    This reminds of that time when, as a level 12 human mage, I ran through Vanilla Wetlands to Menethil Harbor so I could hop on a ship and see Teldrassil. It was my first character, and I had never set foot on Kalimdor. I was dying to see the second world tree, especially after playing through Warcraft 3 years earlier.
    And die I did, over and over, to those omniscient crocolisks that could smell lowbie blood from 100 yards away.
    It was totally worth it!

    dustwallow had to be my favorite zone. the wet mud, clouded water, and thick fog made for a good eerie swamp atmosphere. and yeah, blizzard's music is fucking brilliant.

    4:45-6:12. Man, just hearing it for the first time while questing in Un'goro Crater was really chilling. That zone holds some special memories for me when I played it on my main.

    On an RP Private server I basically lived in Barrens and Dustwallow. I spent so long exploring those zones I can get to so many out of bounds locations on the pre Cata map

      Another fan activity blizzard ruined, by adding flying, removing unused bits of the map completely and slapping invisible walls everywhere. They are the ultimate fun police...
      They ruined the music too for most part in cata :/

    The only place using this song that I hated was Un'Goro Crater. The first time I seen the Ironhide Devilsaur, my heart skipped a beat.

    6:33 That's what I was really looking for: those chilling strings.

  • @tychusenfieldlarsson206

    When you try to find out who burned that inn. Spies get murdered and scattered across the map. So much mystery. Cold war between the orcs and humans, renegade Taurens and helpless Ogres, an abandoned hut in the swamp. Black Dragonflight, Onyxia. I always love to get my alts into the Duskwallow Marsh.

    Funny, when my tauren Druid was but a clafling, I had him run through the barrens from mulgore, to Durotar, jump on a zeplin to stranglethorne vale and swim the entire Coast line up to tirisfal glades, because I didn't read the map and see there was a pass enxt to the ruins of Lorederon.... ya that was a trek... all for de god daymn fishy form

    While you have a very good point there, it's not just the fact everything's dead that's the problem, it's also the profit seeking aspect which has taken control of the series that's had a significant impact too, The feel of the whole profit system has completely changed, before you really had to watch how you spent your gold, now your making shit tonnes in seconds, and of course as a result of that, everything now also costs shit tonnes.

    I know what you were talking about, my point is wrath wasn't all great anyway, and they could have safely have left it on the burning crusade

    True. The lich king should not have died and the burning legion invasion should not have been stopped. All problems fixed if they just didn't make three patches and built the story around those three patches. Sunwell, black temple, and fall of the lich king. Now outland and northernd make since in the game.

    There was some stuff i liked from WOTLK, I definitely liked being able to explore northrend after having played warcraft three, but there was way too much contrast between the zones, Jungle next to tundra really didn't go down too well... but still it was fun none the less, Deathknights were a nice concept it's just there are simply too many out there.

  • @darclordfilms1
    @darclordfilms1 Před 11 lety

    My feeling is WOW should have at least stopped at The Fall of The Lich King Patch. I wished they stopped before that because arthas, the old gods, and the Emerald Nightmare should have remained bad guys and we shouldn't have been able to kill them. and if we are able to kill off the Burning Legion WOW is screwed because there would be no real villain to go by unless they do that bring back a character that is already dead (Cata).

  • @darclordfilms1
    @darclordfilms1 Před 11 lety

    I still feel WOW should have ended before the Fall of the Lich King Patch. After the FOTLK or maybe even during. Since FOTLK wow has been filled with lore screwing stories that even mess up WOWs story not just the PC games, rushed patches and expansions, Big baddies being killed left and right, a huge lack of meaningful content, more focus on raids and dungeons then zones or quests, and lets not forget taking more content out then they are adding in.

  • @darclordfilms1
    @darclordfilms1 Před 11 lety

    ok I'm Basically saying wow was destroyed because they killed off so many major story elements. Old Gods no longer a threat, Twilight Hammer is gone, Blackrock clan is gone, No more Dragon Aspects, Thrall is no longer in the picture, the evil time dragons are killed, the emerald nightmare was basically defeated, arthas is dead, Ner Zul is imprisoned, the trolls are weakened to the extreme, the burning crusade is gone, the legions plans stopped, and the new war chief is going to be killed.

  • @congelatore

    Do you mean Patch 3.2? My opinion is that Patch 3.0 was the game-changer that ruined WoW. Everything prior to that patch (i.e., Vanilla and TBC) is worth triple or even quadruple the money.

  • @AustenKime
    @AustenKime Před 11 lety

    And as well the killing of Arthas utterly ruined the game for me.

  • @AustenKime
    @AustenKime Před 11 lety

    Such a shame Wow is now dead, buried, and being pissed and shat on by Panda Men, Really Stupid Goblins, Fucking wolf men, and OP'd death knights. I joined in after the release of The Burning Crusade, and just watched as something so amazing was steadily anally fucked by trench knives, Interestingly enough I'd never played Warcraft at all, and I went to that a short while in and saw how Blizzard had ruined another story-line..
