Basic cornering is one of the key trials riding strategies needed before you advance. Trial is the world's most popular participatory motorcycle sport. In Australia about one thousand riders compete, - in Europe hundreds of thousands compete regularly. Trial riders compete in ALL weather conditions! Trials riders in the top classes attempt seemingly impossible obstacles, and in the process perform some of the most amazing skilled and trick riding - including air turns, bunny hops and bouncing the front and rear wheels during turns. Moto trials is the only motorcycling sport that you can compete in at "Masters Games" level !!! Basic turns are critical in trials. It's tempting to learn the flashy looking tricks but you must master the basics first. Figure eights are perfect for not only beginners, but as a warm up routine for experienced riders too. Put pressure on the inside footpeg and you will find the bike naturally wants to turn - this is very handy in slippery conditions. Also, as the bike leans it can make even tighter turns possible. Thanks to the Western Districts Trials Club for their riders and expertise in putting together these trials training vids on pivot turns.

Moto trials is a sport of balance, skill and concentration. One at a time, competitors will ride over an obstacle course of boulders, streams, hill climbs, logs, drop offs, and nearly anything else they can find. This needs careful throttle and clutch control so you don't throw your bike at spectators! Try stopping at random points during a full lock turn - this should be easy if you are properly balanced. In effect you are steering with your feet, not the handlebars. More lean is possible by placing the outer foot on the outside of the footpeg. Throttle and clutch control are very important, especially with full lock turns. Too much speed or jerky throttle response will have the bike trying to go forward and sliding the front tyre. Don't get too focused on watching the turn itself, but keep reading the terrain ahead of the corner.

Man, I don't know if I wanna focus on Enduro, MX, Supermoto or pick up trial! The trial skills are extremely useful for Hard Enduro!

Benedocta yep, at the moment i think the top ten hard enduro riders worldwide are ex-trials champs? some guys get an old trials clunker for $1000 first to see if they'll enjoy the sport. 99% of the time they are hooked then buy a good one and get stuck into it! mind you, you can still learn all the techniques on an old clunker...

LEARN TO RIDE TRIALS, OBSERVED TRIALS & MOTO-TRIALS Problem is, I already have two bikes, a supermoto and an enduro. But I just found out there is a trial club 25km from here! But even that is too much to cover on a trial bike, right? Because I have no car.
Well I wrote them an email anyway :-)

Benedocta hehe, even 1km on a public road wouldn't be fun on a trials bike! if any members live near you maybe they'd be happy to car pool? or if your car has a tow bar, maybe one of those motorbike carrier racks across the back?

LEARN TO RIDE TRIALS, OBSERVED TRIALS & MOTO-TRIALS Well I really wanna try it, and I'm gonna see what's possible. What do I have to look for when buying a trial? All bikes I've seen have basically not done any distance! All the prices seem to be based on age.

Мне показывали совершенно другую технику прохождения поворотов. Смысл тот же - загрузить внутреннюю подножку и разгрузить переднее колесо. Но выполнялось это все на прямой внутренней ноге стоящей мыском на подножке и согнутой внешней.
