Finally a cover version of one of Frank's songs that I've listened to and enjoyed. I'd quite happily go and watch this live, somehow NMB has managed to capture a bit of the spirit and feel that has been so sadly missing in other covers I've heard. I hope you come to the UK some time 👍🏼
Those weapons passed long way from Iraq and were finally brought to occupied Crimea through Syria :))) But Napoleon is amazing anyway! Wish Napoleon should not ever disappear from the world's stages.

For some reason it's nearly impossible to imitate or cover Zappa. Compared to the real thing all the flaws stand out - intonation, precision, blend, groove, and authenticity. This is true even when FZ radically changed the line up. However, NMB rules this band and they come the closest to anything I've heard so far, including Dweezil.
I agree with every word that you have written here. Normally I can't listen to any of the cover/tribute bands, but I could quite happily go and watch this live, somehow NMB has managed to capture some of the spirit and feel that is so missing in other covers I've heard
I dont think this is the best fz cover, just by the fact that all the musicians except napoleon arent playing as free as the mother did. They are just following instructions (Sheet music) the drummer is reading :c sorry for my english, im not a native speaker but thats just my opinion
Well stated, my friend. As much as I love this rendition, which is very tight, I agree about the freedom and fluidity that only a band, with FZ at the helm, could really achieve.
I do love this rendition. NMB and the band definitely bring it, but there is still a void felt w/o FZ in the mix. Somehow, Frank's presence -- even his mere image -- seemed to validate the merger between musical genius and wackiness in both song and deed. These were his songs, his notes, his vibe, maybe even his people, and without him, it only serves as a nice tribute, but one that I think Frank would have been proud of, even if the guitarist was trying a little too hard to look the part of a rock star...that was not FZ at all.
