- I just received the Sideshow Life Size Bust of the Star Wars Stormtrooper. I have to say I am completely disappointed in it. Of all the Star Wars busts, the Stormtrooper Life Size Bust is the worst. I would recommend passing on this one or waiting for a good deal. Find out more about why I hate it in the video.

Call it like you see it. Bravo. Eyes are WAY off, as is a lot of the overall helmet shape. Keepin' it real, where others 'pretend' to. 👍🏼
Look into RS Propmasters bust if you want the real deal, but if you like a hasbro toy you wont like that either though, the props were rough back in 1977, thanks for sharing!
Thanks Johan. Yep I have seen the RS props in person and I do like it. The difference for me there is that I know what I am getting and its movie accurate.
I cant believe how much better the Hasbro helmet looks on that bust. Its a shame the white isnt the same. This is a fail on Sideshows part, the helmet it comes with look like a Rubies costume.

The orginal ones where all painted on the Hasbro is a rogue one . But yes I agree alot of money for it
The efx PCR helmets are essentially higher priced toys. They are more similar to the Black Series helmets than high end replicas of the actual props.
Glad I watched this video. I was really close to pulling the trigger on this bust. I'll just get the Hasbro helmet, looks much better I agree.

Yeah, but the sticker and paint is accurate, the Hasbro is not accurate at all. If I'm paying $1000, I want accuracy, not a toy like the Black Series helmets. The stormtrooper does seem like a simpler bust to create, and shouldn't be priced as high as the Vader and Fett though.
That seems strange. It’s almost like they wanted to keep some things accurate to the OT but not everything. If they were going for appearing like screen used they should have gone all the way, with proper asymmetry, screws, etc. or they should have gone with a Rogue One stylized look.
For this price, yea I would have preferred the Rogue One

For stormtroopers, I’d 100% recommend getting an RS Prop Masters bust. It is completely accurate to ANH-unlike this one. With that said, the details WILL be painted on by hand because that’s how it was done in the original movie. As other have said, the BS bucket is based on Rogue One and not ANH so you won’t get those details either. With RS, you get a bust that is “warts and all”-as close as you can get to the props used on screen. Once you start appreciating the subtle handmade details of a prop with legit lineage to the movies, it’s pretty hard to go back. I’m sitting at 4 RS busts now and they are all gems in my collection.
I've seen the RS Props in person and I do like them a lot, but then I know what I am buying there. I can appreciate the lineage and what they are trying to recreate. Its also less expensive than this. With Sideshow, especially after seeing the Vader and the Boba Fett busts, I was expecting an Idealized version of the helmet. Especially for the price point. I think the next go around is a full size suit. I may pass on getting a TK Bust.
The sculpt is accurate to the film. In the original trilogy this is completely accurate. The Hasbro helmet is based on the armour created for Rogue One. That was designed to be absolutely machine tooled perfection. The Stormtrooper bust is always going to look very ‘ahem’ bland next to the Vader and Boba Fett.
He knows that and says it in the video if you watched the entire thing before commenting

I also have the older boba fett ESB from sideshow and the Vader reveal version that’s still in box boba is next to my tv
The Vader and the Fett are fantastic. I love both busts a lot. But the TK just lacks in my opinion. Especially for the price. I think if I paid less, I would not expect as much.

Damn Sorry Jorge, yeah i have to agree.. something for that much money, should not have stickers on it. Should be sculpted in etc.. Should be built to last. Yeah accuracy blah blah.. but the stickers make it look like you say, like a toy.

I just got mine as well. It is crap, the bust is crooked on the base. Is yours crooked as well? Sideshow tells me they are all crooked and can't replace it with a better item.

This review doesn't make sense. The complaint is that the details look painted and not sculpted in then later saying that the details were originally painted in the '70s. Accurate to the film. I don't get it. Also, the helmet is supposed to be a "creamy" white.

The Stormie bust always looked bad. I've built 2 storm trooper busts through RS Prop masters. Those are direct lineage casts. I've got videos of them on my channel.

Totally meaningless what colour the helmet has...one myvasume thats different companiesvinnthe Empire are making helmets so there use different colours.look at modern Military Gear Here helmets have lost of different colours AS Well
