- A Q&A session with director David Cronenberg after a screening of his 1986 film The Fly.
We apologize for the poor sound quality in the beginning of the Q&A session. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
This is the man make no mistake about it... Nothing has ever terrified me like this man's work
Same vibe
The Fly '86 is the greatest film ever made
Did he say "Fahrenheit 451" was written by Asimov? Is no. That's Ray Bradbury.
he looks much younger then 70.
This is by far David Cronenberg's BEST film, having seen most of his other offerings.
I would imagine it was the most expensive he had made, and it shows, I believe he was one of those "independent" Directors before getting this studio film (probably the best of Hollywood studios - 20th century fox, that gave us - STAR WARS, ALIEN, PLANET OF APES , etc all classic science fiction). I don't align ALEN with SHIVERS the parallels are too vague, I sense some envy there. I wonder if Cronenberg and Paul Verhoeven have ever met, they have much in common- never afraid to shock, ground breaking & original plus they both make "Art house" films very cereal it's ironic to hear Cronenberg was going to direct TOTAL RECALL, as well.
RIP my speakers after that horrible jump to blaringly loud microphone
Cronenberg vs Lynch = Concrete Scientific Literary approach vs Dream like Surreal Image driven approach
@Sydney Barrett true, just different portals
I deleted my account 🙃... But I often think about your comment!
The war of the Davids
so what do they have in common and why does everybody feel the need to compare them?!
Freaked out. That weird bird-person. Freaked out.
Somebody sent a human and a puffin through Brundle's teleporter.
the monkey-cat scene: czcams.com/video/bBEWiYnCOCg/video.html
More interesting is the parallel to superhero comics with the spiderman pose he does afterwards, then falls
Fuck me, you sure the sound is loud enough, cos I still have the hearing in one ear...
So, Cronenberg directed "Alien".
he wishes.
OMG! This is the same person that compared the work for HowToBasic!

RIIIIIIIIIcolaaaaaaaaaaa
The first min of this video is WAY too loud.
The director is kind of the father of his characters and the tutor of his actors.
The Fly is one of my favorite movies but this is the dullest and most pointless conversation imaginable.
Lol he seems a bit into himself in this interview. "I invented stem-cell research, I came up with the internet, I wrote Alien" ...okayyy Dave, calm down.
i think he's saying it in jest, to be honest
mikkelfraskui maybe, but hard to deny he seems to have a bit of an inflated sense of himself
@@kevins4222 Agreed. I suppose you could argue the job almost necessitates a sort of inflappable self-confidence, though. Besides, if anyone's earned it, he's far up on the list.
directors who are obsessive about something end up making horrible movies that are also considered genius by many.
wtf are you talking about?
monomania is a legit illness, ahab suffered from it in moby dick, many many people suffer from it. people who troll youtube vids with the express intent of ridiculing the person on the vids, suffer from it.
