This song has one of the best Ace's solos since the 70s, and Paul's vocals are great here too. Terrific track.
regardless of the past, these two rock!! Ace is truly the HARDEST rocker of them all. they are great together.

this is a fantastic rendition of fire and water and I'm so glad to see Paul and Ace together again after so long. it's a shame the whole band wasn't there though. it would've been good to see what Peter and Gene could add to this already killer song. I know some people disagree but every band member has their strengths and weaknesses but they were always best together and in their original lineup.
Ace's guitar solo from the song they covered is magical, it's like old Ace. Guitar solos should always be that long, they should never be shorter than a minute in my opinion, guitar solos are the best part of a rock and roll song in my opinion. Ace's guitar solos are always fun to listen to, his personality shows in his guitar solos.

No the song is the most important part of the song. The solo adds to the song but the solo cannot replace the song, the song can replace the solo. But a great solo again adds to the song and highlights the lead guitarist for a time and should always be in the song. But the song is the key and the solo done right comes from the song, not the other way around
Aces solos were always so melodic and catchy. My favourite part of KISS’ songs easily.

That's just Paul. He can't stand it when the spotlight isn't on him, even for only a second.. He has to ruin Ace's parade by saying something rude.. Paul loves himself and wants it to be all about him.. I love Ace, he is one awesome guitar player with a New York Groove. He is also down to Earth and so loveable, and the older he gets the better looking he gets. He is a legend..A man with Class and Style. I love ya Ace. SHOCK ME...

Man...I love how Paul payed homage to cats like Otis Redding, Solomon Burke and other Black Americans artists which, explains why I incorrectly thought he was "Black" when I started listening to kiss back in 1976....he still has a certain soulful sound with certain KISS songs....keep jamming together ....brothers....
Paul, Ace and Peter should do more collaborations. They are like brothers. When they combine thier skills together they create pure magic.

Ace still so complimentary of Stanley, even after Stanley couldn't say one nice thing about his solo other than it's "long". Ace is always so humble, cool, funny, and awesome in every interview, and whatever the opposite is of that is Paul Stanley.

I firmly believe that Paul and Ace were the two "Rockers" in KISS. I think the chemistry that those two have is better than Paul and Gene's chemistry. Ace was a healthy balance to Paul's writing style and their similarities in music made them the best fit for a musical relationship.

There may have been bad feelings, and maybe there stiil are, but in the end they are brothers. An honest interview, and the hand on hand bit shows the respect they have for each other, as long as the business does not get on the way!

I grew up with their music,so glad to see them here on an interview together,RIP Eric Carr, I remember buying the magazine Hit Parader in 1975 when I was 15 and seeing these guys on it,brings back childhood memories

Back then, yes....now, no. His drumming was never very good. Ace was the most important to the original KISS sound. He left a huge fingerprint on that distinct sound.

I have been a fan of kiss since I was a teenager, I really like the music, it's understandable and the makeup looks so cool on them, certain musicians scream out there music in which it's hard to understand but kiss they seem to sound awesome and there songs remind me of past experiences that I went through or somewhat relatively compatible to my past relationships, I listen to kiss when I'm lonely or sad or I just need to see a sweet smile that usually cheers me up when I'm finding myself mixed up and confused about certain things in my life. I respect people that are older and wiser than me and it's a great feeling to know one of my favorite bands in the world are doing well
