- In this video Ann provides 10 Tips on How to Throw Closed Form Pottery. There are also 3 projects Ann demonstrates that are great ways (Pottery Gift Ideas for the Holidays anyone?) to practice these skills. It has been scientifically proven that pottery is more fun when you throw closed forms...so let's go people!
If you would like to learn Ann's underglaze painting, glazing, and decorating process then check out Ann's Video Workshop Series. These workshops are very detailed (typically 1.5 - 2 hours in length) where Ann provides step by step instruction and are designed to help potters take their work to new levels of craftsmanship and artistry. vimeo.com/showcase/6725318

Hi Zoe. I do custom work for customers. Typically mugs painted with underglaze. Check out this video to see how I do it. czcams.com/video/_xFanSU_lVo/video.html
If you are interested in having me make a mug for you send me a note at anneruel7@gmail.com. Thanks!
Ann what do you do with all the things you make, have you an etsy shop, either that or lots and lots of shelves and cupboards
The closed form into lidded pot, I've done myself, but mine didn't fit as well, always willing to improve my techniques, the jug, with it's stopper looks good and the spout was perfect, roll on class in September

Amazing Anne!!! I have quarantine hair too..lol
Ha! One day...🤞
What clay are you using here? You make it look so easy, but I’m sure that’s from a great deal of practise. Your videos are most enjoyable to watch and learn from.
I use Standard English Porcelain #365. You are right, it does take practice but it’s rewarding when you get this technique down...it opens up a whole new world or creative opportunities. Keep working at it...Thanks for watching!
Hi new here, pressed red , very interesting video👍👍👍
Thanks so much for the kind words and for watching and subscribing!!! We really appreciate it. We really put a lot of work into all our videos and hope that they inspire someone out there :-)
I was wondering if you will make a video how to glaze and fire these close form pots with the lids. Because I don’t how I always glaze them separately and the warp. Could you give some tips how to do?
Yep, we’re figuring out how to do that....it’s a long production sequence from start to finish so hang in there! Thanks for watching!
At 4:08:That face and laughter! 😃 remarkable resemblance to Lukashenko 😂 Was that intentional?
Now THAT's funny! It's actually a reference to The Egg Head from the 1960's Batman TV Series. Played by Vincent Price who had that "Priceless" laugh. My video editor has a warped sense of humor and consistently drops these weird clips in my videos. He thought the form I was throwing looked like the Egg Head Character. I know...we all have our cross to bear.
@@LittleStreetPottery hahaha, LOVE the humor in your videos! A tip for the hat to your video editor. More power to him. He's a keeper! 😃
Quarantine hair 😂
when did they start calling this "choking"? I was taught it is called 'collaring". "Choking" creeps me out...
