After 2002 I stoped listening everyday but I hear now he’s a complete old man Jew or 1/2 Jew grumpy- I read also he was complaining about people not getting Covid shots? What is he now a left winger? The show started sucking once Jackie left say 2002- the stern from say 1985-2000 was absolutely brilliant

They all go left wing after they get crazy rich. Gotta tow that line to keep their riches. I’m republican, I’m all for capitalism, but damn Stern. And everyone else doing it. Can’t you all be men and keep your morals and opinions you really have? Old Howard would have laughed in the face of the idea of people trying to cancel him. He’d have destroyed that crowd and been even bigger than he was, and that’s saying a lot. But, he’s like 70 now. It’s not like he has the testosterone when he was at his best. Think of it like this. When Howard was playing those clips of his father screaming at him when he was a child, now modern day, he’s even older than his dad when he called in to the show to talk about the tapes. Gotta stop hating on stern so much for how he is now. He’s legally classified as elderly. He’s a pampered, old man. And he’s STILL up before most of us are, getting ready and doing his show. Even if the show sucks, respect the man’s insane work ethic and the decades he gave us. Even in his heyday, the stuff he said, so much of it wasn’t even really how he felt. He was just trying to drum up so much controversy and amazement at this lunatic on the radio. Now that he’s cemented his place, he’s basically just working as the REAL Howard, but a much older and more feeble one. I can’t really dislike him for it as much as so many people I see in the clips. I see the reality and reasoning of it. All our heroes get old. But we were so lucky and still are to always have these archives of the greatest radio show ever created. It’ll be a huge loss to all of us the day he retires and one day passes away, regardless of how you feel about him now. That man made us, at least me, laughing until I’m in tears more times than I can even remember. And he did it and got to where he was through sheer will and balls. How do you not respect that at the end of the day? Howard Stern made our lives better, he basically single-handedly on his audience alone move to Sirius m, which at the time was laughed at by everyone that thought terrestrial radio was all there would ever be and he had 20 million subscribers in a year when they might not have even had a million before he came on board. Everything he did was undeniably successful, and that doesn’t just happen by chance. I respect the hell out of the man.

@@thebadaidsWell put! I’ve not listened to the new Stern format since around the “departure” of Eric the Actor. However, your summary of the current, older and to a point maturer Stern was perfect. People have to be allowed to change and develop. I may not enjoy the current show but I don’t begrudge those who do and I’m just grateful that we have the luxury of instantly available “bits” from an archive of almost forty years of content. Forty years - of course the man is going to change!
