I agree, not the number 1 play just because it ended a game, and yes, I do know it was a playoff game. Frazier's catch was much more difficult.

Yeah man it's the Mookie bandwagon that called it #1. I mean she was a beaut of a grab and I would leave my wife for Mookie, but a 2-0 win in the second game of the season doesn't really add many clutch points. It's supposed to be "Top plays", not "Top nice grabs to close a mediocre game while getting warmed up for the season"

Andrew Benintendi made several Gordonesque catches in left field that were as good or better (and equal to Gordon) than many of the catches that were in the top 100, but they ignored him and all the other great plays made in the infield and outfield by the Royals. Michael A. Tayor's two outfield assists in game 1 of the season should have been in there somewhere. I'm not sure, but I'm thinking he may have even hit a HR in that game.

Shohei Ohtani is a unanimous MVP in this MLB! I'm just impressed. Looking at him alone, it was strange to be called a beast, an extraterrestrial, or a unicorn, but he is surprised because he is no better than the major leaguers in the line. The results I left are amazing.

I absolutely loved that last inning where the Yankees came roaring back, only to have Chicago walk it off with that homer. That was totally awesome, and I didn't care who won. That was an epic game in an epic setting.

Solid list, but Tyler Matzek definitely deserved a mention. Wether it was his solid performance in the 7th inning in the NLCS vs the Dodgers, or his awesome no-look catch in the regular season.

That was the most unreal moment of the season. He just went out there and started pumping 98 right down the middle and no one could hit it. The balls to do that with men on base in a close elimination game is absurd.
I think we all knew The Braves were winning the world series after that moment.

Biased Padres fan here but Camarenas grand slam was way too low, relief pitcher hitting a slam off Scherzer to take the lead (and ultimately win) after an 8-0 deficit in his first MLB plate appearance. Also first relief pitcher to hit a GS since 1985
