Ahhhh I almost thought Darwin was defeated 🔥

Uhm spoilers... I watch these video's for the Darwin bit...
damn the final fight between Monet and Darwin was suspenseful, first few seconds I was convinced that this is the very first figure to defeat Darwin, but at 9:20, my heart sank
I thought "no way that's a ML figure" when I saw the notification, but it is. Very nice figure. Love the sculpt and the proportions.
It does me well to see Hasbro actually put an effort in their figures like this. I don't even care about this character and it's so well done, I might cave and get her!
I give Hasbro a lot of crap only because I know they can do better. This is what they're capable of, this works for me.
I like this figure specifically because of the size of the head in proportions to the body. Gives it a very athletic feel with the more lanky limbs, wider shoulders, etc. that is very accurate to most comic superhero art outside of a few notable exceptions like J Scott Campbell or something. There was a huge uproar when she was first announced with everyone saying how freakishly small her head is, and that's just because people are so used to oversized ML heads. It's a shame really. Wish more figures are made closer to these proportions.
@@pletho79 On reddit people were moaning collectively about how tiny the head is, and also some youtubers previewing the wave when it was first announced said the same thing. It was definitely shocking to me when so many people thought her head was too small.
Just goes to show how people have no idea what they're talking about. From what I've heard, CZcams has basically become a giant Amazon user review section
Alternate expressions would be amazing for the figures that don’t have obvious accessory inclusions
No idea about the character, but does look more well proportioned and overall decent looking figure.

I still remember buying issue number one of Generation-X off the spinner rack at Kroger.
I mean Jean Grey, Rogue, and Psylocke are definitely my favorite X-Women ever because their beautiful, strong, and badass but...... Monet St. Croix to me is beautiful, strong, and badass with her so very unique set of powers despite not coming with power effects which she could have used, Overall, Awesome review Anthony.

She's perfect. Face and the colors. One of my top ten in my collection. Darwin looked nervous standing in front of her.
It's nice to see Hasbro actually do something right! I don't know who this character is, I haven't actively read comics since the early 2000's, but this figure actually makes me interested to see what she's all about. I don't know why Hasbro can't make figures of their more popular characters that are of this quality. Even the elbows look proper when fully bent, no disjointed mess. You would think with as much money as Hasbro makes, that they would put this much effort into all of their figures.
I now see why strong guy fell in love with her 😄 jokes aside, i absolutely agree with the rating you gave her. Apart of her needing more accessories (alternate heads and a couple of effect pieces) i feel like her legs might need a little more meat, but other than that, this is an absolute win for Hasbro and marvel legends collectors.
Hasbro's Fortnite line is a great example of how they could be doing the faces on marvel legends, they're cartoony but well painted
As soon as you said there was one thing in particular this fig does better than most Legends, I knew immediately it was the face - it's extremely eye-catching in a good way, lol. Really, really hope it's an intentional testing of the waters and that more sculpts+paintjobs follow in these footsteps. Thanks for the review!

So great when Hasbro gives you reason to give a good review! The character isn’t one I’m familiar with, but I may pick this up just as a great-looking figure (understanding that we’re talking on the Marvel Legends scale, of course). Great review! 🎉

I'm convinced at this point that Hasbro will put in a bit more effort into figures not many people care about to increase sales. They did it for Typhoid Mary and Silver Samurai.
That Silver Samurai has terrible articulation though.

Solid review! I just got her today and she exceeded my expectations. I totally agree with you, too. For a female Marvel Legend, she's definitely one of the best I've picked up in a while. And I also agree with not comparing Legends/Hasbro to imports. I make two completely different top ten list for each of them for the sake of fairness lol.
The fact that Hasbro show, a few times a year, just how good they can be is so infuriating.

I was happy to see that this figure got a 9 out of 10. I thought it was one of the best female Marvel Legends figures figures Hasbro has released in recent memory, but I tend to lose a lot of my objectivity when it’s a character I like in the costume I wanted unless it’s so terrible that even the beer goggles don’t work (coughorangecheetotigracough).

How would jada's articulation compare to SH Figuarts? I think they heard you say that a cheaper figure would always be a 2 and accepted that challenge.
A little care from hasbro makes the figures look so good. Just shows what they can do and still choose not to which is sad
This gal is OP AF. I didn’t know much about her before this review, which is great as usual, but anyhow, I looked her up and the massive list of powers she has is ridiculous. I had the understanding that mutants only have one power or if they have more than one, it’s a secondary mutation and both can’t be accessed at the same time, but this girl is a powerhouse, how does she ever loose?
Wheeww....close one...thought darwin was gonna lose. I find it weird that they make the proportions on this figure look decent....then they show an upcoming Black widow...which should have these proportions....looking rather frumpy...granted the new black widow will have the butterfly and the extra crunch..but man...they just had to hasbro the look.
Why don't they go the sHF route with swappable faces. Seems cheaper.

@@CyborgSodaCollects less materials but more pieces and more Engineering involved. Each face plate would be a separate piece as would any other parts that would have to be removed to swap face plates. So it would end up costing more than just having 2 separate heads with different faces.
Kudos to Monet's bra. It's working overtime.
I have some graphic novels of X-Factor Investigations. I liked her look in that. Perhaps they'llake that version in future.

Just found that Ryu at my local target and picked it up on impulse.
I’m pretty pleased with it, but be warned: there were two on the shelf and the paint apps on one of the faces was WAAAY off.
Brilliant! A Hasbro Marvel Legends figure done remarkably well! And no - that was not sarcasm; rather, the uninhibited truth of the matter. A figure like this just proves to us that Hasbro is, in fact, capable of producing an action figure that does meet the level of quality collectors come to expect.

I like this figure but hate hasbros newer female butt sculpt
some of these obscure characters get more budget than the main ones, why hasbro? worst part is, a lot of these improvements are not implemented ever again in the new releases, they only reuse their bad stuff

Trust me, I don't like saying the same thing over and over but I really don't think Hasbro is making the characters look like people in superhero cosplay is because I think that they don't want to over exaggerate the proportions by making female characters too sexualized but maybe I wrong, Let me know.
We know this. The result of them doing what you're explaining is why we get figures that look like people in cosplay.
Honestly, that's not the case. Look at the moonstone body mold, it is fairly proportioned, not too voluptuous but definitely not skinny like the ones Hasbro has been using lately. I mean, they already have the medusa body mold and they could've used it for invisible woman yet, they opted to use the anorexic kate bishop mold. Just look the art work of invisible woman and you'll notice what I'm talking about. even she hulk is way too skinny, she doesn't have enough muscle or thickness which is bad, again you'll notice that both heroines are by no means skinny. Same happens to the male characters. Characters like venom colossus warpath and sabretooth are so badly proportioned, undersized and skinny, which is the opposite of how they've been depicted in the comics, it's just Hasbro not knowing anything about how the characters body types are and they are screwing alot of characters just because of their ignorance. if they respect the character's physique exactly like the ones from the comics it doesn't mean that they are "sexualizing" the characters.
If marvel legends can make every character in marvel then that’s great, everyone deserves some love so people can be familiar with them but the problem is this company is just garbage and not consistent at all

Positivity in an AnthonysCustoms Marvel Legends review, blasphemy. I know nothing about this character, but the design looks good, and its not a crap release. Might be an impulse buy if I see it I store.
Great job with St Croix. Shame they fked up the Emna Frost from the same release. They ALWAYS scrimp on the breasts these days....except with this fig. How odd.
