@@georgealvarez1195Even that is messed up because Jinder was in the finals to crown the first NXT Champion. He wasn't an NXT project but took the time to come back down from the main roster to support it.
@@jaime3465Wait, really? Huh. You learn something new everyday! I honestly believed that the penmanship was mostly- if not all- him. His recent run?
He definitely had a lot of potential. Could've easily made him a great heel if they didn't made him full "INDIAN". I'm Indian from India, his gimmick would've worked in the 80's. I don't think gimmicks based on nationalities can work anymore. They signed the Great Khali very late and they even fumbled him.
I agree nationality gimmicks dont really work as well, last great nationality gimmick was back with Rusev. Basing a whole character around where they are “from” is kind of lazy anyway.
Jinder didn't really have that edge to put himself over. The company can only take him so far - the rest he must do himself. Not to mention the foreign thing is just old now, but they keep typecasting him to it. Khali was just not a wrestler to begin with. You can't turn 'zero to hero', and can only protect him so much.
I feel for Jinder. He was a pretty good heel champion in the day. It was cool seeing the Bollywood Boys aligned with him, or whatever they were called. Then, he disappeared for a long time then re-emerged just to get let go shortly afterwards. It’s probably for the best, they’ve not been using him so hopefully he can reinvent himself or find new life whether it’s in the indies, Japan or TNA. AEW wouldn’t know what to do with him.
I actually love Jinder and I'm sad he got released. I wasn't crazy about him in the 3MB days but his championship reign really helped him come out of his shell as a performer
I do genuinely think Jinder can market himself as a top star. His promo skill is OK, he can perform well in the ring but his character work has been phenomenal for WWE, he can definitely make himself a star in other promotions.
I think I never ever in my life heard a Wrestler give a shout out to the person who wrote his promo for him I wonder how many so called "gods on the mic" get their promo wrote for them by someone else
They could've did alot of good things with jinder he good on the mic and in the ring he took seth to his limit in their world title match and his Twitter beef with khan really put him in the spot light wwe should've definitely ran with it with a huge push for jinder
Nah, Jinder made that stupid foreign heel promo work, but he should get the credit for that. It wasn’t the writing that was good, it was how he delivered it.
For all the talk of where he should wrestle next, I’m thinking ‘Forget wrestling……Why not Bollywood ?’ He’s a muscular 6-foot-5 guy who can talk really well across more than 1 language. Nathan Jones has 20 film credits to his name. Could Jinder have a bigger film/TV career than Nathan ?
That guy with the glasses is GOATed for that. That’s way too relatable. Half of the times these companies be teasing the biggest signings ever & then they give you Gillberg or James Ellsworth or someone that wouldn’t draw especially after we got our hopes up so high
I mean, that's on y'all, not the company. They did say a former WWE champion but didn't specify who without any hints. It literally could have been literally anyone.. from Kurt Angle to Bob Backlund to RVD.
Gotta excited for him during both the Rock and Rollins confrontations. Disappointed they barely used him otherwise and now he's gone from the WWE. Really felt they needed another top level heel then to balance all the top faces.

Once again, CM punk told no lies. He told the same story about working alongside The Rock, meeting him in his hotel room with Brian Gerowitz and being handed his lines without any input from him. I guess Jinder didn’t have the same kind of pull to fight it like CM Punk did
Honestly its such a shame this "Great Unifier" gimmick he was presenting didn't get any time or care after the match with Seth. It was a pure heat magnet that told an absolute truth - the best kind of heel.
His promo that night was really good the only part that was bad was when he told the fans that they just booed the national anthem in Punjabi but only like 5 people booed and no one else cared
I remember joking around saying Jinder was coming back and I remember being so happy I was actually right 😅
