I spent a couple of weeks in Vietnam (went to many parts) and tended to eat on quiet streets by exploring - I would not do that in most countries, but I felt super safe - locals were very friendly or definitely non-threatening. Also found a restaurant with beer for less than 10 cents (from a keg) - had quite a few that night and the owner was a nice lady who came and sat with us and chatted and was really fun - the total bill was super cheap. Stunning country, lovely people and it is one of the only places where I found you didn't get people coming up to you all the time asking you to buy things or for money. Only negative was that traffic can be crazy in some parts, but it is part of the fun!

Viet coffee easy to make at home. Brew strong coffee and add condensed milk that’s it.
@@ieatass4226 depends on the coffee, you cannot brew it strong with Folgers for example... no matter the amount of powder you add to the filter, it stills not strong enough

I was there in 2010. It`s unbelievable how much it`s changed in just Ten years. The Crazy Buffalo and the Go2 bar were the only fairly big bars with neon lighted signs outside. Other than those, there was just small bars and restaurants down Bui Vien and De Tham Streets. It was nothing like this !!
This street has been in operation since 2017. Actually, there are many places to hang out and eat in other streets. Welcome to Vietnam 🇻🇳

2 weeks ago at Hem 28, there was an ex-pat with coronavirus - this alley has been under quarantine since & the whole of Bui Vien street has been empty since!
All of the bars, nightclubs, spas & massage places in Saigon are closed - some hotels & many restaurants catering to foreigners closed in district 1 & district 2!
Last night, the Vietnamese government has even closed down nail salons!
Anyone who came into Saigon after March 1, are not allowed to check into hotels, not allowed to move into apartments & will be tested by the government.
I went to Vietnam to find a wife. What a beautiful country, I've been there twice now and married an incredible Vietnamese woman.

I wanted experience the nightlife in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) when I visited earlier this year for Tết, but my younger cousins kept insisting that I stay home and spend with them 😅 I can't wait until they're old enough to go out drinking with me because they'll know all the nice places over there
