In this report on Yo-kai Watch Puni Puni (妖怪ウォッチぷにぷに), we walkthrough the Half-demon Dragonslayers event! It's Puni original content and grindable! We've got two new ZZ-ranks with Death Dragon and Venoct Shuu, two new Z-ranks with Death-carver Dandori and Satoba Ryuuta, and three SSS-ranks with Death-carver Catherine, Dragonslayer Corps Rampajah, and Death-carver Gowin. In addition there's Dragonslayer Corps Jibanyan! Y-point spending and high stakes battles! All the stages, hidden stages, and more! Strategies and techniques for Pseudokai and Yokodori Battles, event quests, and more!
Fun fact about the culture behind the lore: The reason that there's a Death-elemental event in April (the 4th month of the year) rather than October (the month of Halloween) is most likely due to the connection/similarity between the word for the number 4 and the word for Death in Japanese (and in Chinese, though that's not quite as pertinent for Puni Puni)

Thanks Robbett and Luks for the guide! This event was cleared quickly! I'm happy a grindable event arrived and hopefully there will be a nyanbo event as I just need one more coin for a special 10 crank. And is the main key for defeating the death dragon just Dragon Slayer Venoct?
He's the main bonus, although two others can help and there are some ways to beat him without them.

7 months already? Damn. Didn't get him in this event, but instead in the finale. I'll miss this saga, it was my favourite of the lot thus far. You did us good, Shuu, Death Dragon and Ryuuta!
I'd be grinding this event but
a) The phone I play on is old as hell and dies quickly, plus it won't let me transfer puni to my newer phone
b) I've basically stopped playing puni at this point. I stopped quite a while ago
I only go on puni whenever there are free Y-points. I used 9k to get Dandori and just went off again after playing one level with him

Oh, heads up Robbett, Death Carver Dandori, even at soultimate level 1, provides a bigger score boost with his G-Soultimate than SSS score boosters.

Why do they always put watch parts on stages that require top-tier yokai now? Pretty frustrating knowing watch events are barely ever repeated.

@@hoshisama9636 The rainbow capsule thing is a relatively new addition to the game, but it's really just an aesthetic change that shows you when one of the Yo-Kai you just got from the gatcha is of highest or second highest tier, which are currently ZZ-Rank and Z-Rank, respectively (and those come after SSS-Rank, which might be the highest one you're familiar with, depending on how long ago you left the game)
@@DistrarSubvoyikar wooo...and other changes? I left Puni Puni during the portal event of young Uncle Sakura....
@@hoshisama9636 The only other changes I can think of/see having happened since then are that getting already maxed out Yo-Kai from the gatcha gives you Exp-orbs rather than Soul Secrets (by far the worst change to the game imho), and the introduction of two new event minigame types: Punito Shot (essentially glorified golf) and Yo-Tuber Streams. For further info on those, please refer to Robbett's videos covering the events that introduced them

I have a ton of ss ranks, some sss ranks, 3 (I only use 2 z ranks on my current team) zranks and 2 zz ranks (but I only use 1 zz rank on my team)

She's part of the series, but unless she's a mid-event addition she might not be until another event.

So...you don’t gain soul secrets from maxed out Yokai anymore? Do you get anything then?
It limit breaks them up to 10 extra levels and after that you get exporbs
What do you mean limit break? So like a level 50 E Rank Yokai can go up to level 60? Also how do you get soul secrets then?

I had to start a new game because I got a new phone, and now I have reached level 7. When I unlocked the Crank a kai, I used a 10 crank, and got some cool dudes like an SSS rank. After that, I did a singular crank, and I got a rainbow capsule that contained the ZZ. Just some luck right?
You could’ve put the SIM card in your new phone unless your game data doesn’t transfer with it I’m not good with phones lol

I play Yokai Watch Sangokushi Kunutori Wars, really like it, but it's niche and can be difficult especially if you don't read Japanese.

If you have an app that can translate text from screenshots, that helps. If you don't, I do know how to get the festival coin. Use Jibanyan during the event period
