Fascinating to watch the layering of paint colors, all the brushes used and the palette knife (and maybe the tip of a finger near the end?). I'm impressed by the precision and fabulous results you can achieve.

Ahhhh. How do you guys lay down so much paint onto the surface and it doesn’t get mixed or muddier ... and when i paint I’m not 5 minutes into the painting and it’s all mud 🥺😭😭😭

He was speaking to the under painting. You want to establish the form, value, light and contrast early in your painting. Some of that early work will come through in the final. It helps give you a sense of detail and realism without over rendering your painting.
