    Dear Käärijä,
You are indeed our real winner. Millions and millions of people have been rooting for you throughout your Eurovision journey, and we've been very vocal about it. Your charisma, fun and endearing nature, originality and showmanship have earned you a huge amount of support all over the world, and Finns are extremely proud of you, Finland has become Käärijäland 😂❤ Your success has been rightfully earned.
On the other hand, Sweden is always predictable and seems to have the unconditional support of the so-called professional juries, who mindlessly vote for this country year after year, even when they don't bring anything new to the table. Your win would've been fair and square, but with Sweden's, something smells fishy. First off, most of the attention they have received this year is due to the song's performer, Loreen, who had an overwhelming victory back in 2012 with a song which was miles better than this year's one. Why did she want to return to the contest then? And is it fair for a former winner of the contest, a world renowned one, to participate again? Plus, it seems some of the "professionals" had planned for next year's contest to be held in Sweden, given ABBA's 50th anniversary. All these reasons shouldn't determine a true winner, don't you think?
Anyway, we've loved having you at Eurovision and your massive success has made us ecstatic. Your First Semi-Final victory says it all. It is the people's voice that truly matters. It'd be great if Eurovision ever became a fair contest, in that case, you could make a comeback and your victory would be guaranteed. I hope to see you in many concerts.
Take care, Jere. It's crazy, it's party! CHA CHA CHA CHA CHA CHA CHA 💚🇫🇮🏆👑👏

Käärijä - what a legend! Truly the real winner💚 I don't know what's going on but I'm having this strange Käärijä-obsession since eurovision, can't seem to stop watching videos of this impossibly lovable person!! He's such an inspiration for us all to just embrace our weird selves and give less fricks about how other people perceive us. We shouldn't take ourselves or life too seriously, there's always gotta be space for some crazy party !🤣👌 a message I think we all need now more than ever. Käärijä, our new world-uniter!🌍✊❤ And the most adorable one too!! I've even started to learn finnish, it's like all the energy I get from hearing the song needs to go towards things that bring forth my own inner Käärijä😆😅💙🤍 SO much love from Sweden!!!

Same, I never was a Eurovision nerd until this year because of Käärijä. I'm melancholic that this Eurovision was just this year's one. I'll be more present on upcoming years to give all my support to the artists that connect with me no matter what the jurys say. The audience will give the artists what they deserve from this year on.

The crowd in the arena were very clear in their demands for Käärijä and Cha Cha Cha. Never seen anything like it at Eurovision before ! We were at a big screening party in Liverpool for the final and the entire room was very excitable when he came on - everyone* was on their feet and singing/yelling at the screen - only act to get such a unanimous reaction.
(*not me, cos I’m a wheelchair user and everyone standing up blocked my view of Käärijä so it was very frustrating and I had to ask someone nicely if they’d either dance in the aisle or sit down cos I was missing my favourite act, but being Eurovision, everyone was very friendly and sparkly and helpful).
Coming second is amazing. Getting over 500 points is incredible and usually only achieved by winners. Coming second and winning one of the votes is an incredible achievement and much much cheaper than winning. Finland have also had a win this century, which is more than the UK has managed. We were so proud of Sam Ryder last year: to come 2nd having won the jury vote and done well in the public vote was just amazing. I don’t think anyone was going to beat Ukraine in the popular vote last year. We were so proud of him that he played at every major musical event in the UK including the Queens jubilee party at the palace and the new King’s coronation concert.
I hope Finland is equally proud of Käärijä and his landslide win of the public vote and recognise that coming 2nd to Loreen, a much loved Queen of Eurovision, when next year is the 50th anniversary of ABBA’s win (which any host would be forced to acknowledge by the EBU) carries no shame. He’s proved that his song is popular throughout Europe so entries in Finnish clearly *do* work, he won the public vote and saved Finland a lot of money. A triumph. Bravo. Celebrate him as much as Sam was here.
Scousers (the people of Liverpool) are generally very welcoming and up for a party. I think Käärijä will definitely be considered an honorary Scouser and welcomed back any time.
I hope the Finnish contingent had a good time in Liverpool and were made welcome, well looked after and the city did a good job as substitute hosts.
    Kiitos Käärijä!!

Thank you for your wise and kind words! I must say, that despite the disappointment of jury acts, the UK did great work hosting this year's ESC. It was a pleasure to watch the cheerful and friendly atmosphere in Liverpool during the whole event. I've never seen such an interaction between artists; they supported and chant with each other, giving hugs and mutual laughs. But especially I want to thank you for your support of our Adorable Green Boi and his Dancers. 💚💚

    • @sarahrigby7580
      @sarahrigby7580 Před rokem +5

@@kirsh2036 I forgot to add: Käärijä is currently about 5th or 6th in our pop music chart here. It’s the first time *ever* that a song in Finnish has made our top 40 and it’s the first time since I think 1982 that 4 Eurovision songs have made our top 10.
Loreen is at #2 with Tattoo and Norway’s Queen of Kings is at 10, with Käärijä and Mae Muller in between, in that order. I think Mae is about 8th. So the entire country is having a Nordic moment and is loving Cha Cha Cha.
The bright green top and the dancers all in bright pink really popped and the staging was fantastic so the neon green did really help to sell it! Plus I want the earrings the presenter of the Finnish jury vote was wearing- so cool!

  • @slothslothslothslothslothsloth

The only good thing the juries did was make it so sweden had to host 2024's eurovision and spend lots of money instead of finland

It's disappointing Käärijä wasn't given first place, but first - he definitely deserves it and is HE everybody's winner, plus, hey - good for Finland, that Sweden has unfairly won and is going to spend so much money next year 😅
I want that everybody who comes to Sweden next year will use all the benifits and the goods they have to offer, so that Sweden spends maximum 😜

I’m really flash sensitive so I do completely get it - it could go in the description easily enough. I do, however, assume that anything Eurovision featuring performances will contain flashes and strobe effects.
It’s when it’s either really unnecessary, unexpected or out of context that I get really annoyed by it.
It’d be nice to have an obvious symbol flagging up strobe effects and flashing lights that could be put unobtrusively into titles etc that had to be used for all online video content. It’d be very helpful.
