- This was a pretty interesting project. I followed a tutorial on how to program polyrhythm notes in FL Studio, though I found a much easier way to do it (I'll upload a tutorial later).
This is, of course, inspired by Virtual Riot's "I heard you like polyrhythms" video where he did a very similar thing, although for much longer (roughly 8 minutes), whereas mine is only 2 and a half minutes.
I also did some tempo automation here and there, cause why not? Lol.
Tutorial can be found here:

Thanks everyone for 10K views. This is crazy, I've never had this many views before, and I feel so proud! Thank you so much everyone!
Also there is a tutorial on the polyrhythm melody up on my channel!

20k now! and it deserves it for sure cus this sounds so good 🙂
@@ScarIsBad this is amazing, I never would've thought I would be hit by the algorithm
everyone's talking about the polyrhythm but i love the backings
agree
Make sense!
I'm also from undertale
@@FridgeTheAnimatior and i'm from 2hu
Is that sans undertale?
this what granny hears when i mash the keyboard pretending i know what im doing
reall

0:44 amazing fill there!!!
Yesss thank you!
2:02 it's incredible how order is born from chaos!
there's no chaos everything is calculated
i mean its not really chaos, by definition a polyrhythm is pretty strictly organized, its just not an order our brains are able to pick out very well
Kane Chronicles
It's more of the other way around
prepare thyself
I'll admit I was a little bit skeptical but this is freakin awesome
true
when you love advanced music theory but also love digital music production:
Aphex Twin
the polyrhythm sounds like when I would play one sample with different speeds at the same time
Yo wait it really does
@@SpringySpring04 lol
I mean that's what a polyrhythm is
I love this technique. It takes a decent sample to a complex melody, you can almost finish beats with drums after doing that.
@@ninjireal true, you can make some super complex stuff!
adjusting thr tempo to the polyrhythms actually crazy
I love the tempo change in between that was so smooth.
This is how artists start their songs when you know the album is about to hit different.
that sound so good bro you deserve more views
Thank you so much
this is so cool, love your bravery in creating a tempo env to make some parts sound nicer. great work
Man i just cant escape this trend oh my god
This bops hollyly, also, it sounds like minecraft music with synth and inserted through a muffler
i see more people using tempo changes, and im all here for it.
DAMN those bpm changes are snazzy
0:30 gives me vibes of minecraft
cant wait for that tutorial, this looks really fun and interesting!
Hey thanks! Yeah tutorial is up now!
i love how you interpreted it, the way everything lines up is so cool
Tempo change approaching 1:18 and transition right after are both phenomenal
Interesting technique and video, cheers from Germany
Danke!!
Genuinely the most creative version of this trend I've seen. Incredible job man you're suuuper underrated!!!
Thanks!!
Wait this is pretty neat :O
I gotta try this
Sounds sick btw! :D
i love it‼️especially love that bass
This played out so much better than I thought, I love it
i'd add this in my playlist
Damn love those fills such a great idea.
This is so sick, love it!!!
Love it as much as the other ones(slowing down was fun)😊
Yeah, tempo automation can be really cool sometimes!
1:19 oh gotdamn
Yep there's a synchronocity there
Sick bro 🔥 You’re underrated asf wth
Sounds awsome
This is awesome, Spring, truly.
Thank you
Also cool, you commented exactly 53 minutes ago when I replied to this. Name of my favorite album is Retrospective 53 Minutes, so that's cool
@@SpringySpring04 That is cool, very nice.
Good luck in the industry, fellow musician.
This was so fire!!!!!! I wish I knew how to compose like that
How you turn a simple trend into a real beat is incredible 🎉
that transition in pace between 1:15 and 1:35 had me on a dopamine overdose jesus fucking christ
It's very satisfying
woah this is really chill
Thanks!!
insanely creative and cool
this is so sick!!
On the trial version of fl studio is nuts good work 🙏
ngl sometimes it sounds amazing sometimes it doesn't but the song other than the polyrythm is fire asf!!
Sounds pretty cool
Yuyuko making bangers
Truuue
changing the tempo make a good vibes
this is incredible bruhhhh
It's a cool track and I'm waiting for you to release the mastered 2MIX!
That so cool good luck
This goes hard
I am not sure how long this took you but this is so amazing!!! You deserve more attention :)
Thanks! I think it took me about 2-3 hours after finding a method to program the polyrhythm in the piano roll
The polyrhythm trend is good, but I need the misery x [insert arbitrary number here] songs trend…
Kinda confused what that supposed to mean but ok 👍
Amazing
I enjoyed that.
the metric modulation is crazy lol
elegancko!
How did you manage to make it sound much better than Virtual Riot’s version? This is amazing!
wtf this is awesome
fire!!
sounds pretty similar to virtual riot's version
The virtual riot one was 8 minutes that felt like 3 minutes and this was 3 minutes that felt like 45 seconds
ok why does this go hard
Because I said so
this actually made my ears cry what
Wdym
@@SpringySpring04 (it means it sounds beautiful)

damnn this go crazy
If I was on MDMA right now, I'd ASCEND
peak❤
I love how the polyrhythm* sounds so good and mixed with other beats
(Edit: mispelled rhythm 😅)
I was working on something like this but just the polyrhythms. So hard to set up properly.
Hey, you might have already seen it by now, but I do have a tutorial up that shows how to easily make polyrhythms like this. 😁
I heard you like polyrhythms but fantasy game
(Mythic)
oaaaaaaaaww this is somewhat a bop 😭✨
do u mind if I use this audio for creating a custom level in a rhythm game? 🙏
Make sure to give credit!
@@SpringySpring04 definitely will ❤
Nice beats
Virtual Riot? Is that you? lol
Unfortunately not
This sounds so nice bro, which bass and chords did you use? They sound great as well
I don't have the project file because I was using the trial version of FL at the time, but I believe the bass was a filtered saw or triangle sound. I don't really remember.
The chords is a pretty simple pluck sound, where the low pass filter frequency is modulated by the velocity of the notes, made in Vital. Kind of a similar sound to the polyrhythm melody's pluck sound, which I showed how to make in my next video, a tutorial on the polyrhythm programming
@@SpringySpring04 Thx bro, i will check your other video
whaaaaaaat amazing :P
clinically critically underrated. WEEEAAOOOOOO
In my FL Studio, I can only play with Black notes like, C# D# E# F# and I don't know why.
In the Piano Roll there's a button on the top-left of the piano roll editor that looks like a sheet music note. If it's highlighted, it will lock your notes to a specific scale, and will not lock if it's gray. Also there's no such note as E# (that's just F)
how are y'all generating these polyrythmic fractal thingies? i could write up a standalone app that does it for me but it appears something like that is already out there without my knowledge
I have a tutorial up, it's set in the video on the end screen on this video. I'm also curious in the standalone app you're talking about, how would you code that?
@@SpringySpring04 standalone or plugin would be possible. a key selector, a parameter for how many octaves and then the fun part, controls for how the polyrhythms should behave. most importantly how many bars it takes to loop, but i also got some more specific ideas that would be too hard to accomplish manually
Nice )
Please make this a full song
it IS a full song though
its like 2 minutes 46 sec
Even then, I don't have the project files anymore sadly
I'm so sorry! I honestly thought the song began when the other instruments came through. Anyways, I'll have to live with what I've got. I'm proper exited for future project. Subscribed!
@@CAT3_V1 No worries!! Thanks for your compliments!
woooow sick
nice song, is for sleep ?
minecraft 2 trailer soundtrack?
Wow
better than what i can do
I'm sure with enough music theory knowledge, anybody could pull it off! (It's really quite simple in that regard)
Bro i feel like im playing some kind of indie game like some high graphic shi
could i ask how did you make this?
Tutorial on pinned comment and description!
Would loove to try this in a DJ set. Any place i could get a .wav file? :)
Unfortunately I only publish my songs to CZcams. But you can source it as you wish with youtube to mp3 or wav converters, I suppose?
Update: I've uploaded the song to a public folder on my google drive: drive.google.com/file/d/1qDTVpqaxw3vPoVb8H_HDS2fSgi_INXkU/view?usp=drive_link
@@SpringySpring04 Awesome! Really appreciate this. As you may already know, sound quality mattes a lot more when songs are slowed down to to beatmatch different bpms during djing. I'll send you a message if I put this in a published mix. Thanks!🙏
please tell me how you got that bass
I don't have the FLP for the song, but it's just a filtered saw with some EQ
Someone please tell me some artists that do this
Yuyuko pfp, subbed
Based
What pluck did you use?
I showed how to make it in the tutorial, see the description for that. It's just a simple sound made in Vital
Koraii - empress ahh beat
no idea what that is
@@SpringySpring04 it's a song that kinda sounds like this
GEOMETRY DASH SONG HUH
its so zaebis'
2:03
wow its not trash
epic
Bro, what bass are you using?
Oh shoot I actually don't remember 💀
It might be a saw wave with a very simple low pass filter. I don't have the project file so I can't confirm
@@SpringySpring04 thanks!
this sound very familiar to something
omg its C# minor commenting on my video fr fr
