    Just wanted to thank you for all that you provide! I actually found your website first, glad i got your channel now. Had i not discovered your practice exams, i know for sure i would have failed my core 1 exam but, i just passed today on the 1st try! If anyone thinks they're going to just rely on cert master lessons and free Professor Messer videos, which by the way are great too, there crazy! Your technique and practice exams mimic the real exam very closely. I just may have to upgrade to a paid membership for my core 2 exam prep if the free stuff is that good! Cheers!

      Thank you so much for the kind words and congratulations on passing your Core 1 exam! We're thrilled to hear that you found our practice exams helpful in your preparation. Getting real-world feedback like this motivates us to continue improving our study materials.
      We completely agree - relying solely on videos and basic prep materials is often not enough for the actual exam. Our goal is to provide challenging questions and simulations that closely mirror what you'll see on the real test. It takes a lot of work to develop quality content, so we're grateful you noticed the effort.
      For Core 2, we'd highly recommend the paid membership that will be coming soon to get access to the full bank of 600+ questions and additional practice exams. We're confident it will give you the comprehensive preparation you need to pass on your first attempt. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any suggestions to enhance the material even further. Your success is our top priority!
      Best of luck with Core 2 and let us know if you need anything else. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

    I like the video and appreciate you making it. That said question 13 imo is worded very poorly. There is no implication that a DVI-D to HDMI adapter is involved in the equation. That said why is DisplayPort not an appropriate answer as well, as you can use a DVI-D to DisplayPort adapter?
    Also, question 16 has an inaccuracy while explaining the answer. The video says a LAN is used for a campus. Campus implies a College or University, that would actually use a CAN. I believe I am correct in saying this as a campus is not "a small geographical area," unless the implication was a primary school. Even then, I think it would be appropriate to specify.

      You're correct, and I appreciate your feedback. Both HDMI and DisplayPort are indeed capable of carrying digital video signals. However, the question is asking about the connector type that DVI-D uses, not which other types of connectors can carry a digital signal. DVI-D and HDMI are more directly compatible, as they can be connected using a simple adapter due to their similar signal types. DisplayPort, while it can carry a digital signal, uses a different protocol and would require an active adapter to convert the signal for use with a DVI-D connector. I hope this clarifies the intent of the question.

    Sorry but Question 45 - The answer does not make sense. The question asks what can repair the no audio from speakers. How does replacing a microphone fix the audio from speakers as it is an input device, not the output audio device? You would use the Headphone jack to relay the audio to the headphones instead of the speakers, no?

    • @techvaultacademy
      @techvaultacademy  Před 9 měsíci +1

      You make a valid point. While a faulty microphone primarily deals with audio input, it could potentially impact the overall audio functionality of the device. If the smartphone's system is not receiving audio input correctly, it might affect the audio output as well. However, this relationship is not as direct as a malfunctioning headphone jack's impact on audio output.
      So, both Option C (Microphone) and Option D (Headphone jack) could potentially resolve the issue of "no audio from speakers." It might depend on the specific nature of the problem. In a troubleshooting scenario, it's often essential to check both input and output components to pinpoint the exact cause.
      Therefore, the question could be seen as somewhat ambiguous, as both answers have a plausible connection to the problem. However, if the question intends to identify the most direct or common solution for this issue, replacing a malfunctioning headphone jack (Option D) would likely be the primary choice.
      Again, I appreciate your thoughtful analysis, and it highlights the importance of clarity in exam questions.

    • @Fredjoe5
      @Fredjoe5 Před 7 měsíci +2

      In my experience, the headphone jack socket is far more likely to be the issue. A jack with a stuck internal contact will cause the system to switch off the internal speakers since it believes the jack socket is occupied. I've seen this on both smartphone and motherboard issues.
      I've NEVER seen a microphone cause this.

    On question 21, can you please clarify why "SATA cable is faulty" is not a legitimate reason for seeing a "boot device not found" error? If there is no connection between the motherboard and the hard drive, would that also not produce a "boot device not found" error since the computer can't load any of the bootable data from the hard drive?

    • @techvaultacademy
      @techvaultacademy  Před 9 měsíci +4

      You raise an excellent point. A faulty SATA cable could indeed cause a "boot device not found" error if it results in the motherboard not detecting the hard drive at all. My explanation was too dismissive of that possibility.
      A loose, damaged, or unconnected SATA cable would create a lack of communication between the motherboard and hard drive, just like you said. This would prevent the BIOS from detecting the drive and could lead to that same boot error.
      In this scenario, a technician should check both the boot order in BIOS and the physical connections/cabling before ruling out either as the cause. I appreciate you calling out that oversight on my part - it will really help reinforce the troubleshooting logic for myself and others watching the video. Thank you for taking the time to clarify and help me improve the quality of my explanations!

      Thank you for your insightful comment. You rightly pointed out that a faulty headphone jack, if the phone thinks headphones are connected, can also lead to a lack of audio from the built-in speakers. The distinction between the microphone and headphone jack is indeed subtle, and both components could contribute to audio problems.
      Your feedback helps enrich the discussion and highlights the complexity of hardware troubleshooting, often involving multiple components. If you have any more questions or thoughts, feel free to share them. Your engagement is valuable to us!

    On question 45. A microphone will not prevent speaker audio from playing. A headphone jack will as it can register headphones that are not there and it will play all audio to the jack and not the speakers. So that answer is completely wrong.

    • @techvaultacademy
      @techvaultacademy  Před 8 měsíci

      Thank you for your comment regarding question 45. We appreciate your input. The question aimed to identify the component that, when replaced, would best resolve the issue of having no audio from the built-in speakers while the images display correctly on a smartphone. In this scenario, we considered the microphone (C) as the correct answer because a malfunctioning microphone can lead to issues with audio output.
      However, you bring up a valid point regarding the headphone jack (D). It's true that a defective headphone jack can indeed cause a problem where audio may be redirected, potentially leading to the described issue. The distinction between the microphone and headphone jack is subtle, and both components could contribute to audio problems.
      We appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to further clarify this matter. It's a good reminder that troubleshooting hardware issues can sometimes involve multiple components. If you have any more questions or feedback, please feel free to share them.

    Question 46 : you said SD card not being fully inserted wouldn’t cause the camera to not recognize the card. This is wrong

    • @techvaultacademy
      @techvaultacademy  Před 9 měsíci +2

      Thank you for your comment regarding Question 46. You bring up a valid point, and we appreciate your engagement. In the question, we mentioned that the camera does not recognize the new SD card, and the correct answer provided was 'A) Incompatible SD card file system,' which is indeed the most likely cause.
      However, it's worth noting that a partially inserted SD card (Choice B) can also lead to the camera not recognizing the card. When an SD card is not fully inserted, it may not make proper contact with the camera's card reader, causing connectivity issues that could result in the camera's inability to recognize the card.
      So, while the correct answer in the context of this question is related to the file system, we acknowledge that the physical state of the SD card, such as being not fully inserted, can also cause similar issues. We appreciate your feedback, and we aim to provide comprehensive explanations to enhance your understanding of these scenarios.

      Thank you for your comment. The answer is Network Sniffer because it is a tool that can capture and analyze network traffic from a specific host, without requiring physical installation or access to the network cable. A Network Tap is a hardware device that can also capture network traffic, but it needs to be inserted at a specific point in the network and creates an exact copy of the bi-directional traffic, which might be more than what the technician needs to analyze .

      I appreciate your comment and apologize for any confusion. The correct answer for Question 24 is D) USB OTG (USB On-The-Go). This method is commonly used for connecting Android devices to Windows laptops to facilitate file transfers.
      The rationale is as follows:
      - **A) Infrared:** Infrared is an older technology and not commonly used for file transfers between these devices.
      - **B) Bluetooth:** Bluetooth is a valid option, but USB OTG might be more efficient for larger file transfers.
      - **C) NFC (Near Field Communication):** NFC is generally used for short-range communication, and it might not be the most practical choice for file transfers between these devices.
      The correct answer, USB OTG, allows a direct connection between the Android device and the Windows laptop using a USB cable, enabling efficient file transfer. If you have more questions or need further clarification, feel free to ask!

    Question 27 is misleading in that it emphasizes "connectors has pins arranged in two equal rows" and "commonly used for printers and hard drives".
    The answer displays a 20-Pin ATX Molex which satisfies the first part of the question but does not have a direct relevance to printers or hard drives as the second part of the question.
    Which hard drives and\or printers commonly use this type of Molex?
    USB-C could be an answer and it has two rows of 12 pins and is common connector for hard drives. Although not common in printers, modern compact printers can be found using USB-C

    • @techvaultacademy
      @techvaultacademy  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Thank you for the additional information. You are correct; there are different types of Molex connectors, and the specific 20-Pin ATX Molex connector may not be directly relevant to printers or hard drives. It's important to note that Molex connectors can vary in terms of their pin configurations and usage.
      In this case, if the Molex connector shown in the video was a 20-Pin ATX Molex, and it doesn't commonly relate to printers or hard drives, it could indeed be considered a point of clarification or refinement for this question. The question might benefit from specifying the type of Molex connector that is more commonly associated with printers and hard drives, like the 4-Pin Molex connector.
      Questions in technical quizzes and exams should ideally be clear and unambiguous, so your feedback is valuable in ensuring the accuracy of the content.

      I understand your frustration and appreciate your feedback. You're right, sometimes getting straight to the right answer and explanation can be more efficient.
      In general, there are a few reasons why I often present both correct and incorrect answers with explanations:
      Deeper understanding: Seeing and analyzing the wrong options can help solidify the right answer by clarifying why they're incorrect. This can be especially helpful for complex topics or concepts with multiple nuances.
      Exam preparation: CompTIA A+ exams often include distractor options that resemble the correct answer but have subtle differences. Understanding these "traps" can help you avoid them on the actual exam.
      Active learning: Discussing and dissecting the reasoning behind both right and wrong answers encourages critical thinking and active learning, rather than passive absorption of information.
      However, I recognize that there are times when you just want to see the correct answer and move on. I'm flexible! If you ever encounter a question where you'd prefer a direct answer, simply let me know, and I'll be happy to oblige.
