Bill Baize is an American Gospel singer who was a member of Trailsmen, and the Smitty Gatlin Trio from 1966 to 1967. From 1971 to 1976 Bill Baize sang tenor for J D Sumner And The Stamps. During this time, along with releasing their own Gospel albums, J D Sumner And The Stamps did Elvis Presley's background vocals on tour, as well as background vocals on the Presley album "Promise Land". Beginning in 1976 Baize began a long running Gospel solo career.

I always wanted to know about the ahh in Burning Love, now I know.
Interesting he mentions Elvis wearing a wig and then taking it off and throwing it at one of the singers to break the Ice. I recently read Joyce Bova’s book and she recounted meeting Elvis one night and she thought something about him looked different. She said his hair looked different, when she mentioned that to Elvis he proceeded to remove the wig he’d been wearing and explained sometimes he’d wear one when he didn’t have time to have his hair styled. I think this was around the same time Bill began singing backup for Elvis.
