I had the pleasure of seeing them in concert back in 1985 in Biloci, MS. They had a choir come out to help with the refrain at the end of the song. Absolute perfection.

Lou Gramm was the lead singer when this song came out. Kelly Hansen is the new lead singer. This group also has many great songs. Another group that doesn't get enough credit is Boston

Lou Gramm was an amazing singer and he went through hell. He had headaches and double vision and was told he had a brain tumour and that he had very little time and to go home and get his business in order. He saw a program on a doctor who had a new surgical approach to the brain tumour he had and he was fortunate enough to get an appointment to see him within 3 days and Lou had immediate surgery and he is alive to this day. Loved Foreigner from day one until today.

This was their best known song and was used in several movies, but I remember it best from an episode of the original 'Miami Vice' series.
I saw Foreigner in concert a number of years ago. They had a local high school chorus sing backup. It must have been an honor for the school - Manzano High School, Albuquerque, New Mexico!

I love Foreigner! I saw them live in CA and had a back stage pass. I drove across country from Long Island to California with a friend when I was 21. I had 3 days notice. I quit my jobs, sold my car and left, in a VW van. I was going for 2 weeks and stayed for a year.
They have so MANY good songs, and Lou Gramm has a stellar voice. Try 'Jukebox Hero'.
Every city they do a concert they chose a local high school choir to do that song with them, it is amazing and
such a treat for the kids

Today, Foreigner's only original member is Mick Jones... he has Foreigner touring w/ singer Kelly Hansen (ex- Hurricane) and bassist Jeff Pilson (ex- Dokken)

I was hoping he was going to get that high note near the end, like in the studio. In a live performance, a lead singer has a limit of how long and how high they can sing before they have to quit.
Yes not everyone can be Steve Perry live. I wish first time reactors would listen to the studio versions first. After that they can appreciate the live versions. Live versions are for fans, studio versions for first timers. Lou Gramm did fine here but it doesn't compare to the mastery of the original!!
