    Hey guys! I've got another Cricut Explore/Cricut Design Space tutorial for you today! This time I wanted to share with you how you can import PDF images into Cricut Design Space with a little bit of work. This works best with PDFs that have images with no white space intersecting the image because this process will clean up all white space around & through each image. It is best to do this with images that have bold defined borders or a gray defined border around any white space - like the daisy flowers in the PDF provided below. Let me know if you have any questions!
    Additionally, I am in no way an official person to consult with copyright and the like. Please read and understand all licensing agreements that come with any digital products you may use in the design process. I am merely offering a little education and how to on crediting the digital elements you use.

      Karen Gravatt If you’re running Windows, right click on the file and select “open in” then pick out your graphic program that can open pdf files and export to png. You can also open up your graphic program and import the pdf, and export or save to png. I believe you can use Inkscape for this. There’s also an online tool for this, maybe someone can provide a link to a free online conversion tool. Hope this helps.

    Thanks for the tutorial Moe. Quick question, what do you do when the actual design has white within it? when I use the magic wand to remove the white, it is also taking it out of the interior of some of the designs.

    • @MoeHoward516
      @MoeHoward516  Před 7 lety

      That is a bit tricky....the only think I can say to do with in Design Space is to clean up with the erasure tool rather than the magic erase. That will get you a cleaner edge. But its a bit finicky and not very precise. If you're looking to cut planner stickers there are a few other tutorials on my channel about doing that easier. Hope that helps :)

    • @MoeHoward516
      @MoeHoward516  Před 7 lety

      If you're uploading the full 8.5 x 11 inch sheet, Design Space only has a print then cut area about 6x8 inches so it might not all fit in that area causing the stickers to be smaller. You may have to cut out each individual image from the bigger 8.5 x 11 page the upload just that sticker image.

    Hello, electronics and I don't get along. I found your video from my bible Journaling group. Basically I want to take the designs we are given and instead of cutting out by hand, turn them into stickers because some are too hard to cut. I have only used my cricut machine once and had no clue how I managed to do it. I went and bought the cricut explore 2 not sure if my older model would hook up to laptop. Basically before I get even more longer winded and sound even more stupider could u tell me or point me in the direction of how to take my downloaded designs and have my cricut cut them out please. Thanks Kim.

    So I watched this video a few times and I noticed you said if the image has white space, its more difficult to use this method. what other methods are available? I own other software Adobe Photoshop (not 100% sure how to use it) would this method work to help distinguish white from off white areas? I purchased a few printable kits on easy that I love. But they are PDF only with zero cut files.

      If your machine supports a print then cut feature. I believe the only machines that do this are the Cricut Explore versions. Your machine has to be able to read registration marks on a sheet printed from your printer. Hope that helps.

    • @MoeHoward516
      @MoeHoward516  Před 7 lety +1

      The site that I use is FreePik - the images, for the most part, are vector images that you can open in a program like Adobe Illustrator or InkScape. This is my preferred method of obtaining images as the free clip art sites I've found don't really offer any assurance that the work isn't stolen. Another place to try is Free Pretty Things for You or The Graphics Fairy. If you Google any of those you should find access to their sites! Hope this helps!
