I do remember what it was like before starting my private practice.. all of the things you touched upon in this video. This is a bit cliche, but the reason I have a private practice today is from discovering your youtube videos. I'll never forget the day I first came upon your videos, I was waiting to start a family therapy session. I was an intern and had to travel in my very old car with no A/c to homes in a large county., in summer to provide a very necessary service to at-risk youth and their families. I was sitting in my car in a park during my "lunch break". I was (temperature) hot and tired.
I honestly don't know how I came upon that first video from PPS. But a seed was planted and the more I watched, the more I realized how obtainable the goal is! It is completely possible. Thank you Dr Marie

My "mental road block" has been starting my PP after taking a very long career break to raise my children, which I don't regret at all, but it's definitely left me feeling like "Am I still qualified?". I'm pushing through those insecurities anyway and feel good about it most days. I definitely still deal with imposter syndrome at times too though. It's been validating for me though as I attend trainings, talk with other therapists, and (yes!) listen to your videos to feel like "no, I still know this stuff. I just need to start using it again daily". Dr. Marie, you have definitely been a HUGE part of me feeling confident enough to do this, so thank you!
