Japan just to eat there again

I went to the Ichiran in Times Square after seeing Mike’s vids and wow it was amazing! Probably way closer to the Japanese version than this one.

I'm going to the spot in Japan...with the price of the ticket, hotel stay AND quality of the food there, Mike has convinced me I would get a more amazing food memory in Japan. It's all about the food memory, village.

For those of you wondering why this ramen is more expensive than the one in Japan. Is because that the ingredients are way harder to obtain here in NY. They usually get shipped from Japan...
