I am Indian living in Australia n I can hand on heart say .. the Mahindra will easily survive Australian conditions.. just need more dealerships and spare parts backing .. I recently bought a Mahindra Scorpio here .. absolutely love it and my aussie frds here are completely impressed with this car.

Hyundai and therefore Kia dropping the diesel for Australia 🇦🇺 would be a massive mistake. It would immediately remove them from a large number of consumers. Like companies that insist on space saver tyres for rural Australia. It’s simply not an option to have ‘city’ versions in our rural areas.

I agree with Paul 100% there should be a flat rate across the board for road tax or maybe even a tiered version of that?

What drew me to buy the 2020 Sante Fe was how open and spacious the driver's area felt. I got the fully loaded package and love everything. But now with the raised center console, it feels confining and closed-in. I love the new lighter interior option, but that tight closed-in cockpit driver experience is a hard "No" from me. And I would really hate to loose the bench back seat as I load a lot on those. I have no need of a 3rd row. Sad, because I was willing to upgrade and pass on my 2020 to family. But I'll keep the more open expansive version.

I currently have the 2022 1.6L hybrid santa fe highlander and absolutely love it great for around town on fuel and carting the kids around although I was a bit thrown back by the 70k i paid for it but feature wise its great. I get roughly 5.5 - 6L/100km

Hi Guys enjoy the channel, Paul, I have a question regarding these imports. Obviously there aren't any choices, but we have cars coming in from Europe, Asia, states, the question is regarding Prices on maintaining costs, availability of spare parts ect. Would it be an idea to also do some research on this part of owning a car.
    Regards from Korea

Agree to an extent about road taxes but what about rural motorists who have to drive alot more kms to do the basics? I'm semi rural and it's a good 50km to buy milk or bread. What about folk who have to drive several hundred km to the nearest town. I understand we already pay more with fuel usage however at least we get better fuel economy, hence less tax due to the efficiency of doing 80-100kph.

  • @jamieshields9521

I would like to road tax like Victoria where everyone pays same n if weight/km tax was added then rural workers/farmers should get some sort discount as it’s not work but sporting events, school travel other social events, like me I can’t afford second small car n I drive ute to help my family farm n other farmers especially picking up supplies bring to farm saving extra trip to town. For Xmas presents best one last year was Kincrome advent calendar or bon bon set of 4 with 4 tools.

Santa Fe looks great but engine is like from 15 years ago. Looks like they have given up on ICE development. Should be plugin hybrid with 2.5 na and 200hp electric motor like Rav4 prime. Which is smaller car.

The new Santa Fe looks quite a bit bigger than the current model, is it close dimensionlly to a Palisade? Hyundai may need to update the Palisade pronto to stop Santa Fe Cannibalising sales.
