I took notes while you lectured. I think I’m a good ISTP. But I still want to improve. I hunger for your ISTP lectures, thank you for this. And I HATE it when you say we all cheat. I wish you would also say that mature ISTPs don’t cheat or have strong capability to not cheat… or something like that. I worked really hard on myself and I want public recognition that I’m (and other healthy, mature ISTPs) not like that. Pretty please, maybe next time. 🙂

By pure logic if someone is by default the most likely to cheat ,by virtue of free will means that they have the potential to be the one that cheat the least.

    • @imaginarypath7867
      @imaginarypath7867 Před 2 lety +3

We have the (highest) potential to cheat but every istp is a cheater. It’s almost like saying every politician is corrupt in a sense, but I reacted with the same line of thinking you had as well so I see where you’re coming from.

🤣🤣. Yeah I have cheated but when I fell for a woman, I changed and didnt cheat on her. Later on I found out she was telling a bunch of guys she was single, meeting up with them etc etc. So I call up a girl I knew was interested in me but didnt do anything physical. It was just nice knowing someone was there that wanted me. But yeah before her, I cheated. Lol. Tried to work things out with her 9 years later. She called it all off, so I start talking to other girls just trying to feel better. 🤣

As an ISTP-a I recommend to get a dog. This has helped me with meeting people and to get rid of excess energy.

I think Ian Tyson said it best when he sang " I was a damned poor excuse for a man, I didnt know how to aim when the spirit was tamed and I couldnt see all the cards in my hand..."
I related to everything you said in this short video. I never did a mind map, but I've always kept this little notepad of ideas that I always circled back to when my mind wasn't so turbulent. It helped me overcome stagnancy, boredom, and depression because i wasn't listening to my Se parent. Journaling helps you get out of your mind and put ideas into action (if used correctly).

I really like the blunt and honest way you communicate about all the type. I know that you're burning away all the lies and I'm not offended :) Maintaining good habits is like sharpening your Axe or Sword.
I was teaching a new young woman at work and I enjoyed teaching her and seeing her skills grow.
God bless from an Aussie ISTP, cp.6w5, LSI. 👍😎

This hits too close to home. Back when I was in high school, I learned to use mind maps to remember opponents offenses when I played football. And it worked so well, it sparked on obsession with information organization in all areas of my life. Eventually it became rare for me to not take notes. It's gotten to a crazy point where I have over 1,000 notes on my phone full of scrollable thought poop that I'm currently organizing. But creating personal rolodexes that make it easy to go through said information, has made my head resemble more like a well cut lawn. Rather than being a spinning tornado of nonsense and irresponsibility.

I feel like after a while of repeatedly exhibiting healthy behaviour, Si critic eventually forgets any other way of living - it forgets how to be unhealthy, in a sense. Habit probably is the best way for an ISTP, so I am glad to hear you endorse it, Chase.
Also, do you tell ENFJ’s to write down all of their failures? I have to Si critic my ENFJ mother constantly. She goes Te demon mode when I do but fuck it.
Also, I wonder if Fi demon needs to remember successes more, whereas Ti demon needs to reminded of their failures, more?

Chase I'm very thankful for this video. I actually attended Jordan Peterson's lecture in Austin recently and asked him the same question, but about low conscientiousness people. His answer was very similar (he plugged his self authoring program of course), but basically he said write down what you want to accomplish to the level of detail that makes it very practical to follow. Then, follow it. Think about what happens if your habits don't improve; your life becomes Hell (hence, religion). Two things he also mentioned that ISTP's might find to be helpful is to surround yourself with organized, industrious people, and to give yourself as much responsibility as you reasonably can, especially if you are young. Anyway, loved the video, thanks!

Aahhhhh thank you Chase, I really needed to hear this right now. I’ve been using Scrivener for my journal and Notion for work-based note taking needs, but rarely go back and look which I sorely need to do. Anyway thanks again and for the person who asked this question!

I understand now that the purpose of Ne is to test possibility, often extending outside the reality. For so long I’ve been frustrated with that function, especially in its early stages. Given time though, you inevitably loop back to the core truths.
Despite the often disrespect or even willfull ignorance of more grounded/provable points of view. The truth is, an ENTP is one of the only types crazy enough to step out and reach (if only you knew how ridiculous it looks to the rest of us…). For a long time I’ve pulled away from your channel because I see you descending into a dark hole. While I don’t plan on participating longer I hope that you once again loop back to the core truths like so much of your earlier content. Content like this

Actually, as a Crusader Type you'd be interested to know that Religion falls under the virtue of Justice and it is as Jesus said, rendering unto God what belongs to God. In ancient Jewish culture a holy religious man is called a Tzadik, "a just man" like Noah and St. Joseph.
