My Aunt Sallie (Parrish) died over 10 years ago. I'll have my aunt (who was a member of the choir) here for my mom's 80th birthday. This will SUCH a great and beautiful present for the both of them.

Oh my, I met Sallie and she was at Mac Brown's funeral..sorry to hear of her passing. I was there for each nite performance. God bless her spirit where she is in the presence of God. She was fantastic with the choir.

Charles, I still have this concert on VHS and play each year for new family that sadly never saw this. It's still the BEST Gospel Christmas Concert. I'd wish PBS would have sold this on DVD for the next generation.
Hi Charles! I too have to pull it up and watch it but I do have a copy I recorded from television...oh how I miss Mac. I heard of the passing of Mark, they spoke of him at Cascade UMC. After all Baby sister been through she still feels everything she sings. A little bit more of Amen song and everybody would've been caught up!..Emotional and still had a great voice🎼I ❤️their contributions to music industry. Too bad Rock n Roll Hall of Fame hasn't inducted them! Smh

The Pointer Sister have always been fabulous. I remember watching this on MPT when I was teenager. It came to my mind yesterday how fantastic this musical Christmas celebration was. So today I figured I may find it on CZcams and. I found it. ❤❤❤

I pull this wonderful concert out every Chrsitmas season. My late mother and I watched it every year since itsoriginal airing over PBS. I taped it on my VCR and I still have the video tape. It was a joy and a wonderful surprise to see the concert on CZcams. Thank you

Thank you so much for posting! The 90's was one of my FAVORITE eras of Gospel music 🙌🏾! Jesus Is Real was the JAM 🎶🎶, The Pointer Sisters understand the assignment on Silent Night *I ALWAYS say Ruth Pointer takes me to CHURCH in ALL of their secular performances anyhow 💁🏾♀️*, and the choir & arrangements were all that! That soloist on O Come Let Us Adore Him SNATCHED WIGS! The orchestra was amazing as well!!! The crowd also had an awesome energy 💃🏿. As you can tell, I thoroughly enjoyed this!❤

Sadly on 12/31/2022 we said farewell to Anita Pointer. This hurts because Anita and I share January 23 as our birthdate. Our Condolences to Aaron, Fritz and Ruth Pointer
