from someone that used to fix machines as my main job, well done!! newer zanussis have a sealed drum so are scrap if the bearings go

@@djdrunkenmonkey2indeed. My grandma has a John Lewis Electrolux washing machine that's about 14 years old now and the bearings have completely killed themselves and its a whole new tub. I've seen videos of people cutting the drums in half and replacing them, it would be cool to try. When done properly I believe it can work but it would come down to how confident you would feel using it as long as it doesn't leak.
Sealed tubs are an environmental disaster and such a waste. Surprised to see this Zanussi had a splittable drum.
@@WSHLNd120If you use enough bolts and nuts and use a proper sealant it won't leak. It's a common practice in Eastern Europe
When you knock the drum out of the tank, tighten the pulley bolt so as not to damage the end of the crosspiece

Well it all comes down to a throwaway society really. If you have a couple hours here and there you can easily do this job, it's for everyone but if your handy with tools and like to fix not replace then a task like this is definitely worth it.

Now these bearings were brutally murdered, holy shit. 🤣Well done, these machines are pretty good and repairable! So absolutely worth it.
What helps me to pull the drum shaft through the new bearings is to put on the pulley and tighten the screw, this pulls the drum in quite easily. Might have to loosen the screw a bit and re-position the pulley though. Also, the machines with the recirculation pump don't have a ball in the sump hose.
