    Here’s a thought - what if the reason BotW Zelda had such a hard time unleashing her power was because BotW is at/towards the end of the timeline? It could be that she’s so far removed from the original Zelda that the power is just... weaker. And in contrast, Ganon’s power has only gotten stronger, angrier, more crafty.

    • @nandoman4769
      @nandoman4769 Před rokem +34

      Eh I disagree with this. When she finally unlocks her power in botw she seems stronger then she ever has in the series. She was able to instantly wipe out guardians and she held back a super boosted Ganon all alone for 100 years. No other Zelda has done anything close to that in the whole series.

    Would you consider covering the topic of how long the cycle of Calamity Ganon has been going on? I find it fascinating with having seen Ganondorf's corpse appearing to be the source of Malice. That scene of Impa explaining the events from 10,000 years ago strongly suggests that Calamity has appeared more than the two times we've seen.

      @@Zerolink30 Do you know where in the game, or what scene rather, they state that 10,000 years ago was the first time Calamity Ganon appeared?
      I posed the question to Zeltik because from what I can tell, 10,000 years ago was NOT the first time he appeared. I'm reading heavily into Impa's story of those events. She says the people of that time were technologically advanced, and that they decided to use their wisdom to build the Divine Beast/Guardians should Calamity ever *return*
      The way Impa words it leads me to believe Calamity Ganon has appeared time and time again. After all, "The history of Hyrule is also the history of Calamity Ganon"

    • @AfterTheCalm
      @AfterTheCalm Před 4 lety +1

      Additional comment:
      After replying to @@Zerolink30, I watched the cutscene where Impa explains the events from 10,000 years ago.
      "The history of the Royal Family is also the history of Calamity Ganon"
      This part is just my own speculation, but having re-read that, I feel like the Royal Family played a role in sealing Ganondorf's corpse. I also side with those who believe his corpse is sealed under Hyrule Castle, mainly because Calamity appears from below the castle and it appears the corpse is leaking a ton of Malice.
      I wouldn't be surprised if someone thought the solution to stopping Ganondorf was to preserve his body, but it backfired cause Calamity then became a thing. (In line with previous theories Zeltik and others have thrown out about trying to prevent another male Gerudo from being born into the kingdom)
      Again, this comment is loaded with my own speculation. I still firmly believe we have proof that 10,000 years ago was not the first time Calamity appeared.

      @@ThatAnArchyDude ok but what you aren't thinking is that Calamity is nothing but a mere puppet, a phantom of Ganondorf, (mind you not being in control of said "puppet") so what was sealed wouldn't really affect the next "resurrection". Now your answer could of been relevant if not for the fact we learned Ganondorf is alive, sealed but alive, under Hyrule castle spewing out enough Malice to create his puppet/phantom. B4 that it was believed that Ganon had given up on resurrecting and was appearing in a spirit like form fueled by rage, if that had stayed the case then your point would have made perfect sense.

      10,000 would cause quite a shift, in reality, but this is a video game we're talking about.

    • @Llortnerof
      @Llortnerof Před 4 lety +1

      @@ThatAnArchyDude You can't pinpoint it because the source doesn't have a definite height. Each titan has their "gun" at a different point and height. Naboris' is much higher up than Rudania's. Medoh can fly on top of that. Pinpointing would at the very least require knowing which one did the shot, and that still might only be good enough to cut it down to a few likely spots. At least we can probably rule out that the shot went the other direction, there doesn't seem to be much reason they'd fire from Hebra into Hyrule Field.
      And since the terrain has often changed majorly even between games much closer together than 10,000 years...
      (Why did they go so overboard anyway? Even 1,000 would have been plenty. 10,000 would work better if the original usage was against Demise pre-Skyward Sword. At this point the world basically worked itself up from Bronze Age at least thrice by BotW.)
