You know, I read Prince Mush was planned to be an optional boss for the first game. They finally did it. And a whacka boss, it's finally getting revenge
Whacka pretty much was originally planned as optional boss like Mush but scrapped
Glad to see it having fun this time
It seems they went out of their way to restore some beta content and music scrapped from the original. It is pretty cool.
whacka was a scrapped boss from 64, so it's really cool to see it in fruition
Yo
@@whackaB It’s him
Everyone won’t shut up about mush, but whaka has an 87 damage attack. That’s nuts.
Yeah it is, but that dash combo mush did was a total of 110 damage
Mush can deal more damage, has 5 times more defense, and can dodge. It's not even close
@@aarong1092You could also just get a lot of red Whacka Bumps, 4 of those are already stronger than Mush
What makes Whacka easier is that you don’t NEED to Superguard in order to win. Koops/Flurrie/Vivian’s defensive options all can help you whether the storm of Whacka’s attacks while you can attack next turn even if you can’t superguard well.
Prince Mush was much harder because you NEED to be able to superguard or you won’t be able to attack him.
@@Eldoofus That's only with bad luck, though. I've fought whacka twice now, and I've only had 2 red bumps on the stage at any given time. Might just be my rng, but mush hits his kill move much more consistently.
I love that Prince Mush no only gets his chance to shine after being imprisoned and sapped of energy but a Whacka, the buttmonkey of the classic Paper Mario trilogy, can actually fight and be a worthy adversary.
The cutest bossfight in this game
ITS BEEN 20 YEARS!
BUT WE CAN FINALLY FIGHT AGAINST PRINCE MUSH
wait we couldn't before ?
@@misscubegdyeah, in the original game you couldn’t fight him
@@addisonjudah ohh okay thank ya
He was planned to be an optional boss, but the idea got scrapped for some reason
@@allecsgaut8161time and issues
Rather than creating a new character and making it an additional boss, It's great that they made the characters from the original work fightable.
pretty sure these were scrapped bosses, so thats cool too
I stopped for a second before I realized who Prince Mush was.
And then I REMEMBERED. And then I DREADED because odds are, he could throw hands with the BEST of them!
Flashbacks of the Master toad...
He lost to a weaker Grubba as Grubba fought and absorbed him long ago before Mario showed up who knows how many fighters he absorbed till after that
@@alexninten8818tbh though apparently prince mush ate one of rawk hawk’s poisoned cakes and that’s why he lost against rawk hawk then got his energy sucked that’s why prince mush hates cake
@@PokemonRules333how do you know this?
@@benjaminsitler5380 I thought I heard a CZcams say that
I was honestly still hoping for that fight with Beldam and Marilyn in Riverside Station.
Wait you can fight them there?
@@JugularJohn no
No that wasn't a fight but a scene that explains that the Smorg were conjoured by Belldam to fight Mario.
@@vipolux8356wait when were you able to see that? i just found the smorg but never saw beldam or marylin in riverside station
@ChickenMcKicken that was supposed to be planed scene, but was left out.
Imagine, by not using superguard and danger mario not being a thing Wacka could easily deal 30 Damage minimum depending how many times it's hit.
actually up to 14 attacks, and if all of them are red vs. no defense boosts..
The dps can actually be crazy if you let it just happen.
Both Whacka and Prince Mush could easily dish out over 100 damage given the right circumstances....
Whacka could even pass 200 or even 300 damage in fact if it's all Red bumps it uses....
...Holy shit...Now I can see why he is the first Champion. Prince Mush. even stronger than Rawk Hawk.
and he must've been training with. or is related to The Master from the first Paper Mario game apparently because damn, Prince Mush is a fighter!
Remember Rawk Hawk had to POISON mush so he’d be an easy fight!
Yeah, he’s way stronger than the Rawk Hawk, not to mention he has way more health. Plus, he’s invincible in his third stance and nothing can hurt him except superguards. Plus, he can land multiple hits while in his third stance that can do as much as 23 damage per hit.
Not to mention his ultimate stance. This makes him invincible, meaning NOTHING can damage him, except superguard. This would make him even stronger than Bowser back when he used the star rod to become invincible.
@@onemariobro I get Rawk Hawk used the cake but how did Grubba get hold of him?
Thank you for not putting the new ones directly on the thumbnail. It's appreciated as an old player wanting to be surprised! I'll be back to watch once I've knocked them out myself.
I feel like that was throwing shade at one particular person who also tends to do all bosses videos…
@@DenisCreatorBreakerthe one pokemon guy I think Mixeli does that all the time it’s so annoying
Well, that's not the case anymore.

Ok, Prince Mush (or just a toad) going super saiyan is just beautiful.
I am just cool like that!
He’s not the first to do it… 😉
Thanks For this! Love your work ❤❤❤❤
The poor whacka that took itself out 😂rip
ain't no way rawk hawk beat prince mush without cheating
Poisoned cake lol
@scottnito2640 Yeah, was about to say description from Tattle says he has a dislike for Cake, and considering what happened during your tenure at Glitz Arena, I think we can understand what happened.
I am not eating cake again🤮
For sure. He’s actually a coward. That Lakitu in the juice place was right. He’ll do anything to win, even if it means playing dirty. He poisoned Mario’s cake and made security lock him in a minor league locker room. During my most recent save file, I decided not to eat the poisoned cake, so Shellshock ate it instead. I guess Rawk Hawk inadvertently caused Shellshock to hate cake as a result. I bet he poisoned a cake for Prince Mush instead.
@@scottnito2640 Is that how Grubba got him too?
Bro used the ProsafiaGaming thumbnail without spoiling!?!!?!?
THANK YOU!!!!!
Mush and Whacka r legit steroid variants of the final bosses, they may not have as much hp as Bonetail, but they hit absurdly rough, especially Mush, master tips: MAKE SURE U BRING KOOPS TO SHELL UP IF EITHER OF THEM HAS DRASTIC ATTACKS COMING UP(Amped up combo for the former and many bumps for the latter)
Whacka did like 27 damage on ONE red bump and it can have multiple....
And I heard you can see Whacka have up to 14 bumps, so you do the math there.
Your first video I ever saw was a paper Mario color splash walkthrough and so when I see a video of yours I always think of that
Do you have to fight whacka every time you hit one now or is it just this one?
only that one all the others just hides away
Once u whack the Whacka at Keelhawl Key the 8th time, it'll forever disappear from that spot, then the ultra rambitious one spawns in Bonetail's lair if u vanquished both the latter and Shadow Queen, can be fought repeatedly but only drops the Gold Whacka Bump on the 1st clear.
@@friendlybendy2070 ok thanks. I was just wondering.
Does anyone know what is the best spot to farm coins please? I need help
I gone thru the pit 8 times already. everytime I finish, I get 1200-1400 only from floors 50-99
Who would have thought i could battle Whacks outside of a Mod? Truly a Time to be alive!
BB is truly one of the best your videos never disappoint thanks for the great work keep them coming been following you for years now
But Prince Mush is a good brother of Jolene.
Please don't hurt her brother.
He's also a professional fighter who sees Mario as a worthy opponent. He'd no doubt take great offense if you took it easy on him.
Makes me think Jolene could probably fight too.
Hey, he's in the ring to win the championship back. May the best man win
"Please don't hurt her brother"
BRO, I CAN'T, HE'S TOO SWOLE
@@HealerType0079 If Jolene can fight, I wonder if she can beat Rawk Hawk. If she can beat Rawk Hawk, that makes her a better champion than Rawk Hawk.
That Danger Mario setup is insane! You sure are skilled with Safeguarding.
16:48 was perfectly on beat
THANK YOU NINTENDO! I was hoping to fight Prince Mush as a secret boss. When I played the original I was bummed we couldn't fight him
Holy wow I love the fight theme for the 8:00 one
toontown pfp spotted
Very good I was expecting the prince mush, amazing, even though I really like Rawk Hawk
19:56 was just so damn lucky.
Dude ain't no way they made Whacka a boss, this looks SOOOO inspired by Paper Mario Master Quest romhack, it is so crazy Prince Mush also has similar moves (and attack power) to that of the Master from said romhack too, but even if not, GREAT REMAKE!!!
exactly what I was thinking. maybe perhaps intelligent systems actually did base it off of Paper Mario Master Quest.
Best remake cause I’m there!
Whacka-what?! Whackas can *fight?!*
Heck, the fight implies that Whackas barely even mind getting whacked, and that they just wander off for a while after being depleted of bumps. Which I’m glad about, I didn’t take the bumps of the one in Paper Mario 64 due to fearing killing it.
@@JacksonVoet Curious if that's just the English script trying to make it seem less like animal abuse. "See guys Whacka likes being hit with a hammer, it's ok!" In every other game it clearly doesn't like being whacked and they always make a point of how they're hunted to near extinction.
I've just noticed mario has his Charles martinet voice, truly a perfect game
He also had the same voice on the GameCube version, THINK BEFORE YOU TYPE
@@pyroflare7774They could have changed it, like in the mario 64 ds microgame from warioware move it
Prince Mush’s fight is epic!
What's the music like if you equip the Nostalgic Tunes badge while fighting Prince Mush and Whacka?
Anyone know?
it just plays the new tracks
@@brucepoop47 Cool, thanks. 👍
It got deleted
I don’t own the game, but from what I’ve heard it’s the exact same
If you have the nostalgic tunes badge equipped it plays old music as well as new music that’s been added in situations where there wasn’t music before.
My head cannon is that it was Prince Mush who first encountered Whacka in the Pit and reported the sighting to RDM. I mean, other than Luigi, who else is gonna capable of making it that far in the pit?
Prince Mush not liking cake in the Tattle Log is a nice call back, probably implying that Rawk Hawk did the same thing with Mush as he did with Mario.
I love how Mush has a dislike for cake, given Hawk tries to anonymously offer you a slice of poisoned cake.
Ok so the Atomic boo has a King Boo voice on 3:32 eh not bad.
I love Prince Mush on 8:00! 😍😍😍
Prince Mush was rusty and Whacka was just playing around...
...now imagine if Mush was at his prime and Whacka being serious.
Freaking Prince Mush was just going full on Super Saiyan on us like... bro o.o, not just SSJ1, but 2 and 3 as well with Ultra Instinct put in for good measure lol
These secret bosses are SCARIER than in the original version of The Thousand YEAR DOOR!!! 😊
You know you're in for a bad time when a giant skeleton dragon is out classed by a mushroom and a mole.
These post game bosses are more easily beaten with aggressive badge point builds. They have high atk and hp so having a high hp build just increases your margin for error since your atk will be relatively low.
For those struggling against Prince Mush, superguard against his attacks and he won’t be able to dodge your attacks. It also brings his defense to 0 for 1 turn. His jump stance lets him evade your hammer and other ground based attacks, but jump and other air based attacks can hit him. His side stance lets him evade jump and other air based attacks, so use hammer or other ground based attacks instead. His ultimate stance lets him block ALL of your attacks, even pierce attacks. The only way to damage him at that point is to superguard his ultimate stance attacks. This will completely negate his defense, allowing you to deal damage before he goes into his ultimate stance again.
So wait, if you can't eat the Golden Bump then what's it for?
Bragging rights I assume, like Prince Mush’s belt
It’s one of the trophies you need for the 100% completion award
@@ng_canadian You mean the thing that turns Mario gold?
A completion badge to show you beat a “super boss”
What badges are you using? How are you getting 20+ damage on power bounce? There is only one in the whole game if I'm not mistaken.
Danger Mario strats.
12:10 “And this…is to go…even FURTHER BEYOND!”
Ended the fight with Prince Mush with Koops as your partner, then the scene that follows has Goombella as the partner instead. Interesting.
Should always check what goombella had to say before fighting the boss
Dang Prince Mush going Super Saiyan
@BearBear In your opinion, what's the best way to level Mario?
Amazee Dazees in the Twilight Trail give out the most Star Points. Just keep farming them if you feel underleveled. In the later levels on the Pit of 100 Trials you also have a chance of running into them. They are vulnerable to Clock Out and Sleepy Stomp if you can't take them out in one go or don't feel comfortable doing Peril strats.
Victory Lapping the Pit of 100 Trials.
Mostly BP until at least 60, 20 to 30 FP and the REST all in HP IF not using the Danger Mario setup you want at least 50 to HP BEFORE fighting the NEW bosses I SUCK as Super Guarding so Danger Mario is OUT if you can't do any and like Mario RPG SNES where I can barely HIT even 2 super jumps in a row it would be the SAME for Multi Jump/Bonk attacks here.
I have a question.. what are the 10 new indics in the remake ? Normaly it's the original it's 124.. and now we have 134..so i kinda want to know.
Awesomeness video could you please do sonic and the secret rings 100% please thanks ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I appreciate that you censored the new bosses in the thumbnail
I heard that there’s a Shadoo boss for going through the pit a second time
Gus is pm necessary to defeat if u wanna progress plus he's out in the open and doesn't have any requirements to fight
After fighting Prince Mush… I understand why he’s the champion
does the nostalgia badge change the music for the two new bosses
No, in situations where the track is brand new, it only plays the new track.
I'm actually confused on why letting Wacka attacked himself, when it was at lower health?
Because Whacka's AI is to use Bumps to either heal itself or throw them for damage. It's based on how many hits he recieves. If there are no bumps, he has a self damaging earthquake.
@@chillstoneblakeblast3172Can Ms Mowz steal bumps that spawn during the battle?
@@montecristosmith2343No. Also you cant blow them away with hurricane, I tried it.
Is there documentation on how to trigger these?? Specifically how to get the email for 100 pits secret?
How did you unlock prince mush and whacka?
Goombella: "Did you here me mario? DONT hit the whackas!
Mario: (Whacks the whacka)
Mario 1 nano second later: "Why do i hear boss music"
18:33 shy guy: hey! that's cheating when you use a big shell to block attacks! *gets onstage and then goes and pulls a rope*
The only confusing thing, is how Prince Mush is both stronger than Macho Grubba as well as a majority, but not all of the fuel for his transformation. Seriously speaking, if Prince Mush was an unlockable teammate in the post game, I would have rocked with that more, because his HP count and damage output here should effortlessly trounce Macho Grubba, even if Grubba lands every attack he makes.
Man i Love the final boss theme for the mole boss battle as well as the fight itself it's completely original unlike mario rpgs post game bosses imo so Lame besides culex x of course, overall the mole fights probably my favorite in the remake keep up the good work.
“Mole”
@@ethanhawksley9097 Uhuh
how dare you disrespect whacka by calling him a mole
You surely mean whacka
I'm confused, how come you let Wakka kill himself instead of finishing him off?
Probably for the fun of watching it kill itself?
How do you get the email for the wakko fight
Those last two will definitely force you to stay on top of your superguards....
Would honestly say they're both tougher than Bonetail.
I dunno... It took me two attempts at bonetail and shadow queen both, but I got mush and whacka attempt #1
Mush fights clean and fair - no disgusting tricks up his sleeves, just learn his timing, super guard, and he is down to 0 defense.
Whacka? Stall a few turns to heal and appeal. I spammed supernova.
No, I didn't use badges during any of my playing of the game... Except power smash. Oh, and l emblem, since it was a requirement for a trouble. Yes I still collected them all, just... Can't use many of 'em!
@@alexleo-wolf4339 mush and whacka are actually more punishing if you don't learn their mechanics.
at least bonetail and shadow queen give you more leeway if you get hit. the other two need you to have pretty high amounts of HP if you miss your superguards, assuming they don't just combo you anyway
@@DarkFrozenDepths ah. I came in with like 175-180 HP. Turns out I was just over prepared.
How do you trigger the prince mush fight?
You have to beat Chapter 3, fulfill a trouble that Jolene is, wait for a message from her thanking you for solving the trouble, wait for a message from Prince Mush, and after all that you can go to the Glitz Pit and challenge an exhibition match against him.
I remember Gus and Deadtail are in the original version. Is Atomic Boo also in the original version? To make Atomic Boo come out, do the hammer spin on the boos, and it seems like that would work on the original version.
The atomic boo is in the original version
@@peksioart6706 I did read that I have to have the ultra hammer when doing the hammer spin on the boos to make Atomic Boo come out. I did read that there was going to be an Atomic Dark Boo. Someone did think that he was going to be in Poshley Sanctum as a boss for the sixth crystal star. I could see that, but then that probably would be to make the super hammer spin work on the boos in Creepy Steeple, and do that before you have access to Doopliss. The sixth crystal star is the only crystal star in the game to not have a boss, but a boss was probably planned there, and there are dark boos there. I could see that I would have to defeat each dark boo or walk up to the crystal star stand to make the dark boo group appear, but the problem is that Mario does not have the ultra hammer, so it was scrapped, and Atomic Boss would be a secret boss in Creepy Steeple, and the ultra hammer spin has to be done on the group of boos to make Atomic Boo appear. Someone did post that he was supposed to be on the fiftieth floor on the chamber of 100 trials. That could be possible, but then they found out to be too tough having to fight like two boss characters in the Chamber of 100 Trials. The Chamber of 100 Trials is supposed to be tough. I wonder if they do care about it being too tough to take on two bosses. Maybe they saw no reason to have two bosses in there, so he was removed. I still wonder why they did not put a boss in for the sixth crystal star in the remake. I remember the GBA remake of Donkey Kong Country 2 added a boss in the sixth world, but I did read a few people criticized the idea, thinking the original idea was better, but I did read there was supposed to be a boss in the SNES version, but they never got it in.
The ultimate boss (and one of the final dark star bosses): a WHACKA
Can you fight atomic boo if you didnt get him the first time?
I wish prince mush had the master’s theme from the n74 or a remix of it, just a niche tribute to the og paper mario secret boss
Don't fight guss to early... He's a pain... The upside is he's nice and will tell you to run if you are not strong enough to fight him...
I mean you can like the guy in the video but i don't recommend it if you are only good at normal blocking...
Why was it that, towards the end, he didn't take out Whacka himself? Why did he wait for him to take himself out?
Damm prince mush is broken!!!
Imagine if they included dark atomic boo aswell it would have been crazy
How do you fight Prince Mush
Wait. So who's Enemy Number 10 that is missing in my Save
Why.... would you put the secret bosses (the new ones) in the thumbnail? Like what would possess you to do that
LITERALLYY 😭
I think he had them censored initially but updated the thumbnail after some time passed
why he doesn't attack whacka when he only has one life point left ?
I only died on two bosses
Hooktail and prince mush twice
I haven't fought wacka yet nor the giant boo
Bonetail was a joke
Update finished the bosses and nope no more deaths though i did need a life mushroom for wacka
ok so a couple of things BROOOOOO the prince mush and whacka fight were crazy. bruh what does the shiny whacka bump do? Lastly YOU CAN GO OVER THE 999 COINS?!?!?
So Prince Mush is effectively ‘do Superguard or cannot hurt me,’ right?
Pretty much. Jump stance: hammer and ground attacks are dodged. Side moving stance: jump and air attacks are dodged. Ultimate stance, all attacks deal 0 damage unless you superguard.
Superguard is only required when he has below half HP.
Isn't Atomic Boo just Bigger Boo from Yoshi's Island or are they different?
The design is based off Bigger Boo but the concept of a bunch of boos combining might be inspired by Boolossus from Luigi's Mansion
@@montecristosmith2343 Oh, ok.
Darn was hoping we might get a secret Chestnut King boss this time around 😅 anyone else wish we got to play Luigis version? I love the tall stories and Princess Eclair lol
Actually in a way you sort of have one. Chestnut king is actually a mistranslation kind of. Goombas are called chestnuts in Japan cause that’s what they resemble. The chestnut king is supposed to be the Goomba King from the first game. The joke is that Luigi’s ultimate enemy is actually just the first tutorial boss from the first game
for some reason in my game i cant fight prince mush in the post game, he's just not in the arena where he should be, can anyone help me out why that is?
Keep solving troubles from the trouble center until he emails you then he'll be available to fight in the glitz pit after that.
On 8:00, that's going to be my favorites!
These new bosses need to be ported to the original gamecube game.
Why didn't you just finish the Whacka off instead of waiting?
What triggers the Prince Mush fight?
Beat the main villain
First you have to complete Jolene’s trouble in the trouble center. Eventually, you’ll get mail from Mush telling you to challenge him. After that, you can fight him in an exhibition match.
how do we fight Whacka? he's literally the last thing in my tattle log I'm guessing @.@
Get all 8 Whacka Bumps for the entire playthrough. Beat the main story. Defeat Bonetail. Read an email about Whacka being in the Pit of 100 Trials (takes 30 minutes to show up once other conditions are met first).
@danielcraig8686 thanks for the reply, I slowly figured it had to do with the bumps so I went an got them an yeah about 30 minutes of grinding afterwards I got the email to head down an take him on 👌
This raises the question of how Grubba beat Prince Mush if he’s that hardcore after getting drained for so long
Grubba cheated. He used the crystal star to beat Prince Mush. He absorbed him inside the crystal star.
@@bennel3588 yeah but how did he not drain the Great Gonzales then? Even with cheating I’m calling hax
@@Skullhawk13 That's a good point! The crystal star probably could handle more characters. Did Grubba just think he was going to beat them easily? Maybe there was a time Prince Moosh was asleep, and then he stuck Prince Moosh inside it, because when he's asleep, he would not be aware of someone being sneaky on him. I think the Champion Room was some kind of sneaky trap. If the Great Gonzales could beat Rawk Hawk, then he would drain their strength, but if Rawk Hawk wins, then he would drain their strength. At least, he failed to drained the Great Gonzales strength. My speculation might be incorrect, so it's pretty much a guess.
Why’d they change Bonetail’s gender in the English version?
It probably was a mistake.
Was big boo in the original game?
Yes
One star point for bone tail?
Talk about a drop of blood

Wait Gus was a boss fight? I thought it was expected for players to take him on
No, it’s not. He’ll only fight players if they choose to fight him. The only reason I did was to get his Tattle Log entry. He’s actually pretty tough, since he’s got the same health as a Dark Craw. If a player fights and defeats him, he’ll flee to the base of the Robbos and you’ll never have to pay him again.
Most people will fight him but he is technically optional kinda like the Buzzar in Dry Dry Desert from 64.
