- Simplification is about finding and drawing only the important lines. If you can put down only limited strokes, which strokes you you put?

I never thought about breaking down shapes like this. I like how you force yourself to think about the important shapes in the composition... thank you for sharing such a detailed tutorial. :-)
Highly original and something we all need to create perspective. It's a good exercise which I've tried with bricks, trees, railway lines and buildings going off into the distance.
Thanks for making this video! I get so fixated on details that I forget that subjects from far away have less details to draw.
I love this video for sure because with me working on my cartoons lately I've had to simplify a ton of stuff lately and I've FINALLY created my first original charecter of myself and redrew it at least 200 times
I may have said this before- but you’re of the best teachers on CZcams👍 No joke. (Great vid btw)
Amazing content 😊 Very down to earth explanations, clear usage of words, clarity on the concept and simple strokes that kept me engrossed through out the video and gives everyone an enthusiasm and positivity to start or to better themselves.
This is such a useful thing to have in mind when drawing anything. Really great video😊
I requested this topic some months back. (Have watched it multiple times). Thank you for making this video, it really helps when you go through your thought process.
Thank you for this tutorial Teoh! I’ve been striving to have a minimalist art style this is very enlightening. 👍

I have been struggling to simplify, you have helped me in less than 20 minutes, thanks.
I love your organization and thought process on this.
Thanks :-)
I have a problem with the "repeat"... However, I am doing a lot better in the last few weeks. Done the same value studies several times, and each one is improved. Well, with a notable exception where my cat decided to help!
Very helpful information on learning ways to simplifying details. I will be keeping these in mind.
Thank you, Teoh! This is VERY helpful!
Excellent tutorial. Thanks.

Nice tutorial -- thanks for posting! I'd like to suggest you to make something similar with pen & ink and watercolor.
Another very didactic video Teoh ! Very instructive, everybody could sketch that 👍🏻 thank you
Teoh, do you know this product ? Pentel ZBNR-6 Boite de 10 Pinceaux poils avec Manche Imputrescible www.amazon.fr/dp/B00CR79PAA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_hnh4BbWJCB2YG
@@isabellecade277 Eve Bolt has tried those and likes them.
Thank you so very much Teoh...so so valuable❤🙏❤🙏❤🙏
THANK YOU!!!!🌼
Thanks for the good video. Another approach, I think, could be to start with a very small drawing and then gradually draw larger and only add details that contributes to the drawing. That would be harder probably. Your way is better but the way I describe might be less laborious and I would probably skip a few steps.
Hi Teoh!! Again, thank you for the tutorial! Just curious, are your patreon lessons meant for those with some experience or do you also offer subject matters for total beginners?
The videos on Patreon are mostly the extended normal speed videos of all the timelapse videos I've created. czcams.com/users/teohycsearch?query=timelapse
Thanks
Cool.

Hi Teoh, I would like to take some brush pens and fine liners on a trip. Can you tell me if it is OK to take them on a plane? (I was wondering if the cabin pressure pushes ink out of these mostly disposable pens). I have microns, plus tombow, kuretake, and pentel brush pens, and more.
They should be fine to bring on the plane. For brush pens, I recommend keeping them upright all the time so that there's no chance of the ink flowing out due to pressure changes. OR bring empty brush pens and refill them from ink bottles after the flight.
Teoh Yi Chie Thanks so much! :)
I've taken brush pens and fountain pens. They're fine. I just keep them upright and stick them in a plastic bag just in case.
Btw i took a bunch of stuff and did keep it all upright, points on top, and everything survived both flights. Thx :)
Thanks, Teoh. You give back so much. I really enjoy your videos. I will try to support you but being disabled, I'm on a fixed income so $ is tight. What type of pen and paper did you use? Take care. Thanks again for all your help!
For cheap pens, just get those affordable fountain pens and bottled inks for refill. As for paper, for pen and ink drawing, any paper is fine as long as it is acid free so they don't turn yellow in the future.
Just perfect. Thanks a lot for sharing these skills with us. What type of ink you use?
Noodlers Bulletproof ink
What pen are you using here is it the twsbi eco?
It's a Pelikan M200 fountain pen
👍
