@@pawake there is a lot of myths and oversimplifications in circulation. people also believe that you must not cross your feet when executing an armbar. this is valid advice in the sense that it reminds beginners about pinching their knees together. but there are plenty of situations when crossing your feet is perfectly fine and doesn't stand in the way of an armbar. it's like in football (soccer). when a kid joins an academy, they will be reminded they should hit the ball with the inner side of their foot (not the toes). but there is time and place for hitting with the tip of your foot too. there have been goals in World Championship matches scored that way. it's not an absolute truth, and deviating from this advice is not reserved only for the elite.

In that position you don't really have good leverage to finish. It could be painful, but a the submission is low percentage if they don't control the far leg.

Cedric is legit so as his delariva bjj lineage is...but rafa is rafa no matter who you put against him...if he toyed many many tough heavyweights blackbelts during sparrings what do you think he'd do against an average blackbelt? don't be fooled by this sparring...at least he had the humility to put it online and just for that y'all should show him more respect.
