New ones are just rolling problems on wheels, I pulled up to the gas station awhile ago and a lady was there with a brand new Chevy Crossover, probably a '17 model. She had just put gas in it and the car went completely dead, had power but refused to do anything when the ignition was pushed. She had to get her brand new car towed to the dealer, ridiculous! • @swagmonee5699
      @swagmonee5699 Před 5 lety

      They're just playing to the current market. Every brand has a whole big range of SUVs that are barely bigger than one another but that's what the people want. I agree they should've made the Blazer more off-road worthy or at least given it a different name, but the car itself isn't that bad.
      And it isn't going to hurt sales either. If anything, I think it'll help sales because the older people that are getting SUVs are going to remember the Blazer name, possibly connect it to a good memory or something, and then buy it based off nostalgia or maybe just name recognition.

The car needed a tune up, brake lines, tires, the gear shift indicator and probably a thermostat (it overheated once, early on) but other than that and lower door rust (covered by paneling already) it was solid. We drove it 20k until I wasn't driving one day and someone forced Dad into a telephone pole with it in 2017. Although he was (and still is) on blood thinners, he wore his belt (albeit in the middle belt buckle, driver one broke) and his knees went through the lower plastic dash but he came back from the hospital the same day. He was 70 at the time and maybe 220 pounds, he crashed in a 45 zone and it was either a pole or going down a slope in a field.

      @Big Tex Hope you saw the Gilmour, Mason, Waters, & Wright line-up. They were never the same when Roger left. There was a time when I could have seen them without Roger, but it just wasn't the PF I had grown up with and loved.

    Not a bad deal for $500. A little light on the drive wheels. Rear wheel drive... makes me pine for the old days. A V-6. Horsepower... yes. Torque...sure. It will get you around. Like my father used to say “Cost per mile”.

    Love Chevys but came across a Ford I couldn't say no to. An 87 Mustang GT 5 speed car for $700.
    not rotted or banged up the paint needs some work. Put in a starter, battery new tank, fuel level sender, fuel pump, timing chain and water pump.Oh recharged the ac and it works fine. Been driving it for about 3 months and runs great. Love projects!!!!!

      Hello. This is a 78 because the grill is a little different in 79 models. The grill s style of this ElCamino indicates 78 but the rest is identical to the 79.

    Man, I've always loved the El Camino. If I wasn't so economical with my money, I would definitely buy one as a project car.
