Emil's Chainer deck is everything I want my Chainer deck to be
Surprised to see isochron being taken out over Miraris wake. Both are scary but one is more of an immediate threat. Untapping with the wake lead to an explosive turn which helped the Ghave player pull far ahead.
Chained can be a super powerful recursion commander! I love the flavour of bringing creatures back as nightmares! 😄
I'm laughing at the fact that Muddstah's warning AT THE BEGINNING OF THE VIDEO that the game was recorded before the Paradox Engine ban made EVEN MORE PEOPLE comment about Paradox Engine being banned. :D

Man I absolutely love Chainer! Such a fun commander to play, and that was a great game to watch with tons of interaction. That being said...destroying Elesh Norn instead of the Dictate was a mistake. Especially since Skylar's commander has a built in sac outlet. There was no way anyone was going to have creatures for the rest of the game as long as Dictate stuck around. Heck, even Mirari's Wake was a better target then Norn. Had Cam dealt with the enchantment instead, they might have had a chance to stop Emil.
Best game I've seen on this channel. Plenty of removal, so many back and forths, hard to tell who would win.
Emil's opening hand basically just said "yeah have whatever you want"

A note that Skylar’s Erebos should’ve died to the mutilate. It was a creature when the card resolved and is treated as one sine the effect is simultaneous and symmetrical.
He sacrificed his creatures in response to the cast of mutilate. So he wouldn't have had 5 devotion on spell resolution, thus erebos wouldn't be a creature.
I'm very excited to see that Chainer list.

The gave deck could have saved his board in respince to his own triggers to make everyone lose their stuff again this when gray merchant trigger checks it sees zero devotion

Can someone explain why they resolve the Living Death for Aidan first who is the last person in the turn cycle. Is it always done like this? I thought the active player resolves stuff like this first, then going in the direction of priority or turn cycle.

I run a budget chainer deck pretty fun needs money cards for optimal play but it can win. Love me some chainer!

I was thinking of selling my meren and replacing her with another golgari Commander cause she is a bit too powerful in my more casual play. Seeing this...ghave is the real monster.

I gotta feel bad for Aidan , everyone else had atleast one or two moments when they controlled the board and Aidan didnt even get one

I think Cam's threat assessment was a little off... yeah, the Ghave + Dictate lock was troublesome, but the Chainer + Gray Merchant synergy was way more dangerous, and Emil was the one playing all the tutors. It was just a matter of time before he ran away with the game. Not to mention that Chainer is already a great threat to Meren by default, being able to steal Meren's targets at instant speed.
I know folks are hitting the Living Death play but that wasn’t even the most questionable one. In what universe is Desperate Ritual on Isochron a bigger threat than Mirrari’s Wake? That made no sense.

That Chainer deck was awesome! Chainer's one of my favourite mtg characters, and his card is super cool, this was a fun game. I wish we'd gotten to see the Nin deck go off, since she's a commander I've always been curious about, but that's how the game is sometimes
It's okay, Paradox Engine didn't need a ban anyway. Fight the power.
Not that it changes much, but that Itlimoc flip was wrong. Regna makes the tokens EOT and the check for Rites has already been done. Great game tho!
Since they both trigger at the beginning of your end step can’t you stack it so the tokens come in first and the Itlimoc check come second?
@@danriemer9724 Since you don't control four creatures the Itlimoc wont trigger. It simply checks the board state and only triggers if you have four creatures when the check is made.
Riku is correct. The "intervening if clause" rule says that triggers phrased like this check their condition both when they would trigger and when they resolve.

Aiden actually shouldn't of been able to sac the mind stone, Tezzeret puts it into play, blind obedience has it enter tapped, not that it mattered in the long run.
I got up to 14.22 saw paradox and then was like...nah 😂
