None of us that have replicas have EVER even remotely tried to pass them off as art. We acknowledge they are replicas and some of us ALOT of us actually have BOTH. I have replicas yes. Why? Because I have severe C-PTSD with conversion which disabled my knees and hips and require crutches for walking when it hits. I use the babies to keep me calm and some days I cry a lot I'm not ashamed of that but I don't want to ruin my beautiful expensive art on those days and prefer a replica since they don't cost thousands of dollars. I understand completely where the artist are coming from I do, but I also stand by my decision. Also just because I have both doesn't mean I would bring a replica to an authentic doll show because yes that would be wrong but as having both I would still like the opportunity to see an authentic doll show because I still purchase those as well. I think there's too much blame from both sides of the issue and not near enough understanding. Block me whatever It don't bother me but I stand by my decisions

The simple fact is that the artists pay the correct fees and do the correct paperwork in China China will not be doing the replicas. I heard an artist say rather a sculptor say that if they paid the fees for every dollar that they made and did the paperwork it would cost them too much money. There are any number of places where these dolls could be recreated where they wouldn't be copied as they are in China but the artists are choosing not to have them done there for the very reason that you mentioned cheap labor
My first reborn doll was in 2003 from Pumpkin patch babies by Johanna her Myles I paid 250 I believe, and back then we all were reborning before even having a rooting tool 😂 let me tell you there wasn't any insanity going on !!!! Nobody cared where the kit came from lmao everyone was having a good time! Now 5 years ago I reborned maybe 😊💯 dolls and I stopped...you know why ?! Ok, by that logic, if someone breaks into your home and steals your stuff, you should be flattered that they want your stuff. Give me a break. It’s stealing. Why are we condoning stealing? I’ll be completely honest. I’m new to reborns and only found out about how manufactured dolls are made after I got one off Amazon. Since I couldn’t afford a proper thousands dollar doll. I will still keep her because I still love her. BUT my second doll I purchased recently I got from an artist on Etsy. He was about £100 and not good quality but at least he isn’t stolen. I’m disabled and on benefits so I would NEVER be able to afford a really nice real reborn but it’s a massive dream I have. It’ll never come true so I just watch big reborn accounts to try and live my dream through videos

Saying she was throwing this and that in the trash. I guess only baby salon clothes good enough for her dolls. I unfollowed her and blocked her on all platforms. Every one that follows her are lemmings. It was already bad in this community and she just stirred it up more. But she states she only buys authentic well what is Walter?
This DOTWE show is the only one that actually banned PEOPLE not just dolls. Yes, I agree that no one should bring a counterfeit doll to the show but to ban PEOPLE is wrong. If they bring a counterfeit doll then ban the doll but not the PERSON. Love the "sinner" but not the "sin", isn't that what you Christians are always saying? If the "sin" is the counterfeit doll and the "sinner" is the person supporting them, then go ahead, ban the doll but not the PERSON. Also, I really wish religion wasn't mentioned in doll videos. I don’t agree with artists sculpts being stolen it must be heartbreaking to have your work stolen 😢 but my question is how are china getting hold of the sculpts in the first place Are these artists sending their sculpts to china to be made? I live in the uk 🇬🇧 and we have a doll shop called Mary Shortle and they get their sculpts from Germany but as far as I’m aware they are not stolen sculpts Why are only some sculpts copied? It must mean that some of the artists are protecting their work and a lot are not it is a shame this division has happened 😢 I don’t know what we can do about it it’s a sad situation all round really isn’t it? China is not obligated to obey international treaties or agreements related to trademarks what sculptors need to do to protect their work in China is to pay the proper fees that the Chinese government calls for and fill out the proper paperwork for each sculpt. Sculptors have went on record as saying it would be very expensive for them to do that. While I understand that and I only purchase paint and sell authentic I also feel the problem can be eliminated if they just pay the fees. Also here's another idea stop outsourcing the making of the molds to china. There are any number of developed countries that can actually make molds for the dolls that they sculpt. The bottom line is they want to pay less to get them made so they run the risk of theft is they don't fill out the proper paper work and pay the fees to China.
The problem with counterfeits is not only China unfortunately. Spain and Brazil have their own factories that manufacture a lot of counterfeit kits as well. At this point it doesn’t even matter where original kits are being manufactured. Counterfeiters will steal kits created in Germany and Spain as well. It’s just so horrible 😔.

All I am gonna say is you don’t want to spend the money, buy a blank kit for 120.00 paint it yourself. That is how I got into painting. A bountiful baby kit on sale for 29.00. So please no excuses for buying fake dolls. And he looks adorable in that outfit
My budget can not afford so mucth money for a reborn kit .And than i talk only the kit and what comes on with it . So for me they are good and they hold the paint wel Every one there own choice if i had that money but i have not

I have an artistic family, my grandpa drew homes for people and my mom created clay figures of unicorns, wizards, etc. She went to many Art shows where everything was hand created. Department stores started selling cheap merchandise, all mass produced and it caused artists to quit creating their beautiful oil paintings, crocheted projects, flower arrangements and woodworking projects. This will happen soon to our sculptors with these companies taking over. 😢 There are payment plans that artists provide to allow someone to own a beautiful doll. I agree 100% with what you are saying. 💐

That's the problem, we think we can seperate that from eachother, but we cannot. God sees our heart, our motivations, and we all have to give accountability for our choices. If you buy a knockoff you paid to thieves and are supporting the stealing of an individuals artwork. Counterfeit dolls should not exist. I will bring God into it because my Bible teaches that stealing is wrong so that must mean supporting theft is wrong as well. I'm not perfect and don't claim to be but I'm allowed free speech and to stand up for what I believe in and what is right. Just because we disagree doesn't mean I'm "bullying" or "hate someone" If your budget doesn't accommodate a Reborn there are Authentic affordable options like Ashton Drake Galleries and Paradise Galleries those two companies actually pay the sculptors and have the right to produce the dolls. 🌺 You can also type your budget into reborns.com and find authentic reborns in your price range. Sculptors work hard on their art some kits take them years to sculpt and they deserve to get paid for their time.
Hi dear this boy is nicely painted!! I gave his sister but painted by kimberly ! Yee I m always worried about how cold she feels I ll be scared about the silicone! Yee 😢 lately I found out that macphersons make the reborn dolls at China!! It's written on their website on pickle by Nikki Johston saying that they are waiting for new sculpt coming from China by March !!! That worried me soo much !! As we pay soo much to but a kit and they get it soo much cheap !! That's why they have damages at times and these macphersons art and craft never answers e mails complains 😢 I gave bad experience with them when I bought kodi bear kit and Rosalee kit both had damages 😢 they costed hundreds of euros to buy them plus shipping plus custums taxes 😢.China is taking over trusted expensive companies !!!😢
i agree with you 100% . i have to say i was really surprised that inlovewithreborns2011 is in that whole united sisters or whatever it is called. i hate when they say its a copy or a replica and there not the artist did not give them permission to do it..i reborn vinyl dolls i have done about 200 over 10 years and have painted a few silicones and i have tried to sculpt before but i just can't get the sculpting down at all its hard and for someone to steal them is so wrong then come on and brag that they paint them. not everyone was intended to have an expensive silicone and if you cna't afford a real one then you don't get one

Until I can afford a authentic Bonnie Brown myself I will continue to admire my friends and others who have beautiful authentic ones. My heart goes out to Bonnie Brown and other sculptors like her. If you buy a knockoff you paid to thieves and are supporting the stealing of an individuals artwork. Counterfeit dolls should not exist. I will bring God into it because my Bible teaches that stealing is wrong so that must mean supporting theft is wrong as well. I'm not perfect and don't claim to be but I'm allowed free speech and to stand up for what I believe in and what is right. Just because we disagree doesn't mean I'm "bullying" or "hate someone"
If your budget doesn't accommodate a Reborn there are Authentic affordable options like Ashton Drake Galleries and Paradise Galleries those two companies actually pay the sculptors and have the right to produce the dolls. 🌺 You can also type your budget into reborns.com and find authentic reborns in your price range. Sculptors work hard on their art some kits take them years to sculpt and they deserve to get paid for their time.

Hi dear this boy is nicely painted!! I gave his sister but painted by kimberly ! Yee I m always worried about how cold she feels I ll be scared about the silicone! Yee 😢 lately I found out that macphersons make the reborn dolls at China!! It's written on their website on pickle by Nikki Johston saying that they are waiting for new sculpt coming from China by March !!! That worried me soo much !! As we pay soo much to but a kit and they get it soo much cheap !! That's why they have damages at times and these macphersons art and craft never answers e mails complains 😢 I gave bad experience with them when I bought kodi bear kit and Rosalee kit both had damages 😢 they costed hundreds of euros to buy them plus shipping plus custums taxes 😢.China is taking over trusted expensive companies !!!😢

i agree with you 100% . i have to say i was really surprised that inlovewithreborns2011 is in that whole united sisters or whatever it is called. i hate when they say its a copy or a replica and there not the artist did not give them permission to do it..i reborn vinyl dolls i have done about 200 over 10 years and have painted a few silicones and i have tried to sculpt before but i just can't get the sculpting down at all its hard and for someone to steal them is so wrong then come on and brag that they paint them. not everyone was intended to have an expensive silicone and if you cna't afford a real one then you don't get one
