I absolutely love the way it transitions from Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata to Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue in the key of E!!! So beautiful!
IKR SO BEAUTIFUL
I am proud to say that as a teen of this generation that I know a majority of these pieces. I am honored to say I participated in playing a playing a few of these scores. My high school band in the last has played about 10+ of these songs!
This music is what I live to listen to
Do you want a fucking medal?
Shrek is Love Shrek is Life You're a bit aggressive it seems.
I think it's the second time now I came here to check what was the name of the piece of music playing in my head.
And yeah. Again, it was a success.
began listening to classical just now and is beautiful
A wizard is never late, nore is he early. 🌄
@@bojanbojic9230 I absolutely adore your reply to this!

this doesnt get it as much justice as it should get, GREAT MUSIC, i wish people knew just how much this is an influence this is on music today
Dmitri Shostakovich - Waltz No.2 should be somewhere on the list
Does not qualify. Not enough people know it w/o knowing that they know it.
Ben Sherman not even Jupiter from the planets
And some of those:
1. W.A. Mozart :Piano Sonata no 11. in A major, I. Andante grazziosso
2. W. A. Mozart: "Eine kleine Nachtmusik" 2. Romanze: Andante
3. Offenbach: "Tales from Hoffmann", Barcarole
4..Johann Strauss II: Die Fledermaus overture...
It's number 102 kickassclassical.com//classical-music-popular-famous-best-top-200-list.html
Sad it’s not!
Amazing how growing up in western culture all of these songs are instantly recognizable.
1 Nutcracker and he has 6 entries...Tchaikovsky too good
Yes indeed.
Tianrui Xiao THATS sooooo right
Helps that the piece is over two hours long and has a lot of numbers with little to no thematic relation so he can load a lot of melodic inspiration
That's right. Nutcracker is too good. But missed on Sleeping Beauty.
Tchaikovsky always yes.

Huji Mountain Great TREE bring me here!!!!!
My God how I love classical music, thank God I took music appreciation class in high school all those years back!
This list made me realise how much classical music I've actually heard.
Never realized how much classic i know
best 20 minutes of my life *_*
who else actually sat here for 20 minutes and enjoyed it?
No genre of music has as many songs that I absolutely love than classical.
i'm sure every single people in the world know at least 80% of these songs without knowing it ! As far as I'm concerned there were only four songs I had never heard
Couldn't agree more

FINALLY. I've spent about three hours trying to find #42 and finally it's here. Thank you! The trouble with classical music is that its used so much in film and tv but no one really knows what each piece is called (obviously some people do but you know what I mean)...
there´s a typo, it´s actually called "morning wood" not "morning mood"
-regards
Jonathan Donovan Obvious troll is obvious.
SUCH COINCIDENCE....i recorded a video and needed this song...didnt want to watch the whole video to get it....saw ur comment and skipped to Number42....and got it...THANK YOU KIND SIR
Finally, I found you, Pachelbel.
We do. Search Spotify for the Kickass Classical Top 100 :)
#49! Tchaikovsky: Nutcracker: Dance of The Mirlitons (Reed Flutes). I loved this melody when I was a little kid. It was in one my audiobooks, and I have searched for this song for so many years. Today....finally!!!
Thumbs up for Classical, baby!
This list taught me so many classical pieces back when I was just starting to learn piano. I thought it would be more popular 9 years later. Hidden gem
You definitely have to add Smetana-Moldau/Shostakovich-Waltz No.2/Schubert-Sinfonie No9 3rd movement;Ave Maria/
BEST VIDEO IN CZcams.
Classical music doesn't need words because it speaks directly to the soul
I've never spent 20 minutes of my life so good!
대재석 brings me here
나만의 재슥 쟈이스키 쟈이슼키 ... 자이스읔키 kun
20 minutes of sheer bliss.
I think I heard most of this music, at least excerpts, in a lot of Disney and Loony Toons Cartoons lol The other part in films, and Anime :P
and commercials too
Yep
Little einstein had a piece every episode, so I have heard most of these.
Yes same 😂

Thanks Tom & Jerry for showing me and appreciate classical music :)
My 7 year old kid loves to listen to these classical pieces in Bugs Bunny and Little Einsteins.
I've been looking for "The dance of the knights" forever. Thank you so much for this video, it's awesome. Though I actually own tons of classical music albums and listened to all of them, there were some "themes" that I actually didn't know.
Very good initiative, Mr. KickAssClassical. I was surprised to see how many of these pieces I actually had heard (althought not knowing their names). Your video is a great starting point to hearing classical music.
My current best favourites:
Paganini - Caprice no 24
Karl Jenkins - Palladio
Robert Schumann - Violin Sonata no 1 in A Minor, Op 105
Fritz Kreisler - Liebeslied
Vivaldi - Winter, Summer, Nisi Dominus
Mozart - Lacrimosa, Symphony no 25
Franz Schubert - Piano Trio no. 2 in E flat Major
Carl Orff - Carmina Burana
Dmitri Shostakovich - Waltz No.2
Prokofiev - Romeo And Juliet:
Dance Of The Knights
Bach - Toccata and Fugue in D Minor
Beethoven - Symphony no. 5
Can we stop for a second and appreciate how many good tunes there are in the 'Nutcracker' suite alone?
The amount of emotions
some remind you of something. great music dosent need to, it reminds you of a mood, and makes u feel the way the composer wanted you to when hearing it.
This compilation is fantastic, the pieces flow exceptionally well together. So much so that when listening to Sousa's Washington Post for the first time, at any length over 12 seconds, I was frustrated that the excert here wasn't followed by Holst's Planets: Mars, The Bringer Of War (85th and 84th).
I am in love with 80 and 81 !
Great list, thank you so much. This is an ideal playlist for studying or making homework.
After hearing this ...I would like to thank Warner Bros, Disney and Mattel Entertainment for the learning of the music literacy all these wonderful years of childhood!
i love the dance of the knights
Playlist would be good
Ok, just half of them because i dont like all the pieces, but at least is something
Not wishing to be ungrateful!!! I use it a lot!
I coulden't have made a better list myself i've always loved this kind of music since I was 10 now im turning 15 and still love it
I have watched this video for years! As a young kid and now into my adult hood. Thank you for giving us a hit of so many wonderful pieces! Just enough to peek our interest so we research more!
I just love this. I do agree with most of these, but I seriously think Requiem, Beethoven's 7th Symphony, and A Night On Bald Mountain should have been higher.
+Devyn Thomas The "Requiem" that is also called "Dies Arae" and is #98.
+Devyn Thomas
and Mars: Bringer of War.
James McClure Agreed
+Devyn Thomas The lower the number on the countdown, the closer it is to #1 which means its MORE popular than the ones with HIGHER #'s like John Williams only being #50 on the countdown.
James McClure Certainly.
I think this is the best video on CZcams. Seriously, thank you for making this.
this is basically the charts of the last 500 years
So many of these pieces make me flash back to my concert band days!
I'm a Metallica fan, but I love to listen to classical music sometimes
Metalheads are often the biggest fans of classical music. 👍
My top ten list.
10: Star Wars soundtrack: John Williams
9: Piano concerto no:2 : Sergei Rhacmaninoff
8: Te deum from tosca: Puccini
7: Symphony 9: Bruckner
7:The sorcerers apprentice: Paul
6: Scheherazade: Rimsky-Korsakov
5: Symphony 5: Beethoven
4: Romeo and Juliet overture: Tchaikovsky
3: Nocturne in C sharp minor: Chopin
2: Symphony 6: Vaughn Williams
1: The planets: Gustav Holst
Star Wars main theme: composed not by John Williams but by Juventino Rosas (first and original version).
The transitions were done so well with this video that it seemed like the world's greatest song that I got to enjoy for 20 minutes. Great work!
20 minutes of my life extremily well invested!
Wow, what a great selection of classical masterpieces! I've never heard such a good collection! However, some of the greatest "songs" are still missing, for example Strauss-Vienna Blood, Verdi- Aida (Triumphal March), Handel- Sarabande, Funiculi Funicula, or Shostakovich's Waltz No. 2. (Okay, I know, it's just my problem:) Anyway, great job and thank you very much!

Now this really is music to my ears 😃
Been looking for 58 for forever!!
OMG, how did I not see no. 1 coming :p
I would give the first place to "Lacrimosa" from Mozart's Requiem :P
It's truly heavenly, I love it sooo much :))
Too many notes. 🧐
This brings back to many memories from movies and songs I heard in my 90's childhood!
This is really great for memorizing these pieces. Thank you so much for uploading this
Hace año quería hacer esto y descargar cada obra saludos

Closed my eyes and recognized 95 %. But, neither Rodrigo's Concerto d'Aranjuez, nor De Falla's Ritual Fire Dance or Schubert's Serenade was included. Nevertheless well done!
Agree :)
Great list, right on target.
I am missing a few: 1) J.S.Bach: Piano Concerto No. 5; 2) C.P.E. Bach Cello Concerto in A Major, 3) Vivaldi: Guitar Concerto in D, 4) Vivaldi Trio Sonata "La Follia". The last three may be less known, but they definitely kick ass ;)
Reminds me so much of my Dad :) Awesome little collection which I will return to again and again.
Who watched this video in 2016.
I still watch it every day
Wow and I still do. Holy shit.
fur Elise, in Colombia is very common (and funny)see small ice cream cars with this melody in MIDI version
Thank you so much for creating this awesome list!
Thank you so much. I was hellbent on finding number 42 because it'd been stuck in my head for weeks and found it here. I then finished listening to the whole thing.
Thanks piano tiles 2
la donna E' mobile, the " é " is important cause it is "to be" in Italian. So "La donna è mobile" means "woman is lunatic" :)
Makes me think of the EMH in Star Trek Voyager's "Tinker Tailor, Doctor, Spy"
Magnifica recopilación, deben escucharla!! Gracias
I was totally anticipating #1... thinking that it couldn't possibly beat all the epic previous songs...
But I wasn't disappointed :)
Thanks for this great list.

Tocatta and fugue un D is the best for me
Amazing I've listened to more than half of these pieces throughout my life and I've only just got to learn their titles.
Thanks for the memories! I've played most - if not all of them - with orchestras over the years. Feel nostalgic now :)
This made me think of Tom and Jerry :)
Desperately looking for one...the name and composer of which I don't know, only the melody in my head!
Thank you so very much for this, the memories it brought back were more than pleasing.
Grata por essa compilação. Adorável.

I can't thank you enough for putting this up. I would never ever find this song's name (90, Prokofiev - Romeo and Juliet) on my own. Very useful video. Thank you so much.
Beautiful selection
Does anyone have a link to the Mp3 collection?
Vivaldi's Lute Concerto bro..... Vivaldi's Lute Concerto.
a very precise list of over 300 years of the best!
Ah, I was looking for #90! :D Thanks!
I also ended up adding about half of these to my classical playlist now that I had the names, so thanks again! (The other half was on there already. :P )
