    My husband is gonna love this video when I show him ; ) I want this cabinet. It matches the shelves, which I have, perfectly. You can actually fit larger orchids on the bottom.

    Wow! You’re great at explaining things, Miss Orchid Girl!
    I’ve followed you for Phal advice & repoting… couldn’t believe I saw you looking for this cabinet; it was a relief.

    I jumped here from your humidifier review video, for some other ideas, I am not even into flowers all that much, but you are so incredibly articulate, it is fun to listen and watch! Great job!

    Thank you so much for this video. I want to spray paint this, so it was really helpful to see that the side glass pieces are encased in metal -- which means I'll have to tape and paper those particular glass pieces. Thank you!

    Hi Danny, thank you so much for this video. It is very helpful. I have been looking for a glass door cabinet that can be modified to function as a greenhouse. Can you also post the links to the lights and other accessories used in the video? I was not able to find them in the video description. ❤

    This is where IKEA goes wrong had they said ‘refer to Box 2’ or something equivalent simple people like myself wouldn’t get annoyed / frustrated or confused about what’s needed. I literally got the two black metal sheets in Box 1 trying to force them in and it wasn’t going that well….now I see why 😂

    Loved your video super helpful. That screw driver included is not a screwdriver. It’s an Allen wrench. It’s shaped like that for leverage in order to tighten.

    How neat, for the cables if your tape doesn't work might try magnetic hooks or clips. I like your assembly videos, gives me a comfort to see how they are assembled. Thanks for sharing 😊

    I am literally in the middle of building one of these as we speak! It's a great cabinet. I ordered some acrylic shelves to provide more room, and to hopefully prevent some of the smudging that these glass shelves attract.

    • @MissOrchidGirl

    make shift screw driver lol It's called an Allen wrench and they are pretty common for furniture assembly. a regular screw driver can push the screws too deep which can split the wood. in this case it could strip the tops of the screw and you can never take your product apart. 😃

    Do you find that the humidity spreads evenly between shelves in this cabinet, or is it mostly on the bottom shelf? I'm curious about whether the mist is able to travel up the spaces around the top shelf - if that makes sense :)

      The doors for the cabinet must be open and then be sure to put the from on 1st like is shown in the video. Then you should be able to press the back down

    I’m getting this cabinet next week. I see a time space around the glas… would it be enough to put the wires through from the lights, fans and all?

    • @MissOrchidGirl
      @MissOrchidGirl  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi, there is quite a bit of space, but depends on the wires. I would say fan wires and all flat or thin wires pass for sure, really thick ones might be a squeeze. Anyway be sure NOT to pass them through the door openings as they can get cut when opening and closing and this cabinet is metal! 😬 Through the side pannels could work out. I drilled a hole at the bottom and covered it with a round desk... Cover? Lol much safer 😊

    • @vickyw8789
      @vickyw8789 Před 2 lety

      @@MissOrchidGirl thanks for the fast reply! I had the wires in mind when I bought everything so they’re all flat or thin. I don’t have such a dril nor a handyman that can do it for me 😅 so I have to try it that way 🫣 you did change my mind on my setup. I was going to get a wire shelf but with fans up and down the glass should work too. Love your channel btw! 🪴🌸

      @scubamage Před 2 lety +1

      They are supposedly powder coated. However there are folks who have seen some rusting around the edges (where the metal is folded), so the powder coating may not be the sturdiest. Also, anywhere you cut the cabinet you should probably seal with some rust proofing clear paint.
