Long time no see! :D
Got a lot of exciting plans for 2020, dedicating my time to covering songs from my favourite games and anticipated releases of this year! Emerging out of my breif haitus with a cover from my absolute beloved entry in the Resident Evil franchise! The dreaded atmosphere and cut-throat challenging gameplay of RE3 put this game in first place for me, with addition to the relentless pusuit of Nemesis creating an experience none like any other at the time.
And just like my cover of 'Secure Place' from Resident Evil 2, I took a 20 second loop and managed to arrange a 7+ minute cover from it! The process of this cover was more of a practice in becoming more acclimated with the new software that is present on this track. Firstly, my drum software has been upgraded to the fantastic samples from the Modern and Massive pack by Get Good Drums. The guitar software has also been changed to the Archtype Nolly from Neural DSP as well as my bass going through the Parallax plugin from the same company. These new tools at my disposal is going to furthur develop my journey of .... *tone*.
With this arrangement, I took influence from a number of bands from the progressive metal spectrum, two that come to mind are Vola and Black Peaks. Hope you enjoy this one and look forward to more VGM covers this year!

Let me guess this is normally a 30 second song you genius bastard! Never played this one, but I remember watching my brother struggle with one part that ended up becoming hilarious. Something about the atmosphere of the first game that did it for me and the rest of the series has still failed to capture. Maybe because it was less over the top? I've only played 1, 2, the beginning of 4, 5, and the first on rail shooter on Wii. I dont care what anyone says I loved 5 haha.
