So to confirm, apart from the Trials Clubs or private property, there aren't many places you can ride? Say if i have an early finish at work and a short arvo to kill, it wouldn't be like chucking my registered enduro bike in the back of the ute and driving 40 min to the Glasshouse mtns for a few hours riding?

I've been into trials bikes since 1973. At 59 years old I just bought a Gas Gas TXT 300. I don't actually compete in trials as there are no clubs within 150 miles of me. I just love to play ride. Logs, small rocks, steps. I just wish trials would become more popular in America. I'd love to see more dealerships stock trials bikes

if you intend to use a trials bike to rip up and down trails often they can over-heat quickly which can cause the engine to seize. The radiators are small compared to an enduro bike so be wary of this. So use the trials bike like it is intended. If you like ripping up and down trails or tearing up the side of mountains you should chose an enduro bike

So glad to see a normal sized person on a trials bike.. I'm 6'2" and 300# Larger than normal.. but looks like great exercise.. possible lose some weight

been riding beta rev3 in some form the last 18 years.. happy being just a clubman.. but i have gotten a montesa 349 ... which nobody seems to use.. but... i need a new challenge the modern bikes are superb..but ... an ol twinshock on the club route is good fun..its not going to kill ya... and it feels a lot more satisfying cleaning a section on an old bike ..

It’s good fun on the old twinshocks. I started on a OSSA 250 when I was around 12 - 13 then a Fantic 240, got as far as 2nd place in our regional championship. Made riding a modern trials bike feel like a dream! Haven’t ridden trials for ages but it helped a lot when I started on my enduro bike.

back after 4 years from my previous comment....after 15 or so years riding beta Rev3's even a rev 4t.... i need a fresh challenge... i have bought myself a 1980 montesa 349 .. .. its a new ballgame but i needed it.... i rode a local trial to get the feel etc.... its going to take some time to re-adjust because im not so young anymore.... but when i clean a section on twinshock its feels 10x better than a modern bike ......

I live near an old railway embankment. Just a long line of high and steep dirt/mud trails which can sometimes get vertical at the top. And the mad buggers fly around it all on motorbikes, it's epic!
