Paul’s book is really good along with face the music and They really helped me through my horrible grade 8 year. He became a huge inspiration to me and I’m glad he’s in my life
Choose your Hero's wisely. Paul Stanley is a great choice. My 7th and 8th grade were also horrible. I was in a new school in a new state. I was a bit overweight and didn't fit in. I was ridiculed and made fun of to the point where I believed I sucked. Then, Kiss came along. It was the first time I stood up for myself, when people made fun of this and told me Kiss sucked- I told them to basically f*ck off, because I knew this was cool. Paul Stanley made me cool. Everything changed. Since 8th grade and most of high school my life as completely turned around. I've been massively successful, I moved from the northeast to CA. I've gone out with women that were WAY above the rim for me, from many countries. I still see those kids that made fun of me on Facebook - and I only show them that living well is the best revenge. I don't fight back now that I'm a success in many ways, but know that we've all grown. That ridicule pumped me up to work out and live life to its fullest. You too, my friend, will be a success. You have way more at your disposal than I did- starting with these two Paul Stanley books. Follow YOUR path and enjoy YOUR journey. You will have a great life.
Thanks. I’m only 14 but after listening to Kiss, I decided I wanna be a rockstar and record songs. I have a bunch of song lyrics in my room and I hope in the future I’ll get involved in the music industry
@@raedroid1703 You can certainly do whatever you want with your life. For me, if I was going to try and be a rock star, I'd have something else/develop other skills to fall back on for sure. There is too much that's out of your control and luck needed to make it in that industry. Even Paul Stanley said if it wasn't for Bill Aucoin and what he did for them, they probably wouldn't have made it. And, Bill Aucoin was never a manager before. They took a huge chance on him and got lucky.
Aww you sad little pussy!
PICK OUT A BETTER ROLE MODEL. THIS GUY IS A USER AND A LIAR.
Paul Stanley is an amazing human being. I thank him for sharing his story.
I love Paul's books. I love KISS and Paul's music and the deep inspiration he's had in my life forever. It's wonderful that so many of my hard rock heroes in KISS and other bands like Sabbath and Ozzy have put out so many awesome autobiographical books. When I am not lost in their music, I am lost in their books. I am obsessed with these life story novels. Paul's two novels are incredible..
YOU HAVE PROBLEMS, SEE PSYCHO THERAPIST, ASAP
@@user-wv5uf1kg8u well, then, i guess a lot of people need to see psycho therapist if they listen to certain music and certain books, then
The first line.....I started crying.
So glad he connected with his Dad.
But he did fight his own battles and he won. You, Go, Paul!!!
In 1977, my step-father used to booze it up and unfortunately would take it out on my big brother and me. Kiss was a way to take a break from reality as I would stare at the albums in awe and listen to their music. Now, in my late 40's and a father myself, I find myself once again listening to Kiss (well, Paul) and his advice from the perspective of his own father and his kids. Safe to say Kiss has been a pretty big part of my life throughout the years.
Paul and his books helped me through some of the deepest parts of my life. I’m so happy that he’s a part of my life, not personally, but just in general, yknow?
Man Paul has written some FANTASTIC anthems. 👍
C'mon and Love Me is kinda genius in it's way.
Met him today in NJ book signing. I waited since 8:30 am and was #3 on line of about 1000.
He was super nice and it was a great day with great people !!!
Paul is the greatest! !!
1000?! Wow!
@@NightWarriorAlive Actually it turned out to be close to 1600 by nights end.
Wow, I'll bet. I saw him in Chicago, for his first book, and it was around 650, I think.
NightWarriorAlive Naperville?
Yeah, Naperville.
wow, I can tell from the sound of his voice that he was having a bit of a moment while reading the part "there was a time when I wish my father would die". he's also 100% right... I wish I could've said certain things to my father as well - and now it's too late, he is gone. so many times, I wish I could have cleared the air between us... i'm glad he has reached that point with his father. he seems like a very thoughtful person. he also seems like a very cool guy... you can't help but like him after listening to him speak like this.
Such a “life” knowledgeable man! So inspiring with his thoughts, words and feelings. Could listen to him talk all day!
❤️ Love his book. I realy love this man, realy a great guy. He is so a relaxed, welspoken and a family man. His way of thinking i like it. He is down to earth. His warm voice, as musican beautiful THANK YOU 🌹💋💖And Paul you look so good! 👍
Don't people understand he made the band he created everything with his two hands he made the art work all the numbers one hit single on each album if people don't like it so what i really respect him for that i am a number one supporter of him what ever he decided i will always stand behind him like Paul Stanley said before if u don't like it u could kiss my ass
@@mufozomby7637 that rejected your advances and hurt you.
They’ve never had a number one hit single let alone one on every album.

Paul is a very inspirational person.
He’s such a down to earth and nice person ❤️❤️❤️
I can't imagine kiss without paul Stanley. As we say the show must go on
Read the book and learned a lot about Paul and his sharing this with us all his true personal life. He is a good story teller.
Loved Pail Stanleys Face the Music ,
So cool to now see how human and down to Earth he is - nostalgic and great to hear the story of him and Kiss- I really admire his determination.
Wonderful Interview with the great (Paul Stanley) my hero ever! And forever (Congratulations) to everyone, just great, all stay with God.
Well hes definitely prolific and keeps focus on his life. He manages to share some very personal stuff you dont see many celebrities do
I love this human I think a great example as a parent plus to people to be a humble good man., ,,father and fri e nd 🙏🌹💫👍❤❤❤❤
He’s awesome we love him in the band he’s good looking and he looks sooooooo good we still love him

If you believe in rock and roll, well stand up for what you believe in! C'mon get up! Whoooo!
dont tell anyone im old and a fake ass asshole
Love his speaking voice.
I understand what Paul means by parents wishing important problems away, ignoring you a bit, and the delays in personal progress this may cause.
So that you have to still find that real inner growth, whatever way you can - and ultimately make peace with parents. It's all worth it in the end.
Brilliant, people get stronger when you love them.
I love this paul awesome
Such an amazing artist I'm glad to be a fan rock on paul
I love this guy, so normal, same issues as all of 👤 US.. ♥️ 😘
Just read the book...he tells it like it is. Learned some too. Great guy!
IS FANTASTIC TO SEE HOW HE IS THINKING AND TO SEE HIM VERY WISE NOT SMASHING HIS OUR BELOVED GUITARS
Paul is a good reader, I wish he kept on reading the book.
"self expression is how I define myself".... How DEEP!!!!

I must have that book.
Damn, much deeper than face the music..
Lets thank those wicked parents for giving us the great Paul Stanley
How ya doin' tonight people?!?!
It's getting mighty HOT tonight! And I know! I know-you people can bring the roof down!!!
This great book
I need those lighted glasses in my life.
Very articulate and smart.
Paul... You need to pull those glasses out at some point during this last tour! With all those pyros, that would be wild! 🤘😝🤘
Amen🙏❤️💜❤️
Paul Stanley is so humble and down to earth. He rocks!!!!
Peter Panassow - yea so humble he charges $30 to sign the book you already bought.
Peter Panassow Humble?
Yeah. He's humble. And I am David Letterman
What made Paul Stanley such a great musician was is his passion for music. I believe that is what is missing in modern music there is no passion or creativity. Singing a bunch of words in my opinion. Is just words on a page. There are superstars in music and then there are just good musicians. Stage presence and connection to the audience is either there or it isn't . You can't create it
I love paul stanletys book but it was'nt long enough!
Wow! His dad is 99 years old. Crazy.
So?? My dad is almost 80
@@PerpetualArt I am a so sorry about your loss. I feel guilty. My dad is pushing 80 and my grandmother who has advanced dementia is almost 100
@@annetteslife + Both my parents died at 69. It was tough, or I should say is. Don't feel guilty, feel grateful. 80 is really good, and he could live another 20 years if he is healthy. Peace!
@@PerpetualArt sorry I was so blunt. I didn't mean to be mean. I tried to call my father today but I guess he is out camping. He does that every year where he goes camping. Just him and his little pug X while my mom stays at home. I do worry when my father is out on the road because there were two incidents in the province where I live where elderly couples were brutally murdered. I do live in Canada, so I do worry about my dad being on the road. I did not worry when he was younger but now that he is 79 1/2 going onto in January. The last time he came to see me which was almost a year ago, I told him it is just too dangerous for him out there just don't come to see me anymore. Sorry I am rambling
@@annetteslife he misses you, You should see him,,,
Man that started harsh. Paul is a good reader and you can tell by what he reads here and his first book shows were he got his insecurities.
Looking forward to reading the book. Been a Kiss fan since 1975 & been till this day a big part of my life, I would love to have Paul on my late night show sometime.

“ it’s interesting to have young fans come to Kiss shows and be blown away by how I look physically”. How does his head fit though the door ?
@eric salman HHAHAHAAAHHAAAA
Once he takes off the wig, it's easy to fit thru the door. Paul and Gene have the biggest egos in all of rock n roll. "We're at the top of our game"...Paul Stanley - 2018.Bwahahahaha! Not even close Paul! '76-'78 was KISS' heyday.
hahahaha good one thanks
Hey fonz! First judging the music, now the books and interviews!!! SHUT UP!! NO ONE LIKES YOUR STUPID COMMENTS!!
Yes, letting people hurt doesn't make them strong. Hurting is not a good thing, not a special "gift" to help people deal with life.
14:38 funny 😂⭐️
"You know, it interesting......"
STOP SAYING THAT! 20 years of that now!
It's ok Paul, I use glasses now. I don't need a wig yet, though. ; ) No, but he's a very talented writer. Very smart man.

Today I Listen to Face the Music Audiobook that i really enjoy listen
He said “that caught your ear”! Hahaha
haaaw haaaaaw haaawww haaawww - daaaamn
.....Stanley's next book...."Better To Be the Bus Driver Than The Guy Under It"....(Currently still being written....On Simon & Schuster books)
Its good he & his father have been getting along, im very curious what happened to his Sister & does he ever talk to her? I think Paul & Gene have Rocks in their head for suggesting KISS should continue with out them. WTF?
MetalHeart8787 If it continues as a “Brand” then as co-founders they make $$$ either way? Either they remain controllers of the “Brand” which continues with younger members OR they sell out their🌟controlling🌟rights & live🌟on $$ in infamy& on ROYALTIES🤩
He should give up KISS and take to reading and poetry because he is wonderful at that
Kiss is on their final tour so maybe that’s what will happen!
I agree. Hopefully Kiss doesn't completely go away. I do like his books, his views on accountability with love and restoration. Paul is eloquent and just in my opinion.
@@samanthavictoria3308 I hope so.
he's also a good painter
And he should be a fiction writer. He is great at that.
Not a big fan of kiss but I do like Paul Stanley I try to raise my kids the same way.
So you're raising your kids to be Star-Childs?
I wonder how long it took him to rip Peter Chris? Is he lip syncing this?
He lips, and you suck..mostly wishing it was the balls of Paul Stanley you were sucking.
I would agree that I hate the phrase, "If that was me, I would......" yeah OK. Thanks for the free advice.
Paul's right. So called tough love does not produce positive results. I remember my mom dropping me off at kindergarten. Never told me about it. Never sat down and explained what it was all about. She just dumped me there, made me feel abandoned and unwanted. I couldn't stop frantically crying. And up to that point my mom was like the best friend I had in my little world. Then through out my elementary school years when ever I was picked on nobody did anything to intervene. So I just figured I must be a totally worthless person that nobody likes.
That's a crazy story Louis. I adjusted to school thank God. I am not sure if I could have handled school any harder than it was. I hope you adjusted. Obviously you made it this far.
Perpetual Art, Yeah I think I'm all adjusted now. School was a long long time ago. High school ended 1980 for me. But now I know why I keep my mom kind of at arms length. I mean I was married had kids and all that stuff. But my wife was less adjusted than me. Found out too late. She thought marriage was to be a balance of responsibility and fun and games. Responsibility for me. Fun and Games for her.
@@louisborselio8608 + Is your mom a drinker by chance? I know that's none of my business, but my mom was. She passed in 2016. Actually December 28 2016. I had the same type of relationship with her as you are explaining.
No, nothing like that. It was just a time back in the 60's parents weren't taught child psychology and reasoning skills. Especially moms. They just cooked, cleaned, and made sure our dumb asses were out of the house as soon as they could. Believe me the kindergarten trauma took about a week. Even my shocked mind realized Okay this is a routine. As for the school bullying it wasn't an everyday thing. More like once in a blue moon. Which in a way made it worse because it caught you more off guard. Believe me lifting weights and cranking up the rock cures a lot of ills. I go to my moms house twice a week. But I offer my condolences for yours.
im currently trying to develop a healthy relationship with my father, not easy!
try letting go of any expectations you might have of who and how he should be
Well, I can tell ya this: you may not get there dicking around on CZcams
14:40 got uncomfortable I'm sure but quick save.
This is Paul..the nice side..which is good...heez not a 100 dollar bill that everyone would like..heez cool
I get what he's saying about how he felt his parents did not raise him well, but look at where he ended up. Would we have Paul Stanley and Kiss if they had raised him the way he wishes he had been raised? It's really none of my business, but it makes me curious. Different situation, but Beethoven's father was just horrible to him... would wake him up at 3am to play for his drunk buddies, coming home from the bar. His father would rap him on the knuckles if he made a mistake. I wouldn't want to be raised like that, either... just thinking out loud. Wondering what people think.
I'm thinking Beethoven had one helluva nice head of hair.👍
Paul is a decent human being. He is well rounded, and a rock star. So everyone has to remember that. Nothing is free in this world. And if you work hard, you have a chance to do the same. Yes, he’s jewish but whatever. Everyone in the USA has opportunity. I get sick and tired of hearing how he’s greedy or his opinion of himself is better than everyone else.
Thank you
Love KISS music. Paul was my favorite of them... until recently.
Seen an advert he was gonna be at Barnes and Noble May 8th for a book signing at The Grove in Los Angeles. The advert also said I could get my picture taken with Paul, on my own phone I assumed by staff.
At last I get to meet my favorite KISS member, shake his hand, and let him know I love his music!
So on May 7th I purchase his book at the B&N in Torrance thinking I'll get a good spot in line if I don't have to purchase the book first.
Get to The Grove B&N the next day and I'm told by staff it's a ticket only event! AND tickets cost 30 fucking dollars!
The $30 ticket price was something the advert conveniently omitted.
The damn book cost around $22 with tax. Add to the ticket $30 and you have more than $50! Just to get a picture with money grubbing paul fucking Stanley!! Oh! I forgot The Grove also charges you to park in the structure!
I promptly got in my car, drove back to the B&N in Torrance and returned the damn book!
I am officially done, finished with kiss. Glad it's the end of the road for them. You stayed 20 years too long.
You lose..
Damn...you liked him for being a rock star. But he acts like one with you, and it's no good?
Maybe you should have bought the book first
You're actually totally wrong. It was $35. It included a signed copy of the book AND a photo with Paul. So yeah $22 for the book and $15 for a photo. I was stoked I finally got to meet him and tell him what an inspiration he is to me. Sorry you got shafted on that but yeah it was ticketed and it did sell out. But it was NOT $50 plus dollars. The line wnet fast and he was cool to everyone.
Also, you could have parked on the street or gotten your parking validated so it was like $3 for parking. Not exactly sending you to the poor house. And seriously, for $15 to meet a hero of mine is a small small price to pay. There was nothing that felt like "money grubbing"... This sounds more like somone who's bitching and moaning because they didn't have all the info. Next time do your research. Don't blame Paul for your inadequacies.
paul stanley reads??? and plays guitar?
not mutch

It would be cool if Paul and Gene’s boys would continue Kiss.
