A few years ago in high school i got a chest cold and got really sick and it started messing with my asthma but i wasn't worried because it had never gotten bad before. But my rescue inhaler wasn't working. So i moved to my nebulizer and that didn't work either after multiple doses. Eventually I just couldn't eat or sleep and was stuck just only able to struggle breathing for days and it got bad enough i collapsed after about 4 days n went to the hospital n kept passing out on the way there. They had me in the ER for about a day because the Albuterol they tried me on wasn't working. They moved me to the ICU for about 5 days where they had me on magnesium sulfate i believe mixed with some Albuterol because no matter what they did they couldn't get my lungs to open up. It worked after a while and they moved me down to oxygen and then i was free. I never wana feel that again. its scary not being able to breathe and needing a machine to do it for you

my personal experience with magnesium sulfate is promising . In Iran we use ventolin nebulizer or ventolin plus atrovent but in severe cases magnesium helps one should always keep in mind possibility of pneumothorax . I have used less than 30 mg / kg magnesium iv which you recommended higher doses 40 at least . thanks for your succinct and fluent lecture 💐💐

I was a bit surprised that one question not asked was whether anyone in the household, including the patient, smoked or vaped. While it is illegal for anyone less than 21 years of age to do so in the United States, I have surprisingly come across many kids experiencing asthma attacks who vaped or smoked.

Sometimes my lungs are too sensitive that just a simple sneeze already can trigger an attack in me.
So as much as I can possibly endure, I often really try to prevent myself from sneezing episodes.

I’m not a licensed doctor qualified enough to give any medical advice. But what I can tell you is only based on my self experience in my case. In certain situations where sneezing bouts just comes inevitably where I can’t prevent it and I feel my chest wheezing or somewhat tightening, I take anti allergy medication like CETIRIZINE tablets once daily. Then I drink one cup of hot black coffee to relieve my breathing. But do not as much as possible chase the pill with the coffee. Swallow it with a full glass of water instead. Then you can drink coffee after around 5 to 10 minutes. In my case, I can find some relief in this remedy.

The muscles around the airways contract and the airways produce extra mucus, causing the breathing (bronchial) tubes to narrow. During an attack, you may cough, wheeze and have trouble breathing.👍
