  • In today's video we are going to design and cut out a 12-foot built in bookshelf and desk using a cabinet design software called mozaik!
    As you guys requested, this video is to show you how easy it is to design cabinetry in mozaik. It’s a drag and drop setup and then you can modify each cabinet as needed.
    Part 2 of this series-
    • Cabinet design made ea...
    While it is really easy in its initial thought, it can get really intricate too. It takes a lot of practice and time in the program to get really proficient at it.
    A lot of the learning is also based on knowing how you want to build. And knowing what details you want to have in a cabinetry design.
    After you learn how to design, then you’ll need to understand how to operate your CNC with the program as well. Knowing your feeds and speeds, what bits you’ll need and how you want to transfer your files from the program to the CNC.
    Mozaik is not just made for CNC’s though. You can also just use it as a design and cut-list software too.
    At the end of this video I tell you about today’s sponsor. ‪@ALLSTARCNCPRODUCTS‬
    I use all star CNC’s tile gasket on the spoil board of my CNC. The revolutionary tile gasket is used to increase the vacuum hold down power of my CNC! This is needed especially for when you are cutting small parts. When you are cutting parts out at speeds of 600 inches per minute or more, you don’t want to have a small part come flying off the machine. Losing a part while cutting is not only a safety concern but it’s costly too! You have to spend labor hours to recut that part and it will cost you in material costs as well.
    If you want try out some of the all star CNC products, here is the link! I highly recommend them!

    Man you make using a cnc seem so easy. I still haven’t pulled the trigger yet, I don’t want it to be a boat anchor. I will be waiting on part 2

      Lol thank you! I’m not a professional at it. Still learning! It’s definitely something that takes time to learn and do.

    Great video
    Helped a lot as a Mozaik user
    Will you please do some separate video on tool bits you have used with the help of Mozaik ?

      I’ll see if I can do a video on that in the future

    Nolan, you've definitely come a long way in a very short time, my friend. Good to see you! You may want to try changing to an upcut bit to help pull some of that sawdust and cut your cleanup time down.

      Thanks Al! Good to hear from you! I actually want the saw dust to stay there during the cut to keep the vacuum strong on the work piece. I need to switch from tabs to doing an onion skin. I’ve heard the second pass will clean up the chips better.

    Wow!
    Noland! This was a great and informative video. I totally enjoyed the complete video. It wasn’t too short or too long for someone who is not a woodworker or in the industry. It was very east to follow. Thank you! I shared it on X and Facebook.
    I’m praying your business continues to grow exponentially for 2024 and beyond. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
    🎉congratulations 🎊

    Thanks for making these videos. You’re doing exactly what I want to do. Is there anything you don’t like or have had problems with, using this phantom?

    Awesome content, Nolan. Really appreciate you showing the process. Seems like there should be a way to save and label your off-cuts so they can be easily reused. Looking forward to part 2!

      Thanks Joe! There is actually lol 😅 I just didn’t use it. It’s call remnants in the software. It’ll mark, cut, and save remnants for later use.

    Nice work Nolan! Great tip for the labels man saves me having to buy a subscription lol! I also built a parts cart that looks like yours ha. Looking forward to the next video.. -John from Savvy Farmhouse Design Co.

    Great Video. Do you ever make 2pc shaker doors with Mozaik? If so do you have a video on how you did it?.

      I haven’t tried yet. But I’m looking into though. Wouldn’t be a great option for me.

    Great job, I really appreciate the time you take to create this content. You stated you’re using a 3/8” compression bit at 600in/min. I know your depth of material is 3/4”, but could you tell me the rpm and step down value? I’m breaking a lot of 1/4” bits with 300in/min and 10,000rpm, 0.3” step down while cutting 3/4” birch plywood.

    • @NolanBuilt
      @NolanBuilt  Před 7 měsíci +1

      I’m running the 3/8” compression at 18,000 rpm, 60-200 ipm plunge rate. 3/16” stepover

    • @NolanBuilt
      @NolanBuilt  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Your rpm is too low for a 1/4” bit. Should at least be 18,000 rpm.

    Have you not got a spoil board on there

    • @NolanBuilt
      @NolanBuilt  Před dnem

      Yes it has an mdf spoil board, the black stuff is called tile gasket and it increases your vacuum hold down power.

      No this software has a monthly cost of about $195
