I still don't get the Cine4 profile point... I'm sure I'm doing something wrong as I'm getting quite some noise in my footages. Also of course, I hear everywhere that yeah, the profile to go for low-light blahblah, but Slog2 kicks cine4 butt massively with its 800 base ISO (in the a7iii which I own)...
There is something I must be missing...
Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge in such an awesome way Dom, I think you're one of my favorites if not my new favorite!

What are the dual base ISOs for Cine4 gamma? They all mention the native ISOs for no PP, SLOG3 and S-Cinetone. No one mentions it for Cine 4

Dual base iso is camera dependent, and Sony only published valves for slog and s-cinetone. But I’m guessing if your camera has dual iso, cine4 will probably be similar to s-cinetone

You didn't show how to do the blacks.

So for those scenes that don’t technically have true blacks, where do you find your exposure normally falling (ie -.5 stops, minus .7 stops etc)? Do you find this applies for CINE1 as well? One of your previous videos (Custom PP Settings video) you spoke about CINE1 doing better in areas where highlight information really needs to be preserved. In a color grading video of yours, you shot (I think I replied on a comment a little bit ago) a pretty contrasty, yet pretty bright shot in CINE4. Do you find yourself still using CINE4 in most scenarios, even bright ones, over CINE1? Thanks in advance! Your videos have been stupid helpful
Edit: also, when you under expose a bit, are you pulling up the exposure as a whole in post? Then stretching the shadows close to zero and highlights close to 100? Or just adjusting shadows, midtones, highlights independently?

Why don't you use SLOG 2?

Is the option for zebra not available in the second category on the menu?

Thank you for your really helpfull and compact videos.
Would you tell me what your Cine4 settings are?
With the wrong settings your way of exposing doesn't really work.
