This is probably a dumb question but would someone be able to explain to me the reasoning for the ‘ring finger’ annotation? I’ve seen it on some other bass tabs but haven’t been able to find an answer when I’ve looked online before
if you mean "let ring" it's called like that not because of the ring finger. Let ring is notated when you have to let strings ring or creating a rhythmic tie that's constant until the notation line is over. Much like a piano pedal
