I'm here because tomorrow I have a test in it, and THANK you sooo much! that was soo helpfulllllll!!!
Awesome! So glad to be able to help!
i waited a month, did you pass?
Same 😭😭😭
This so true
@@kingnutsThank god yep I did 😂
Organized like an ICU nurse. Love your content! I use your videos to help fill in gaps when I have students shadowing me!
Haha thanks Laura. You can always tell an ICU nurse from their obsession with organization! 😂 So awesome to hear these videos are helpful for you. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment!
Love your videos!! It is very intimidating being a new grad on an ICU floor. Thank you for supplementing everything nursing school missed on critical care!!!!!
Yes, I remember that feeling well Valerie! Honestly years later, there still will be times that it can still feel overwhelming, but those times get less and less as you go. 😊 Its a heck of a journey though that I wouldn't trade for the world. Glad you enjoyed the video!
In continuing with the 'heart failure' playlist, perhaps you can create a 'Respiratory Failure' playlist with Acute respiratory failure, ARDS, SARS...also chest traumas - pneumothorax, tension pneumothorax, flail chest and of course, treatments such as chest tubes (wet/dry systems), ventilation.. which you already have. You page is very thorough and helpful and to the point. I'm following your playlist with my course curriculum, and you're extremely resourceful in helping tie it all together! So thank you for helping us out ;)
Great suggestions! I do have a few of those on the todo list already! Glad you enjoy the videos and are finding them helpful. Thats awesome!
yes!
Nice suggestion

Transferring from med-surg to ICU, I’m using your videos to help prepare a bit. Thank you for all your work!
Congrats on the transfer Sandy! Glad these videos are able to help you. It's an exciting road you are headed on and I wish you all the best. Glad to have been able to help in some way.
Oh man...I start nursing school in a few weeks and I forgot most of my Anatomy and Physiology. This video helped tremendously❤❤❤
Awesome! Glad to hear it and best of luck in school!
Don't know what I would do without this channel. First ICU theory exam tomorrow!
I don't know what this channel would do without you! :) Hope the exam went well. You'll have to pop back in and let me know!
Good job man! I am teaching an online A&P course for EMTs going into a paramedic program and I plan on using this video to cover respiratory anatomy and supplement my own lectures of respiratory physiology. Thanks!
Thanks Joel! Really appreciate the good feedback. Very cool to hear they will be helpful for you in teaching your students. Truly happy to be able to help!
Brilliant website. Love the way you explain things in such simple terms.
Awesome! Thank you so much! I do my best to try and simplify things while still being able to explain what is happening. Glad it hit home for you!
Thank you Eddie!!!👏🏻🤗 Can you include also in the next lecture what medications should not be crushed like Senokot etc. Many times in the ICU when the patient was admitted initially they are not intubated and can take PO meds, After they got intubated they will receive the meds via OGT or NGT and most of the time the doctor did not shift their medication to syrup form etc. Thanks
Thanks for the suggestion Joe. I like it, although probably would take me some time as I'll want to compile a good list of medications to all include in there. I've got some other stuff in the pipeline but definitely will add this to the todo list!
You got me at break things down.
I'm studying respiratory for my anatomy midterm which got delayed a week and moved to online because of Covid-19, trying to sustain my level of knowledge for the exam!
Hope the video was helpful!
Great info Eddie! Appreciate you imparting all this knowledge! I’m a fairly new ICU nurse, so all of this info on your page really helps!

I really love this!!
Thanks a ton❤️🥺
I'm so glad!
Thank you, this video somehow made it less daunting to learn this. Well done. I have subscribed for the 1st time ever!!! :)
Just stumbled across this video; thank you so much. I just got accepted into our Respiratory Therapy program, only 20 of the 400 that applied got accepted and I’m SUPER nervous so I’m pre studying.
If you have not done one already (I haven’t checked) can you do just terminology/abbreviations? The differences between paco2 and PACO2 or Pettco2, etc. Our textbook doesn’t explain the differences, and there’s so many, it’s hard to keep track!
Congratulations on getting into your program! Sounds like you worked your butt off to make that happen and you should be super proud. Way to go.
Good suggestion on the terminology. I'll stew on that for a bit and see if I can come up with something in the future.
I'm a 12th grader, found your video really Helpful ❤
thank u so much sir for such a wonderful explanation. i really enjoyed listening to every single word you said and i remember it well
So happy to hear this Sanjina! Really glad that you enjoyed the lesson and found it helpful for you! :)
Thanks @ICU Advantage for Teaching Respiratory System us. 👍👍
Happy to be able to help!
Thank you for this video sir
I was kinda confused when you talked about the lobar bronchi cause i thought you were already talking about bronchioles
I'll admit the terminology for the respiratory anatomy is a bit confusing!
Thx Eddie. You really make me knows a lot of knowledge about the respiratory system.Thank you!But remember, Try to teach me a bit easier, because I am a student and I am learning this topic. Thanks
Hi Kayden. I try to do my best to keep it simple, but I also have these videos geared primarily towards nursing students at the end of school or practicing nurses going in to ICU.
Ok! Thanks Eddie.
Hi Eddie, I hope you see this.
Thank you for helping me learn all these difficult concepts, I am an ICU student from SA and discovered this channel late.
Unfortunately I failed my Cardiology exam but hoping to do better on Pulmonology ❤
I just love all of your videos. Thank you❤
Aww thank you! ❤️ Glad you find them helpful!
Thank you. It's very clear and easy to understand. :)
Great to hear this!
Hey Eddie, I recently started my CCT and your videos are awesome to help even further understanding of things.. Do you do private tutoring online? Would love to get further help from you.. 🤓
Hey Denise! Glad to hear that you are finding these videos helpful for you! As for tutoring, that isn't something that I do, but you are more than welcome to reach out to me at icuadvantage@gmail.com to let me know what you are looking for, and I can see if I can help in any way. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment.
Thank you this really helped!
Glad it helped!
Dear ICU Advantage,
Could you please do a video on adventitious breath sounds. Incorporating things like pathophysiology, auscultation sites like where certain sounds are likely heard, examples of the sounds, conditions that can be attributed to the different types of sounds etc etc. We consider you a good source of educational material and it seems like you don’t have a video specifically on this topic.
Hope you like the idea.
Cheers
Your Mate from Australia.
clear explanation and easy to understand .. thanks for sharing
My pleasure Syah! I'm glad that you like it. Thank you so much for leaving a comment.
Fantastic, as ever, thanks.

I’m here to review before starting nursing school.
Man this guy is the GOAT
Thank you, starting respiratory in pathophysiology
Awesome! Best of luck to you!
Would you mind spelling out the anatomical words you say, maybe on a different section of the black space?
Sorry, these videos were made with the intended audience of healthcare workers hence not spelling those out.
Do you have a video on development of the respiratory system
Please is there any other video that explains the physiology of respiration?
Going into year 9 but love to review, reinforce and learn.
u learn this in grade 9?
You help alott thank you so much ❤
I have a test in respiratory system next week so this is really helpfull
Awesome!!
I really want to learn all the complex names of the way the air moves in
Well explained 😊
I think your much better than my A&P professor by a mile.

Awesome!
Please can you do an other video on mechanical ventilation the one you had i found it too complicated bur overall your video are great thank you
Me: *thinks about breathing*
Also me: *forgets how to breath*
😂
Strong work, Eddie!! Crazy to think that if we were to spread out all of our alveolar tissue it would cover a tennis court.
Thanks man! The human body just blows my mind sometimes when I really get to thinking about it and how it works. The lungs surface area is definitely one of those things! Thanks for the comment!
Thank for this video I love it I hope I pass the test
Hope the test went well!
Can you explain the basic lung values (TV , IRV , ERV , RV )
And lung capacity and other terms related to it
I'll add these to the todo list.
I’m here because as I finish med school I want to apply for anesthesiology this year and so i’m digging back into basic ventilating and such
Awesome! Best of luck on your matching!

Awesome to hear this!
Thank you so much. I love your vidoes

I’m just here for a review and to take my 2 month old on my journey back to nursing school
Wanted to know how a stent works when you put it in a lung to breathe
I need to ask what is the function of the respiratory system and what is the structure
VQ mismatch is what I’m hoping to learn from this. Something I’ve never been able to understand
thankyouuu its so helpful
I'm so glad! You're very welcome!
How to organize the body structure from superior to the inferior
why is it that I still feel pulse in my hand if I stopped for a few seconds of Breathing? whats the reason behind it? and How is oxygen pumped in different parts of the body in the internal environment and not in the external environment? Thank you in advance if my question is answered
What is a voice box
The pressure relationship in the thoracic cavity. I also am very confused by the partial pressure exchange between the blood and tissue
What is it you aren't understanding?
I am trying to understand mechanical ventilation but need a quick review of the respiratory system and pressures within the lungs
I hope this video helped

I’m studying for my Physio quiz, and I don’t understand the connection between the respiratory system and the CNS.
Kaamiishuu U cns exist inside the brain stem which control your respiration’s. You can look them up which number responds to the ponds, medulla, etc...
What exactly are you wanting to know?
Great
Thank you Ahmed!
What about diaphragm?
Fab lesson
